Version History: V0001
--------------------------------------------------------------

                 Current Version = 2.66

(In order from 1st version to current)

V 0.1----11/08/05----Started writing the guide. (Version was REJECTED)

V 0.5----11/15/05----My first version was rejected. I now added "What you can do
with", "Why make this", "Plant Reappearance Times" and "What all the Wild Plants
look like" sections. (Version was REJECTED)

V 0.7----11/16/05----Last version rejected. I added a vocabulary note and
changed around my E-mail address to prevent spam. NEW SECTIONS: "What you can
contribute" and "Mushrooms". (Version was REJECTED)

V 1.0----01/03/06----I kind of gave up on getting this guide onto GameFAQs, but
after a vacation, I got some new ideas. I added an "In-Game Plant Descriptions"
section, a "Hybridization with Wild Plants" section, and a "Wild Plant Gift
Ideas" Section. I also updated the quick search system and added in a few more
notes. (Version was finally ACCEPTED!)

V 1.01----01/04/06----The guide has been accepted! Neoseeker is now allowed to
host my Guide. A few minor changes to the Legal Information Section.

V 1.1----01/13/06----Friday the 13th update! I added a little 'Wild Plants and
your Child' note in the "What you can do with the wild plants" section, added a
new credit, and changed a little info on my E-mail address. Oh, and put Bracken
into the Mushrooms section.

V 1.2----02/13/06----Monday the 13th update! I have now completely re-vamped the
Quick Search system. Added a "Possible Future Updates" section, changed a little
wording around here and there, added a "My Other Guides" section, and added a
"The End" section, to have a better conclusion to the guide. I hope to add a
'Cooking With Wild Plants' section soon, and I'm planning on making a separate
'Girl's Wild Plant Guide' for HM:AnWL.

V 1.3----02/14/06----There is now an all new "Cooking with Wild Plants" Section.
I changed around a few sentences, fixed a few typos, and added a new Credit. I
changed an old credit because I accidentally misspelled their name. I also
dedicated the guide to a good friend of mine, and added a tiny copyright line.

V 1.31----02/15/06----www.supercheats.com is now allowed to host my guide.

V 1.4----02/17/06----I just spell-checked the entire guide. I fixed all of the
typos and misspelled words. I also changed some wording and capitalized a few
things too.

V 1.5----02/25/06----New question in the FAQ section! I changed a few more words
around, and tried to make some things easier to read. I don't expect too many
more updates beyond this point, but I hope to release a HM:AnWL version of this
guide soon!

V 1.51----02/26/06----I have now tried to re-make my guide as much as possible
for the Girl's version of the game (HM:AnWL). I had to re-type some information,
add a few new things, and tweak old things. I'm still missing much of the new
Girl's Information. (Version was ACCEPTED!)

V 1.52----02/27/06----Tiny update. Changed dedication, changed a little credit,
replaced an old "Possible Future Update", and added a few more notes around
about the Boy's and Girl's version differences. Also, YAY! I got the guide
accepted on my first try.

V 1.6----03/12/06----I finally replaced the awful picture of a Royal Fern with
something new that I've been working on, and added a new credit. One entire
section was re-written with info from the girl's version of the game.

V 1.7----03/20/06----I've renamed the "Wild Plant Gift Ideas" section to "Wild
Plants as Gifts". I've also changed some of the wording, and I added Mukumuku to
the list. ENJOY!

V 1.8----04/09/06----Lots of help from contributors made this update possible.
Thank you Panzer for some missing info, thank you Katy8 for a new question in
the FAQ section, and thank you Adam Heslop for confirming a growth spot of
Bracken.

V 1.81----07/04/06----Fixed a somewhat large typo thanks to the contributor
"Great Wall". I'm also currently typing a HM:FoMT guide.

V 1.9----07/19/06----A few minor changes, a new plant regrowth location, a few
fixed typos and a few things added, and most of it is thanks to a contributor by
the name CC. They seemed to read everything very closely, and were able to
point out a bunch of stuff. Also, thanks to everyone who has read the guide and
contributed, it's all much appreciated!

V 1.91----07/25/06----Just finished an HM:FoMT Wild Plant Guide, so I adjusted a
few things in this guide accordingly.

V 2.0----02/25/07---- I got a whole bunch of random information from
contributors, so I had to add it in. A few minor changes to legal info, since
it's now the year 2007.

