How do you get a chao to stop form dying....

You can't. (sorry.) BUT if you treat your chaos with care, (don't ignore them alot) then they will live!!! ^_^
Wrong if you treat your chao well they will die but when they enter coccon the coccon will turn pink and insted of a chao you will have an egg.
Well, keep entering the garden until the dying chao spawns in the water. Then, gather fruit and pick the chao up. Be sure it does not leave the water until you pick it up. Feed it the fruit you gathered, pet it, and hold it. To test whether it will survive or not, put it down and then quickly pick it back up. If it has a smile on it's face, it will likely survive. Make sure it does not sit down unoccupied during this process for too long, or it will die.
