First you need to be in adventure mode. Pura is unlocked by 50 boosts with team bandicoot and fake crash by 50 boosts with team cortex. I found it easy to do it on the boss race against Nash (boss of Barin)(world 2) because of the turns and boost areas. Scince his attacks only attack from behind once you get in front of him you can boost without his attacks bothering you. Just note that you have to know how to do the power slide boost to accomplish this.
