Nintendo's foray into sports titles continues with Super Mario Strikers, a new
soccer game that's unlike anything ever to hit the pitch. Whether players are
freezing their opponents with an ice-cold shell, unleashing a spiny shell on
their hapless opponents or making entire teams flee in terror with a roving
Chain Chomp, they're sure to see something new around every corner kick.
Super Mario Strikers features all the favorite characters from the Nintendo
universe, as well as four-person multiplayer action that will have players and
their friends cheering all night long. Get ready for the world cup of gaming.

Cube. This FAQ includes almost everything you need to know in order to be
the best at this game. From the basic info to the things that are not said in

These are the controls for Super Mario Strikers. They can also be found in your
instruction booklet. But if your to lazy to get it or just lost the booklet,
then look at this list. I have listed ALL the controls. Lead your favorte
team to the championship by mastering these controls.
*OFFENSIVE (WITH THE BALL) CONTROLS*

B Button ~ To shoot. Hold this button charge up your shot. To clear the ball,

There are 13 playable characters in total, in this game. It would have been
14 if bowser was a playable character. He's not! Each character is either in
one of the two catagories: Captain or a Sidekick. That doesn't make a big of
a difference, but there is something you can notice.

Breif Description: Mario, the main character in this game. Appearing in quite
a lot of sports game genres, it's soccers turn. This game has been a success.

Items are very helpful in the game and matches. If you use each one right, you
could sore or prevent some goals. Some items are more common to appear and
some other ones are more rare and harder to get. Here is a list of each item.

There are seven different stadiums available in this game. They are all fairly
the same, but with some slight differences and changes. Some fields work to
your advantage at times and sometimes they don't. Try to choose the field that
works best for your team. Here is a breif list of all the seven stadiums.

When you first start up the game, you'll find a simple menu screen with the
following options available. I will explain each one for you to know what
they do and where they lead you to. I will also list them in order. Not a big
menu though.

The first option in the menu, being the basic option of the game. In this
option, you have the option to select your own team, select the stadium
a sidekick, also pick your character and you'll begin play! This is a
good exhibition to practice, play around and to especially practice on
dificult mode. In other words, it's a 'Play Now' option.

In this Cup option, you have four different cups to play and complete.
These cups are ranked by points on a Table Rank, it ranks you by points.
The points givin; 3 for a win, 1 for a tied game with or without goals,
and 0 for losing a match.
The last cup, Bowser Cup, is only slightly different. The difference is
the ranking procces. It ranks you with a 'Playoff Ranked'. You have to
play a load of rounds, then the teams with the most rounds won head into
the Elimination Round. The winner of that round gets to face Bowser's
Super Team for the cup. Here is a chart of each cup with some info:

The Super Cup Matches are almost the same as a reagular cup match, but
the difficulty of it is much more harder. This option is not recommended
for beginners or rookies. Also, everytime you win a cup, you will unlock
a special cheat which can be accesed from the Otions menu selection. To
find out what the Unlockable cheats are, look at the 'Unlockables'
section, code (0900). Here is another chart of each cup:

The word custom explains most of this option, if it doesn't here is what
it means. You can now create or customize your own tournament and macthes.
All you have to do is select the type tournament, next is to decide how
many teams and how many times they each play each other. After that, you
must then select your character, following with the game setting. After
all this, you are now read to start off your tournament!

The purpose of this option is basically the point of a practice mode. You
get to kick the ball around, get the feel for the controls, or even do
some soccer drills to help your skill. this place is recommended for first
time users. To get started you must choose first your character and the
the field/stadium, then your good to go.

This option is really like a Hall Of Fame section, just called different.
This is the place where you can view all your trophies won, and a breif
summary of your attempts on the tournaments, including dates, scores and
a positions, and some extra things, too.

The last menu option is the options for your gameplay and settings. You
have the ability to set or adjust the visual and audio settings in the
game. You can use the default option if you want. Also, you can activate
your cheats unlocked by winning Super Cup matches, this are real helpful
so make sure you activate them!

| 08. Tactics & Tips (0800) |

These are some useful tactics and tips to help you win some games. I use some
a lot and they are very helpful and I hope you find them, too.
One-Touch Kicks
---------------
Press the A button to pass and then hit the B button just before the ball gets
to the player the ball is being passed to, you'll make a quick kick and a
chance for a goal.
Deke or Spin
------------
Use the Control stick or the Y button to crossover a player. You can also
crossover the goalie and shoot for the goal.
Turbo Run
---------
Press and hold the R button to sprint or turbo run to outrun a player to get to
the opponent's side of the field and get in front of the defenders. This
improves your chances of making a goal.
Fake Shots
----------
Hold the B button then press the A button while still holding it to perform
nasty little fake shot. This works more effectively on human opponents.
Curve, Lob Shots
-----------------
Hold the L button and press the B button to take a shot over a goalie. Better
to take from a distance, because the goalie will be away from his net to cut
down the angle. To do curve shots you have to press left or right when charging
with B, when it shoots, the wall will curve depending on the position the
stick was pressed. Even though like 10% of the time the ball might curve to the
opposite direction the stick is held. Curve shots never stun the goalie unless
you are very near to him. Really useful tactic.
Super Strikes
-------------
Press and hold the B button when your captain has the ball. Now press the B
button when the white bit enters the solid green. Another will appear, so do
the same. If you get them perfectly, you will perform a Monster strike.
Impossible to miss, for even if the goalie saves it, he will get blown into
the net! You get two points for a successful super strike goal. One of the best
offesive tactics!
Slide Tackles
-------------
Press the B button to perform a sliding tackle. If you hit from behind you will
be out of commission as well. Your safe bet is a slide tackle from the front.
A great defending tactic.
Clear the ball
--------------
Press the B button when the ball is in your zone to clear, use when there is
heavy pressure on in your zone. Better the ball out than a goal, huh?

Q: Is Bowser a playable character in this game?
A: Sadly, no. He is only appearing during matches that you are playing, to make
things harder and make some chaos.
Q: How do I prevent a slide tackle from being a foul?
A: The only thing to do is to slide tackle the foe from the front, not the
back. That is was causes the foul.
Q: What items are bigger in size?
A: Bomb-ombs, giant shells, bannanas, and blue freeze shells.
Q: How do you curve shot?
A: Hold down the B button as long as possible and then realease.
