If given the choice to upgrade choose 'Second Chance' or 'Lucky Gear' first. 'Second Chance' gives you an extra life for free every so often and 'Lucky Gear' gives you more gears.

Avoid trying to chase every gear as some of them have been deployed to entice you to jump where you shouldn't be jumping or stand when you should instead be tucked up and rolling.

Don't watch the runner, it is more beneficial to instead watch to see what is coming as there will be times when obstacles will not scroll into view but instead suddenly appear.

Every so often you will be redirected between runs to a screen that gives you an option to watch a game trailer in return for 100 gears.

To perform better jumps either hold the Up arrow for longer or double tap to double jump.

If you need to land faster roll in the air as this has the effect of increasing gravity.

Early in the game just focus on completing mission and don't worry about getting high scores. When you complete missions you will be rewarded with keys that will give you extra gears.
