A decent way of gettin dog tags Is on the second level of the prologue map. Mow the enemies down from the bunker with the machine gun and you will get a substantial amount of tags. Repeat this level as many times as you need to.
When you have collected ALL the updates go to the shop and there will be a 'Free Medal' sign in the bottom right corner. If the sign is not there you need more updates. You will get 1 medal for each video you watch.
