Treasure Hunter Achievement/Trophy

-- Achievement/Trophy: Treasure Hunter --

To unlock the Treasure Hunter Achievement/Trophy you need to "Hold every weapon and accessory" in the game.  No joke, this is a tough achievement but it is worth 80 GS on the 360 and is a Gold Trophy on the 360.  I know a lot of my mates have plenty of Bronze and Silver Trophies but Gold ones?  Not so much.  Clearly this is one of the ones you will want to actively try for as you play the game, so listen up!

You not only have to have the weapons and accessories that you can get by looting, you also have to have the ones you get through crafting - a much more daunting challenge indeed!  There are some items you can get that will make this easier however, starting with Collector Catalog, which increases the frequency of Platinum drops in loot, and the Connoisseur Catalog, which increases the frequency of  Dark Matters and Trapezohedrons that drop in loot.  Obviously you want to keep an eye out for those accessory items to drop.

You will want to retain every ingot that you get to use in making the weapons you need to make for this, and while you do not actually have to possess ALL of the items at the same time, you do need to retain them until you can fully upgrade them - because each weapon has multiple level tiers and some of them are unique.  That means if you mess up and sell one of the unique ones, you will not be able to get another like it, which means you will not be able to upgrade it, which means you will not unlock this achievement/trophy.

There are three level tiers for each weapon.  which means you will not want to get rid of any weapon that is NOT a tier 3 weapon - simple enough to remember, right?  Do not sell any tier 1 or 2 weapons and that will keep you from making a mistake.  As for accessories, some of them are uber rare - for instance the elemental rings are basically one-offs.  Sell one of those and you are hosed.

To unlock this achievement/trophy you will need to collect the following in addition to lots of ingots and lots of Gil.  Each item is listed with its corresponding characteristic noted if it is a stat-effecting item (and most are).

Weapons Note: Each item listed is followed by an identification of its group and tier.  Example = S1T1 translates to Sword 1, Tier 1.  The tier 2 version of that sword is S2T2, etcetera.

u have to talk to bhatki (the robot dog) in oeraba to get to the title and i would assume then the achievement would be unlocked u only need 1 ¨ultimate" weapon for each charcter so after u have omega weapon u only need to upgrade each of lightnings weapons once all weapons are available at the shops but the elemental charms and rings and their upgrades are available only from hunts and treasure spheres so be careful not to sel them or dismantle them due to items like the gold watch and genji glove doing a second playthru just for this acheivement could easily take an excess of 60 hours

Do you need to upgrade each weapon to it's level 3 so u end up with 8 level 3 weapons for every1 or is getting 1 weapon to ultimate for each enough?

You can still get tier one weapons even if u have sold em. The taming pole tho, amoungst certain other weapons can only be bought from the Gilgamesh Inc shop which in turn u get only by defeating the Zirnitra mark in the faultwarrans (on silent wings mission 46). Wouldn`t Recommend going there tho until your party is sufficiently strong enough to take on the monsters that inhabit the place.

Actually its not that hard to get this, all u have to do is NOT sell any of the accessories or weapons while playing the game--its that simple
REALLY Amazing game though, wasnt hard of an achievement--got it first run through
