The door that leads to the quarantine, also known as Thardus's chamber, is a little tricky to open. It requires you to utilize the two upgrades you got in the space pirate research facility, along with the wave beam. What you have to do is A) Shoot a super missile at the coridite section of the statues that hovers over the door. You can find this section by looking around with your scan visor. After that, B) you have to use your thermal visor to find a powerless conduit behind where the cordite casing used to be. To give the conduit power, and thus the door, you must fire a wave beam shot at it to restore the power. After the conduit has power, the door will power up and you will be able to enter the quarantine. Be prepared though, Thardus can be a tough fight. First time I faced him, I had a lot of trouble. I recommend stocking up on missiles and health before facing him. Especially missiles, super missiles can do a lot of damage to him. Hope this helped!