V 2.01----04/17/07----I've released a HM:mFoMT guide now, so a few things were
adjusted accordingly.

V 2.1----01/12/09----It has nearly been 2 years (635 days to be exact) since the
last update. I would have forgotten about these guides if it wasn't for the 30
or so e-mails I received in the time since the last update. I finally decided to
come back and update all of the information I've received. There are quite a few
new things! I would say I'm done with this guide, but knowing you guys, I'll get
some new stuff to update this guide with soon enough. I just looked through it
and saw lots of things that could use updating too. I might just come back one
day and rework this guide, AGAIN!

V 2.2----01/31/09----A big update! It's probably the biggest update since
version 1.1! I have added 3 whole new sections, "Vocabulary", "Flowers" and
"Other Wild Forage". I also completely revamped the "Wild Plants as Gifts"
section, as well as alphabetized large parts of this guide. I went through the
whole guide and rewrote numerous sections to be shorter or easier to understand.
I topped it all off with ANOTHER spell-checking of the guide.

V 2.3----02/21/09----This was originally going to be an update to fix a small
mistake, but I alphabetized a few more sections, reorganized the whole layout of
the guide, combined the old seasons and prices sections into a single section,
made the "Wild Plants and your Child" note into its own section, fixed up
various layouts, and updated the e-mail, legal information, what you can
contribute, version history, and possible future updates sections.

V 2.4----04/17/09----The cooking section is all new. On top of adapting lots of
information about crops and rare crops from Supermario1024's guide (as
ingredients for recipes), I completely changed the layout to make it much easier
to read and use the recipes.

V 2.45----08/10/09----A tiny update. I've changed the gift section a little,
changed regrowth to simply growth, updated the vocab section, and updated the
"My Other Guides" section because I miraculously wrote another guide. Also, a
Growth location of sorrel was confirmed.

v 2.5----09/08/09----The other day, I picked this game up again. I decided to
play through at least the whole first year and collect a bunch of data. I've
finally confirmed ALL of the plant growth times, and I've created some charts
to show you what you can find on each day of the year. I fixed a few growth
locations, and I've given the whole guide ANOTHER spell check.

v 2.51----01/14/10----2010 update! I updated the legal info section and made a
few minor changes to the layout of the guide. The FAQ section has a new look.

v 2.52----03/19/11----2011 update! It's been over a year since this was updated,
and I'm only changing the copyright to 2011 and adding a tiny note about how my
guides have collectively amassed over 100,000 views! Wow!

v 2.6----07/12/12----2012 update! I got an e-mail about a missing royal fern
location, so I've added that in. I've also removed the Art Gallery section, as I
decided it was a complete waste of space. I made changes to the vocabulary,
e-mail information, and legal information sections to shorten them. The guide is
in dire need of a complete rewrite though. One day, I may have to get on that.

v 2.61----07/14/12----Someone sent in the last missing growth location for Royal
Fern! It has now been added to the guide.

v 2.62----07/16/12----Another tiny fix. Added the missing growth location for
Hackberry.

v 2.65----08/23/12----Someone pointed out that I keep talking about the "water
tower" throughout my guide, when in fact it's actually Kassey and Patrick's
house. I've changed that. I also revamped the version history section, cutting
it down to take up less space and changing the way I numbered the versions.

                                (Current)
v 2.66----08/29/12----Finally confirmed that Bracken is in fact a mushroom.

Introduction I0002
----------------------------------

Hello. This is my 2nd try at creating a guide. It's about the Wild
Plants of Harvest Moon: AnWL. This guide was originally a Boys version guide,
but I changed it one around a little bit to work for the girls version. My
sister has the girl's version, so I'm getting most of my data from that. Please,
if there is anything different about the wild plants in the girls that isn't in
the boys, E-mail me. Also, please E-mail me with any spelling/grammar errors,
comments, or suggestions. Okay, enjoy the guide.

+Trumpet was accidentally misnamed Matsutake in this game

----------------------------------
Vocabulary V0003
----------------------------------

My guide uses a few abbreviations and some slang, so I've included this
short section to help clear up what those things mean.

