Assassin Apprentice Memory 01 --The Avenger

You find the man laying injured in the graveyard, and when you talk to him he begs you for help in finding the man who did this to him and left him to die -- a man who it seems has also threatened to do the same to his family.  Obviously you need to help him -- so help him!

Head towards the marker on the map and you will find a search area -- turn on Eagle Vision and scan the people here and you will ID the target and their henchmen as well as the man's wife.  Assassinate the target and then take out the henchmen to complete this part of the mission at which point you will be told to return to the man to tell him what you have done.

Head back and give him the good news -- and invite him to join the Brotherhood -- and he will accept.  There you go mates!  You recruited another Assassin!

You may want to use the Herald that is on the way between where you fought and where the man is to remove the notoriety you picked up in the battle, I am just saying.

-- The Rest of Galata --

Now check the map for the next Recruit Marker, which is just to the north, and you will find a citizen being attacked by Guards.  Help him defeat them -- one of which you will need to kick in the tender bits a few times as he has a long weapon -- and then talk to him to recruit him.

Check the map -- your next marker is to the west on top of the wall -- head up and rescue him to recruit him next.

Look at the map for the next marker -- it is all the way to the west side of the map --  but check your notoriety level and if it is getting up there it would be an idea to find a Herald and get rid of it...

Recruiting your first Assassin Team

Now this one you are going to handle differently -- since we have some Assassin Recruits and they need to be put to work in order to gain XP, from here on out we will be using them to deal with the Guards we encounter.  So when you arrive above, call in your Apprentices to take out the Guards and then talk to the man to recruit him.

The next marker is to the east and a little south -- in fact we are simply going to do the next four in the logical line they present on the map.  Call in the attack and then talk to the woman to recruit her, then head to the next marker, rescue and recruit the man, then continue on.  Rescue the woman and talk to her to have her join, and then do the same for the last two and you have recruited all of the Apprentices from Galata.

Now in theory you could have just focused on the memory recruits -- there is one for each district of the city -- but this way we can get a really good jump on the Mediterranean Defense game because now we have 11 Recruits including our original.  Head to the nearby Den and use the book on the table to access their records, page through the messages, and then look at each one:

-- Augusto Fornari
-- Bastiano Pulci
-- Beatrice Simoni
-- Cahit oglu Yavuz
-- Cem Hayyam
-- Cemil Faysal
-- Dragos Ragar
-- Guido Tuccerini
-- Istvan Borzsak
-- Oleksandr Gnuzd
-- Rami kizi Tugba

Istvan will be the highest level of them all since he is who we have had the longest and used the most, and he will also be on that mission, though it should end soon.  What we want to do at this point is start using them and simply stay in the Galata District and start taking out patrols!

Before you do this though, access each of their records in the book and spend any Skill Points that they have earned on abilities -- this is important as it helps them rank up, and you want them to do that as quickly as you can get it done!  Remember to visit a Den every now and then to upgrade them, right?

After an hour or so you should have several of the Apprentices to Level 10 -- at which point you will want to send them off on missions so that you can take a new city and then dispatch them to lead the Den there.  That is why we are doing this after all...
