Sequence 04, Memory 06: The Mentor's Wake

The last memory for this Sequence is back at the Assassin HQ (naturally, since it is a Key Memory), so head there and go inside, then use the book/marker on your desk for the CS.  You once again experience a memory that is embedded in the key -- this time we see the Mentor holding the Apple of Eden -- you see Altair's killing of the Mentor, who was corrupted by the Apple of Eden.    The CS continues as Altair prepares the Mentor for his funeral pyre -- to get 100% Synchronization on this mission you must not lose more than three synchronization points.

Ezio picks up the Mentor -- then you accept the mission -- and you are in control of him.  Carry the Mentor down the path to the gate and you get a CS with Abbas, who you must explain the reason for the killing to.  But the problem is that Abbas does not like you, so he is not inclined to accept your explanation.

Reliving the Memory of Altair and Killing the Mentor

When you place the Mentor's body on the pyre and set it alight he uses that as an excuse to turn against you, pushing you off of the cliff and down to the faction of Assassin's who are on his side.  You must not leave the area, and you must disarm 7 of the men -- and not kill any.  If you fail in a disarm that is one desynch -- fail more than three times to disarm and you blow the synchronization.

After you disarm the 7th Assassin you have to run up the hill to get the Apple of Eden from Abbas, who is in the tower.  The problem is it is issuing explosions that are killing him and knocking you on your ass if you are anywhere but on a solid footing.  This is a frustrating mission section to be sure, but you can do it!

When you get to the tower get onto the beam and then jump up from there, climb to the top and grab the Apple off of the floor.  Abbas asks you to forgive him... Maybe we will, and maybe not...  Ah, OK, we forgive him!

This ends the memory/mission and hopefully you got your 100% Synchronization form it.  When you return to the HQ out of hte memory you review in your mind the outcome in a brief CS, and that completes Sequence 4!