:) = A smiley face
:D = A wide-mouthed smiley face
AWL = A Wonderful Life (the title of the boy's GC HM game)
AnWL = Another Wonderful Life (the title of the girl's GC HM game)
FAQ   = Frequently Asked Questions
FoMT = Friends of Mineral Town (the title of the boy's GBA HM game)
Gotta = Got to/Have to
GBA   = Game Boy Advance
GC    = GameCube
HM    = Harvest Moon
Hybridization = The act of crossing two species into a single hybrid
IMO   = In My Opinion
intro = Introduction (duh)
mFoMT = More Friends of Mineral Town (the title of the girl's GBA HM game)
Mt. Veg = Mountain Vegetable
ToT = Tree Of Tranquility (the title of the Harvest Moon game for the Wii)
W/ = With

If I've used any other unusual "vocabulary" in this guide that you
believe I should define, please send me an e-mail!

---------------------------------
Why Make This Guide W0004
----------------------------------

I made this guide because I thought it would be useful to all those new
players out there. I know that if I would have had a guide like this when I just
started, I might have benefited from it (i.e. I probably wouldn't have sold
every single plant I ever picked up). Anyway, I haven't seen many other guides
out there about this topic.

----------------------------------
What You Can Contribute H0005
----------------------------------

Please, contribute any information I need or don't have. Please send in
questions for the FAQ section, and if you find that anything in this guide is
misspelled, please tell me. I don't have much time anymore to play the game to
collect data, so please help me out with whatever you can. Also, comments are
much appreciated.

Check the section below, the Possible Future Updates section, for things
you can help me on. Currently, I need someone to help me out by finding these
things:

-Which wild plant recipes work as gifts for which villagers?

--------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------
Possible Future Updates F0006
----------------------------------

Well, this is the section where I list out some possible future updates
for the guide. I'll try to put them in, but I may never be able to put them all
in. I could use help with them, and if you have any suggestions for other
additions, please send them in.

Add: "Wild Plant Recipe Gifts" subsection

Add: Cooking Section, ordered by price

Add: Plant Regrowth times to locations section

Clean-up: The guide. Re-read all the sections, and rewrite some if necessary.

Complete: This guide (although 100% completion will never happen)

What You Can Do With Wild Plants W0008
___________________________________________________________

First of all, all the flowers that you pick can be used as gifts.
They're one of the easier-to-get gifts. Second, everything can be sold for a
small profit. Third, you can eat all the edible wild plants, although they don't
fill you up as much as normal food. Forth, 3 of the flowers can be hybridized
with your crops. Finally, a few of the wild plants can be used in some cooking
recipes. Also, you can put these plants into your dog's (or cat's) food bowl. I
do it all the time! Well, I think that's about everything you can do with the
wild plants.

Note: For those who were wondering, there are exactly 15 different wild
plants to pick. There are 8 different flowers, and 7 different edible plants.
There is also the Strange Mushroom you have to eat to enter the Harvest Sprites'
house, but that doesn't really count as a wild plant does it? You can't pick it
up and sell it or do anything with it (except for eating it).

___________________________________________________________

Wild Plants and Your Child W0009
___________________________________________________________

As your child grows up, you can influence them into choosing a
particular career. Your choices are:

-Artist
-Athlete
-Musician
-Rancher
-Scholar
************
-Farmer!
************

By showing your child your foraged Mushrooms, Wild Plants, and Flowers,
you can influence them into being a farmer. Showing them things like watering
cans, seeds, and hoes also encourages them to become a farmer. If they grow up
into a farmer, they will take over your farm when you die.

___________________________________________________________

The Most Useful Wild Plants (IMO) W0010
___________________________________________________________

==============================
The Top 5 Most Useful Plants:
==============================

1) Upseed

2) Gemsoil

3) Happy Lamp

4) Mugwort

5) Matsutake

Upseed, Gemsoil, and Happy Lamp are probably the most important because
they're the only wild plants that can be hybridized with your crops (not your
trees). If you hybrid your crop's seed with the Upseed, you will get an S rank
seed from that crop. The Gemsoil makes your plant be able to grow in ANY soil
fertility, and the Happy Lamp makes your seed grow in ANY possible season. You
can use all three on your seed, but that's not what this guide is about.

I think the Mugwort is also somewhat useful because it can be used in a
few recipes for cooking, and it can be eaten. If you want to know what the
recipes are then you should go check the cooking section in this guide.

Finally, I believe the Matsutake is also somewhat useful because it's
worth a lot (100 G, it's not that much, but it's worth the most compared to the
Upseed and Trumpet, tied for #2 with only a measly 25 G). I also think there are
a few recipes that call for a mushroom (and a Matsutake is a mushroom!)(By the
way, in this game they mislabeled the Trumpet as Matsutake as well. The trumpet
is orange, and the real Matsutake is a small brown shriveled mushroom).

