Survive the first night

Ok when you start the game in survival mode what you do is pick a spot and dig away one 0ne block. Then you dig down by 3 or 4 more blocks. Mobs cannot spawn in the small spaces so you will be safe. When you want to leave just jump and place blocks under your feet when you do untill you have only 1 block missing from the hole then when night falls again dig back into your hole. This is how I have surivived for 3 game weeks straight and now have a huge underground mansion eventually you will only have to leave you're house for trees livestock and to kill mobs of course
