I tried hooking up the GameBoy Advance Cable to GameCube, but no boat appeared. Is it a game glitch or what? I just bought the cable new, and the game was purchased new. Does it matter whether the Animal Crossing memory card is in Slot A?

Did you turn your gameboy on?
And did you leave the acre then come back to see if the boat had appeared?
You don't need a memory card for the boat to appear.