+Trumpet, the orange mushroom, was accidentally mislabeled as Matsutake in this
game, so keep that in mind. I still call it Trumpet.

Wild Plants as Gifts G0011
___________________________________________________________

This section is all about using wild plants as gifts for townspeople.
People only seem to like flowers, not other edible forage like Mugwort. By the
way, don't use any of those special flowers like Gemsoil, Happy Lamp, or Upseed.
Save those for hybridizing your crops. Okay, here is the list of people that
like flowery-themed gifts! I split up the townspeople and the bachelors into
different sections.

People will accept up to 3 gifts a day!

Hybridization with Wild Plants W0012
______________________________________________________________

When I first heard that you could do hybridization with some of the wild
plants, I was thinking about all the "Royal Mugworts" and "BrackenBerries" I was
going to make. I was disappointed when I found out what you could actually do.

The truth is that you can only use 3 different flowers with hybridizing,
and all they do is upgrade your crops. They don't actually make "Upseed Drops"
and "Trick Amorous'". Go into Takakura's house and talk to Tartan for the
hybridizing (If you don't know about Tartan or how to get him, please refer to
another guide on how to get him).

------------------------------------------------------
The 3 different flowers that you can use are:
------------------------------------------------------

-Gemsoil

-Happy Lamp

-Upseed.

If you hybrid your crop with a Gemsoil, a seed will come out that will
be able to grow in any soil fertility.

If you hybrid your crop with a Happy Lamp, a seed will come out that
will be able to grow in any season (This is pretty cool!).

If you hybrid your crop with an Upseed, an 'S' (Superior) quality seed
will come out (This is my favorite one!).

Well, okay. This is the first Harvest Moon game to feature
hybridization, by the way. I guess it's kind of cool that you can upgrade your
seeds like that. Okay. That's all I have to say on hybridization.

Wild Plant Seasons And Prices W0013
____________________________________________________________

Spring, Summer, and Winter each have 2 flowers and 1 Edible Plant
growing during its season. Fall has 2 flowers and 4 Edible Plants (all 4 are
mushrooms).

Wild plants can only be sold to Van. You cannot haggle any of the
prices.

Plant Growth Times G0014
___________________________________________________________

All of the wild plants grow back. It seems a little random, but I think
that they take a certain amount of days to grow back. I have double-checked all
of this information, and I'm 100% sure it is all accurate.

Note: The day typed is the day that the plant grows back on. If it says
it grows back in 1 day, that means it grows everyday. If it says 5 days, it
means that the flower will grow ON that 5th day.

-------------------------------
Plant Days
-------------------------------

Amorous: 2 days

Bracken: 2 days

Gemsoil: 4 days

Goddess drop: 2 days

Hackberry: 1 day

Happy Lamp: 4 days

Matsutake: 3 days

Mist Moon: 2 days

Mugwort: 1 day

Royal Fern: 1 day

Sorrel: 3 days

Toy Flower: 2 days

Trick Blue: 2 days

Trumpet: 2 days

Upseed: 2 days

I collected the data for each season, and it looks like this is what you
should expect on the every day of each season. If anyone wants to double check
this, please feel free to. Fall is the only one with unexpected results. Does
anybody else get these same results?

An "*" means there are weird inconsistencies in the growth data. There are only
three of these, and all occur in the season of Fall.

don't suggest selling everything, especially the hybridable plants, as well as
any that you might be using as food or as gifts.

That's right. Selling 1 year's worth of wild plants can make you almost
12,000 G! That's a decent sum of money, especially in your first years. I don't
suggest selling EVERYTHING though, but it's ultimately up to you what you do
with all of that wild forage.

Wild Plant Locations L0015
______________________________________________________________

Please remember that the plants don't grow back the next day. Some
might, but if you don't see the plant there one day, try going back there
another day. Check my wild plant growth section for more info.

