These can be annoying as they climb up your play field towards your dessert. They can be eliminated by lining up pieces of the same colour or alternately using a power-up to knock them out of the way. In the early stages of the game they are easy to get rid off but as you progress to the later levels you will find that it gets more difficult as you will have to deal with more than one at a time.

You begin the game with 5 lives and 50 coins which you can use to buy extra power-ups and tries. Once they have been used up you will need to invest real money to get more, this stars with 25 coins for $0.99 up to $49.99 for 1,475 of them.

Keep an eye out for X pieces that you earn by lining up several pieces in a certain formation. When they are eliminated they will explode in an X shape taking out any pieces in the nearby vicinity. Use the X pieces to your advantage when building combos.

This is accomplished when you line up four pieces together in a section. Depending how you remove them from the board will mean you either see remaining cookie pieces that have a vertical or horizontal line in them. When you align these with similar pieces, you will be able to clear the row or column they are lined up with. You can get some great scores by linking a number of these combos together to take out numerous pieces at once.

To remove the waffle piece that surrounds another cookie ingredient you need to match three or more of these colours to the coordinating piece trapped in the waffle. When you accomplish this it will break apart and you will be able to continue. Time your moves carefully as there will be levels that are filled with 20 or more of these pieces. Make sure you use power-ups to eliminate troublesome pieces along the way.

Another useful power-up is the spoon which has the capability when activated to eliminate a single piece from the board with a single tap. The Spoon power-up is particularly effective against the gingerbread man.

The most effective power-up is the Rolling Pin which has the ability to take out in one shot a row filled with waffle squares that you need to eliminate.

As you progress through the game you will unlock new useful power-ups. The first few times that you use them they will be free then afterwards to continue using them a certain number of times you will have to spend coins or spend around 150 coins to unlock them completely.
