Make sure that whenever possible you visit the Shop and spend any diamonds you have on the 'enhancements' so that you can gain some useful boosts that will help you progress in the game.

The first boats to send in are the minesweepers so they can clear out the mines, once you have achieved this send in your ironclad boats to take the shots from the gun turrets. If you then send in the speedboats they will be able to take out most of the targets.

This enhancement allows you to gain Experience just by having it.

To get the most benefit from your Jade barrels when you are in battle you need to wait until you are as close to the guns as possible before they start firing.

Save the drone ships for when you find yourself in tough battles as these kamikaze attackers are gone after you have used them once. Definately don't waste them on the ladder battles if you can help it.

When you have this enhancement you will have the ability to earn more Jade each time that you attack an enemy.

This enhancement allows you to earn more gold from every attack that you do.

This enhancement takes away the cooldown time between building thus enabling you to have unlimited build projects at a time.

If you go to the 'Shop' menu (not the in app purchase store) and select the button that says 'Watch' you can earn diamonds for free by viewing the advertisement videos there.

If you go to the 'Achievements' menu (looks like a trophy) you will be able to see how you can earn free diamonds by completing Achievements, you will also be able to claim any rewards there that you may have already earned.

Make sure before you send your boats into battle that you have a balance between retaining as many boats as poosible while getting as much jade and barrels as you can. It is best to send the boats in on two sides unless you have eight or more boats in which case it is better to send them in on three sides.