***If anyone sees any locations for the growth of the plants that I
missed (or that my imagination created and that don't actually exist), please
send me an E-mail about it.***

Edible Plant Locations:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Mugwort:

-Behind not-very-fertile soil patch next to your house.
-In between fertile soil patch and the small (never used) house.
-By the side of the hill, behind Cody's house.
-By Kassey and Patrick's house.
-On the left side of the courtyard of the villa where Romana lives (when coming
up to the house).
-Next to Vesta's farm, nearby to the GBA connection path (The one you use if
you want to connect to your mFoMT).
-One on your left at the start of the road leading up to Carter's dig site.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Royal Fern:

-In between fertile soil patch and the small (never used) house.
-Next to the Very Fertile Field.
-By the hillside, near Cody's trailer
-By Kassey and Patrick's house (the water tower), next to the hillside.
-On the left side of the courtyard of the villa where Romana lives (when coming
up to the house).
-Next to Vesta's farm, nearby to the GBA connection path (The one you use if you
want to connect to your FoMT).
-One on your left at the start of the road leading up to Carter's dig site.
-One is by the Mist Moons by the Harvest Sprites' house
--------------------------------------------------------------
Sorrel:

-Around the small (never used) house.
-Next to the Very Fertile Field.
-By the side of the hill, behind Cody's house.
-Near Kassey and Patrick's house (the water tower).
-On the right side of the courtyard of the villa where Romana lives (when coming
up to the house).
-Next to Vesta's farm, on the left side of the GBA connection path (The one you
use if you want to connect to your mFoMT).
-One on your right at the start of the road leading up to Carter's dig site.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Mushroom Locations:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Bracken:

-Nearby the chicken coop.
-Next to your very fertile field.
-Near the tree to the left of the Sprites' house.
-Near Kassey and Patrick's House (the water tower).
-In the upper right corner of Romana's property.
-Next to Vesta's farm, to the left of the GBA connection path (The one you use
if you want to connect to your mFoMT).
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hackberry:

-In between the chicken coop and the fertile field.
-To the right of your very fertile field.
-To the far right of your very fertile field, near the tree in the corner of
your farm.
-Next to a tree, on the right of the Harvest Sprites' house.
-Next to the little tool shed in the left corner of Romana's property.
-2 by the side of the hill, next to Cody's house.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Matsutake:

-2 grow right behind Vesta's farm, against the hillside.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Trumpet: (mislabeled as Matustake by accident in HM:AnWL)

-2 of them grow next to the Harvest Sprites' house.
-One grows by Kassey and Patrick's house (the water tower).
-------------------------------------------------------------

I know that it isn't really an Edible Plant, but you can eat it.
Apparently, it makes you shrink so you can squeeze into the Harvest Sprites'
House. There are 2 of these Strange Mushrooms, and they grow back everyday. If
you use them both up in one day, you can't go into the Harvest Sprites' house
for the rest of the day. It doesn't really matter because after you've been in
there once, there's really no reason to go again.

*************************************************************
Strange Mushroom:

-One grows on the left side of the Sprites' house.
-Another grows on the right side of the Sprites' house.
*************************************************************
-------------------------------------------------------------

Flower Locations:

-------------------------------------------------------------
Amorous:

-All around Turtle Swamp.
-In front of the log, between Cody's trailer and Turtle Swamp.
-Between Cody's trailer and the hillside.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gemsoil:

-The only plant that grows around Carter's dig site. It grows close to the
river, and its yellowish color makes it hard to notice in the grass. There is
also one right in between Carter's tent and a plank of wood that sometimes gets
skipped over. Sometimes, some will grow in the bushes, a little further away
from the river and up closer to the digging area, but I know you won't miss it
(now that I've told you anyway).
-----------------------------------------------------------
Goddess Drop:

-Many grow next to the river, up where the crystal flowers are.
-Right behind Vesta's farm around the windmill things.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Happy Lamp:
(looks like a red tulip)

-On the big grassy patch of land near the mouth of the river (On the side
without the GBA connection path. Also, there is a little forest by the river,
and you can't enter it because it's too dense, but sometimes you'll see a Happy
Lamp growing in the forest, just out of your reach.)
-By the side of the hill, next to Cody's house (or trailer).
-----------------------------------------------------------
Mist Moon:
(Don't confuse with Toy Flower. Toy flower has 5 petals, and Mist Moon has 4)

-Grows around the Sprites' Pond.
-Grows in front of Galen's house (In chapter 2 and up. Before chapter 2, it's
just a big empty space of grassy land below Vesta's farm).
------------------------------------------------------------
Toy Flower:
(Don't confuse with Mist Moon. Toy flower has 5 petals, and Mist Moon has 4)

-Grows around the Sprites' Pond.
-Grows in front of Galen's house (In chapter 2 and up. Before chapter 2, it's
just a big empty space of grassy land below Vesta's farm).
------------------------------------------------------------
Trick Blue:

-All around Turtle Swamp.
-In front of the log, between Cody's trailer and Turtle Swamp.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Upseed:

-By the side of the hill, next to Cody's house (or trailer).
-On your left at the start of the road leading up to Carter's dig site.

