Try and save some ranged attacks for the sniper skeletons as your melee weapons will not be able to reach them. Crossbows and spells are particularly effective against them.

Make sure keep an eye on your health and have enough food rations available to avoid dying from starvation. If your character is starving you will not be able to recover some health and their mood will decrease which will affect them in battle.

Do not be tempted to spend your rations on anything you do not need. Only use rations to sleep in the taverns if you are desperate.

Try to save as much gold as possible so you can use it on your next major equipment grade which should be your prime focus.

A lantern is a necessity as using one will reveal all the enemies in a level and allow you to easily navigate your way around the enemy positions.

There will be times where it will be more beneficial to dungeon crawl and try to stock up gold reserves to help with the next dungeon than it is to just finish it.

Keep an eye out for the rat that runs around the edge of the dungeon and if possible poke it as doing so can earn you gold.

It is not necessary to fight everything, there will be times where the best strategy is to run away and preserve your character, particularly on the longer dungeons.

Remember that when you salvage items you will charge up your power bar making your character's special abilities more potent.

You will be given the opportunity after every 5 levels in a dungeon to buy some items from a goblin. If it looks like you are not going to survive the next few levels don't be tempted to waste your gold on a handful of weak weaponry, it is more beneficial to save the gold.

Although they are expensive it is worth investing whenever possible in the variety of different items you can buy in your mansion as they can permanently change your stats.

Try not to leave any loot behind as you progress through the game, although your inventory will inevitably fill up you can always salvage excess items to make room for something that has just dropped.

Don't be afraid to poke around in a dungeon as there is always a chance you will find bonus gold, places to search in particulare are the crates in the goblin's shop and the rocks outside the dungeon's entrance on the world hub.

To activate the shrines outside the dungeon entrance to power up your hero for the next dungeon run will cost you gold. Make sure you pay attention to what each power buff does and select accordingly as the shrines will only work for a number of times.
