Fallout 3 Broken Steel Guide

Welcome to Broken Steel, the third, hotly anticipated DLC for Fallout 3.  You will finally be able to continue where Fallout 3 left off, and the Level Cap has been increase from 20 to 30.  Fourteen Perks have been added, so this Guide details further character customization for your convenience.

This Guide will go over the Main Quest first, after which all other details will be laid out.

Now let’s kick some Enclave ass!

I for one find the deathclaws pathetic i snipe them with my victory rifle (sniper rifle} before they get close and for the rare chance they do my prototype medic armor heals any damage they do no problem most of my perks are based on criticals so i have little to no issue at the most it takes 2 shots for a deathclaw.

Would someone please answer me whether or not loading Broken Steel will in some way effect (read erase or otherwise ruin) my current "in progress" game of Fallout 3? I have the GOY edition, but started the F3 game without downloading addons. Would suck to download only to find my original character lost. Thanks!

To solve the problem with death claws, I would increase your luck by a ton, get all perks with crit. chance, and then install the add-on that allows you to go through a simulation. After the simulation, you should get a gauss rifle. Every time you do a critical damage, it stuns the enemy. I use that gun often since I can snipe with it. To solve the problem of range, I wait til the death claws get fairly close (enough to do two shots at it before it reaches you) and use the VATS system to shoot. For me, the death claw becomes stunned at the second shot at the most, but I maxed on crit. chance as far as I can.