Other Wild Forage F0016
___________________________________________________________

Since I have a mushrooms section, I decided to make an "Other Wild
Forage" section. This is all of the other wild stuff, not including Mushrooms or
Flowers. There are only 3.

+------------------+--------------------+
| Wild Forage: | Price: |
+------------------+--------------------+
| | |
|1: Mugwort | 15G |
|2: Royal Fern | 15G |
|3: Sorrel | 20G |
+------------------+--------------------+

Yup, that's all. Mugworts can be used in a few recipes. The only other
use for these plants is as food, dog food, or a source of income (although they
aren't worth very much).

___________________________________________________________

Mushrooms M0017
___________________________________________________________

There are some cooking recipes in the game that call for a mushroom.
Currently, I know about four mushrooms that you can use (and I think that's all
that there are). The strange mushroom doesn't really count.

+------------------+--------------------+
| Mushrooms: | Price: |
+------------------+--------------------+
| | |
|1: Bracken | 15G |
|2: Hackberry | 20G |
|3: Matsutake | 100G |
|4: Trumpet* | 25G |
+------------------+--------------------+

*Trumpet is mislabeled as Matsutake in HM:AnWL. A Trumpet has an orange cap,
and a Matsutake is brown and shriveled.

These are the four mushrooms you have to choose from if you want to make
a recipe with a mushroom needed in it. The next section talks about all of the
Wild Plant recipes that I have been able to collect. If you want to make some of
the recipes, GOOD LUCK!

-------------------------------------------
The Strange Mushroom
-------------------------------------------

This game has a 5th mushroom, but there isn't much you can do with it.
Two of these "strange mushrooms" grow in front of the Harvest Sprites' house,
and they grow back every day. The only thing you can do with them is eat them.
They supposedly "shrink" you and allow you to enter the Harvest Sprites' house.
Alice in Wonderland reference?

___________________________________________________________

Flowers F0018
___________________________________________________________

Since I have a mushrooms and other wild forage section, I decided to
also write a short "Flowers" section. I know, very useful, right? There are 8
flowers in all.

+------------------+--------------------+
| Flowers: | Price: |
+------------------+--------------------+
| | |
|1: Amorous | 10G |
|2: Gemsoil | 20G |
|3: Goddess Drop | 15G |
|4: Happy Lamp | 15G |
|5: Mist Moon | 10G |
|6: Toy Flower | 10G |
|7: Trick Blue | 10G |
|8: Upseed | 25G |
+------------------+--------------------+

Remember that Gemsoils, Happy Lamps, and Upseeds should be saved for
hybridization only. You might as well save the rest of the flowers for gifts.
They aren't worth too much...

Cooking with Wild Plants C0019
___________________________________________________________

Here I have gathered together all of the recipes I know (and I adapted a
bunch from StardustAndSun's Recipes/Hybridization guides, as well as lots of
other information on crops and rare crops) that involve using Wild Plants. When
there is more than 1 ingredient in a section, it means that you can chose which
ingredient to use. I myself am not a very good cook in the Harvest Moon world
(or the real world for that matter...)

*A lot of this information comes straight from StardustAndSun's Recipe
guide and Hybrid guide, I only put it here for time-saving purposes. Thank you
for assembling all of this, StardustAndSun!*

What do they look like? W0021
___________________________________________________________

This section is about what all the Wild Plants look like, so you would
know what you're picking. If you have your own opinion about how a plant looks,
and you think it describes the plant more accurately than my description, feel
free to send me an E-mail about it.

