I think not. I have been searching for an answer and I think the only way to follow your friend is to either both have Game Center accounts or to go to their farm using a newspaper add.

You receive them form helping on other people's farms. You can help revive plants/trees or boats. Once you help the next time they are on they click it to send a thank you note and it sends you a gift card. You then click on the other mail box and on the front you will click accept all.

How do you search up a friend on hay day? Because I have a sertain friend I want to follow but I don't know how what do I do?
