It is only worth using the rewind feature if you screw-up in the first half of a level as it deletes a second off your timer every time you use it.

Take the opportunity to grab extensions early in a level if they are not out of your way before things start getting chaotic.

A good strategy before you start your engine is to scope out the bird's eye view of the city when you are introduced to a driver. Make a note of your exit, bridges and potential shortcuts through alleyways and across lawns.
