Base
Make sure you always keep a few units behind when you move about so you are always prepared to defend your base when/if the enemy draws near.
Hidden Enemies
Make sure you keep an eye out for enemies that are hidden from your sight
Energy
Remember that any energy that does not get used in a turn will carry over to the next one.
Soldiers
Soldiers are very effective as walls with only the toughest units being able to take them down with one hit.
Snipers
Don't waste your snipers on the frontline as they will not survive long. Keep them back and take advantage of their abilities which can be devestating if you use them well.
Medic
A good strategy which will make your tank units almost unstoppable is to always have a medic near them.