Edible Plants:

----------------------------------------
Mugwort: Looks like a big 3-leaved clover. Dark green.
----------------------------------------
Royal Fern: Light green. Looks like a smaller, thinner version of the Mugwort.
----------------------------------------
Sorrel: Dark Green. Almost like a big flower that grows out of the ground, and
is entirely green. It's just a green sphere with green leaves growing out from
the side.
----------------------------------------

Mushrooms:

----------------------------------------
Bracken: Looks like a dead root of a tree coming up from the ground. It's brown.
----------------------------------------
Hackberry: I would like to know how it got "Berry" into its name. It looks more
like a bucket that's full to the brim with mud, or someone threw up into it.
(I'm serious. HACK-berry) It's actually a mushroom.
----------------------------------------
Matsutake: (mislabeled as Matustake by accident in HM:AnWL)
A tallish shriveled mushroom. It has a fat stem, and a small round dark brown
cap.
----------------------------------------
Strange Mushroom: It looks like a Trumpet, but it has a red cap.
----------------------------------------
Trumpet: A fat, round mushroom that's low to the ground. Its stem is whitish,
and the cap is orange.
----------------------------------------

Flowers:

----------------------------------------
Amorous: A green stem. Has two flower buds, and both of them are a light yellow.
----------------------------------------
Gemsoil: This one is hard to describe. It's a weird greenish yellowish plant
with a zigzagged stem and two leaves.
----------------------------------------
Goddess Drop: An all yellow plant with a stem, and 2 multi-petaled yellow
flowers on it.
----------------------------------------
Happy Lamp: Looks just like a red tulip, except maybe a tad smaller.
----------------------------------------
Mist Moon: Looks a lot like Toy Flower. Mist Moon has a green stem, and a yellow
flower. There are only 4 petals, and they have a slightly odd shape to them.
----------------------------------------
Toy Flower: A normal looking flower. Green stem, yellow flower with 5 petals.
Often confused with Mist Moon.
----------------------------------------
Trick Blue: An odd two headed flower. One flower is orange-reddish, and on the
other side, the flower is blue.
----------------------------------------
Upseed: It's a normal flower except for the petals. It has red AND yellow ones.
5 red petals and 5 yellow petals.
----------------------------------------

Plant Collecting Routes R0022
___________________________________________________________

***********************************************************
This section is all my opinion. It's just a POSSIBLE route you can take every
day to collect those wild plants. Please, if you find any errors or mistakes, or
even plants I left out along the way, please send me an e-mail about it.
***********************************************************

I'm one of those kind of people who wake up 1AM every day in Harvest
Moon and run around (on my horse, because it's faster) collecting all the wild
plants. I like to get the most I can from nature itself (only in the game
though). This section is for those who too like to collect all the wild plants
around them every day. Now, make sure you know that you won't be able to find
these plants in that spot every day.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Spring: (make sure to keep an eye out for any plants along the way)

Exit the house and turn around and go behind it for a Mugwort. Keep going until
you reach the small un-used building, and then take a turn to the right. Exit
out of the farm and go up to the Sprites' Area. By the river, you may spot some
Goddess Drops. Around the pond, you might see some Toy Flowers. Collect
everything and run to Cody's trailer. Right next to the hillside there, a
Mugwort sprouts every few days. Right above that, by Kassey and Patrick's house,
you should find another Mugwort. Then run up to Romana's house. When you enter
the yard, turn left and you might find a Mugwort there. Run back down and cross
the bridge. Run down to Galen's house (or in Chapter 1, the big patch of empty
land), where you might find some Toy Flowers. Pick them and run up to the GBA
connection path. Nearby it, there might be a Mugwort, and sometimes, growing all
around Vesta's windmills, you'll find a patch of Goddess Drops. Finally, run up
to the pathway leading to Carter's dig site. Somewhere on the left side, next to
the river, you should find a Mugwort. After this, go do whatever you please.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Summer: (make sure to keep an eye out for any plants along the way)

Exit the house and turn around and go behind it. Keep going until you reach the
small un-used building, and then take a turn to the right (somewhere near the
average fertile field, you'll find a Royal Fern). Exit out of the farm and go up
to the Sprites' Area. Around the pond, you might see some Mist Moons. Run
straight out of the place and down to the river, close to Gustafa's place. There
might be a bunch of Happy Lamps in this area. Collect all of them and run to
Cody's trailer. Right next to the hillside there, a Royal Fern sprouts every few
days, and you'll find a single Happy Lamp here every once in a while. Then,
after you've collected them, run up to Romana's house. When you enter the yard,
turn left and you might find a Royal Fern growing there, nearby where the
Mugwort usually grows. Run back down and cross the bridge. Run down to Galen's
house (or in Chapter 1, the big patch of empty land), where you might find some
Mist Moons. Pick them and run up to the GBA connection path. Nearby it, there
might be a Royal Fern. Finally, run up to the pathway leading to Carter's dig
site. Somewhere on the left side, next to the river, you should find a Royal
Fern. After this, go do whatever you want to do.
----------------------------------------------------------

Fall: (Make sure to keep an eye out for any plants along the way. During Fall,
you'll find many Hackberries growing along my designated pathway.)

Exit the house and turn around and go behind it. Keep going until you reach the
small un-used building, and then take a turn to the right (somewhere near the
average fertile field, you'll find a Hackberry). Exit out of the farm and go up
to the Sprites' Area (you should find another 2 Hackberries before you leave the
farm). On the right side of the Sprites' house, you'll find a Hackberry. On the
left side you should find 2 Trumpets and a Bracken. Go to Turtle Swamp and you
might find Trick Blues growing around it. There's a log near the lower part of
the swamp, and Trick Blues grow in front of that too sometimes. Right next to
the hillside by Cody's trailer, a Hackberry sprouts. Then, after you've
collected it, run up to the water tower (aka Kassey and Patrick's house). Here
you can find Bracken and a Trumpet. Run up to Romana's. You can find a Hackberry
up in the upper left corner, and a Bracken in the upper right corner. Run back
down and cross the bridge. Up behind Vesta's farm, against the hillside, you can
find 2 Matsutakes. Finally, run up to the pathway leading to Carter's dig site.
This is where all the Gemsoils grow. Collect them. After this, go do whatever
you want to do.
----------------------------------------------------------
Winter: (make sure to keep an eye out for any plants along the way)

Exit the house and run over to the small un-used building. There should be a
Sorrel hidden around there. You'll find another Sorrel near the very fertile
field. Next, run straight to Turtle Swamp. Amorous flowers grow around it.
Collect them and go down to the log, where you might find even more Amorous
growing. Now run over to the other side of Cody's trailer, and if you're feeling
really lucky, ANOTHER patch of Amorous might be there. By the hillside, you
might find an Upseed and/or a Sorrel. Run up to the water tower (aka Kassey and
Patrick's house) and keep an eye out for a Sorrel growing there. Run up to
Romana's and take a right when you enter her garden. A sorrel might be waiting
for you around the corner. The last plant I think you might find is an Upseed
growing next to the river on the way up to Carter's dig site.

FAQ Section F0023
____________________________________________________________

This is the FAQ section where I answer some of the most commonly asked
questions! Have a question? Send it in!

Q= Question
A= Answer

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anticipated FAQs!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

===========================================================
Q: How many wild plants are there all together?

A: For those of you who didn't see my note at the bottom of the What
You Can Do with Wild Plants section and don't feel like counting them up, the
answer is 15. 8 flowers and 7 edible plants. This isn't counting in the strange
mushroom growing in front of the Harvest Sprites' house (or tree, depending on
what you want to call it).

===========================================================
Q: When hybridizing the Upseed, Gemsoil, or Happy Lamp with one of my
seeds, do I put the flower first or the seed first?

A: I don't think it really matters what order you put them in.

===========================================================
Q: Will my name be put in the credits if you put my question into this
guide?

A: Yes, if you send me your name. Many people forget that step.

===========================================================
Q: In your guide, you have a section titled "In-Game Plant Descriptions"
and another titled "What do they look like?". What's the difference?

A: The first section has the descriptions of wild plants that the game
itself has, and the other one is MY description of what the wild plants look
like. It's a little confusing, sorry.

===========================================================
Q: Do you gain any wild plant things from connecting to the GBA game?

A: Not that I know of, though the GBA game does get something out of it,
wild-plant wise. You get Van! Check my mFoMT Wild Plant Guide for more
information.

===========================================================
Q: What is a Trumpet? There is no Trumpet in this game.

A: A Trumpet is a mushroom that was mislabeled as Matsutake in HM:AnWL.
The Trumpet is orange, while the real Matsutake is small, brown, and appears to
be shriveled.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Questions from public (feel free to send one in)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These are the questions and comments that others have sent in about my
guide and wild plants. As you can see, there is only one. Would you care to fix
that problem?

===========================================================
(Comment sent from Katy8)
(copied directly from E-mail)

Q(?): The sayings for wild flowers are NOT really true for example: for
Gemsoil The Stem helps grow healthy fruits, I tried sticking it in the ground
but nothing happened :(

A: The fact is that sticking the Gemsoil in the ground won't help, one
has to hybrid the Gemsoil with a different crop to make it work. I hope that
helps!
