 2. Introduction                                                        {INTR}
*******************************************************************************

In the world of Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, a young boy/girl begins his
journey as an apprentice Craftknight, a profession highly regarded in Wystern,
his hometown. Craftknights not only must be able to create the highest quality
weapons, but must also possess unequaled fighting skills. Each Craftknight
also obtains a Guardian Beast, a companion that helps in forging weapons and
fighting monsters.

Your father, Shintetsu, the greatest Craftknight of them all, and the Craftlord
of Iron, passed away 3 years ago...and now, to fill the vacant spot of
Craftlord, a tournament has begun.

What begins as a quest to become like your father turns, inevitably and in
true RPG fashion, into a quest to save your best friend, your hometown, and
ultimately the entire world.

 3. Field Controls                                                      {FCON}
*******************************************************************************

When in the main areas of the game, and while trudging through dungeons, these
controls apply:

 Directional : Move around.
 A Button : Swing hammer (only after getting hammer). Activate save points.
 B Button : Hold to run.
 START : Brings up the menu.
 SELECT : Chats with your Guardian Beast (only after getting one).
 L+R Buttons : No use.

Note that after you get the Water Scooter, you may enter and exit the various
waterways using the stairs that lead into and out of the water.

*******************************************************************************
 4. Battle Controls                                                     {BCON}
*******************************************************************************

When you encounter an enemy, the battle screen appears. Combat is done in a
sidescroller fashion.

 Left/Right : Move left/right.
 Up         : Jump
 Down       : No use.
 A Button : Attack with your weapon.
 B Button : Use support ability.
 START      : Pause the battle.
 SELECT     : No use.
 L Button : Cycle through weapons.
 R Button : Cycle through support abilities.

There are also a couple of modified movements:

 - If you tap and hold a direction, you'll dash in that direction. You'll move
   much faster, though unless you have slip-resistant shoes, you'll slide a bit
   when you stop. Keep that in mind when approaching enemies, or you might
   slide right past them.

 - If you double tap down, you'll do a small hop backwards (away from the
   direction you are facing). Great for dodging enemy blows.

Each weapon has 2 attacks. A normal attack using the A Button, and a secondary
attack using the Down-A button combination. Some weapons also have a charge up
ability, activated by holding down A button, and releasing after being
charged. Furthermore, some weapons have a different attack when you swing them
while jumping.

I have gotten reports that there are other moves you can do with different
weapons, and I am eagerly awaiting confirmation on those matters. If you have
any info, please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Hammer  - A Button : Swing hammer.
          Down - A : Delayed hammer swing.
          Hold - A : No charge up.
          Jump - A : Swing hammer.

Sword - A Button : Swing sword. Up to a 3 swing combo.
          Down - A : Delayed, jab sword. Up to a 3 swing combo.
          Hold - A : No charge up.
          Jump - A : Swing sword.

Axe     - A Button : Swing Axe.
          Down - A : Delayed swing.
          Hold - A : Charge Axe. Powerful swing when released.
          Jump - A : Swing axe.

Spear   - A Button : Jab spear.
          Down - A : Jab upwards diagonally. Good against flying enemies.
          Hold - A : Charge spear. Launches a long ranged beam when released.
          Jump - A : Spin spear. Hits twice for reduced damage.

Knuckle - A Button : Punch. Up to 5 hit combo.
          Down - A : Uppercut! Can stun some enemies. Can be very cheap.
          Hold - A : No charge up.
          Jump - A : Punch with knuckles.

Drill - A Button : Jab drill. Up to 2 quick hits.
          Down - A : Delayed drill jab. Hits all in range up to 5 times
          Hold - A : Charge drill. The longer the charge, the farther you go.
          Jump - A : Jab with drill.

 5. Crafting/Smithing/Forging                                           {CRAF}
*******************************************************************************

Call it what you like, this section is the core of Summon Night. Throughout
the game, you will find items from barrels, boxes, treasure chests, and
enemies. In the game ALL items can be smelted into materials.

When you are in front of a forge, pressing A will bring up the menu:

      Create Materials
      Create Weapons

They are self explanatory. Choosing "Create Materials" will go into a submenu
with the choices:

      Items
      Weapons

You can either smelt items into crafting materials, or previously made
weapons. NOTE: You will not get back all the materials used to make the weapon
when you smelt it. However, you WILL get back all the mystic stones used to
make the weapon.

If you chose "Create Weapons" previously, you will be able to choose between
the 5 types of weapons which you have techniques for.

You will notice that there are 5 symbols with numbers next to them. There are
4 main materials used in crafting weapons:

      Element      Symbol
      -------------------------------
      Lightning    Yellow Thunderbolt
      Fire         Red Flame
      Water        Blue Waterdrop
      Wind         Green Spiral

There is also a gray diamond symbol, which is the "mystic stones", which are
only used for imbueing weapons with elemental powers. Mystic stones are only
dropped by monsters with a name like "______ Sword/Axe/Lance". For example,
the first monster that drops mystic stones is the "Spell Sword." Some even
drop 2 mystic stones, like the "Killer Sword", etc.

All weapons are able to be imbued with elemental powers, except for the
techniques gained by breaking a boss's weapon (eg. Chaves' Sword). To do so,
simply have the required number of mystic stones to imbue the weapon, then
just forge the weapon. The first time you do this, a choice that says "Use
Mystic Stone?" should pop up. If you choose yes, you will gain a new
technique, which you use from now on to forge the imbued weapon.

Furthermore, depending on the Guardian Beast that you choose, you will only be
able to imbue certain types of weapons. All Guardian Beasts can imbue swords
with elemental powers.

      Kutty  - Axes and Knuckles
      Rasho  - Axes and Drills
      Sugar  - Spears and Knuckles
      Zantek - Spears and Drills

Each weapon has 5 stats.

      ATK - Base power for the weapon. Affects how much damage it does.
      DEF - Defense for the weapon. Affects how vulnerable it is to durability
            loss, as well as how effective blocking is.
      AGL - How fast the weapon is. The higher the agility, the faster you
            move and the higher you jump.
      DUR - How durable the weapon is. How much you can use it before it
            breaks.
      TEC - Your proficiency with a weapon. The more you use a weapon, the
            more damage it does, the faster it attacks, etc. TEC has a cap
            which is different for each weapon. All TEC for new techniques
            starts at 0. TEC is preserved for each technique even if you break
            the weapon, forge a new one, etc.

 6. Walkthrough                                                         {WALK}
*******************************************************************************

A note before we begin. Summon Night: Swordcraft Story has numerous mini
Sidequests that result in an elemental technique of a type your Guardian Beast
cannot forge. However, there are so many, and yet they are unnecessary (the
Guardian Beast Kuhyra which you get later can forge all elements), that I
cannot find them all and include them.

However, there are a few that are parts of larger sidequests that result in
techniques you cannot get anywhere else. These are part of the walkthrough,
and I suggest you do them, though some require more work. These sidequests
will be marked with a

===>

so you can easily see them, as they have to be done at specific times during
the game, and can be easily missed.

The nonimportant sidequests (that nonetheless get you some good loot sometimes)
will be marked with a

--->

Do them if you want, they only help you :P

 Commencement Ceremony                                                  [COMM]

 Key Items: Entrance Ticket, Father's Charm, Water Scooter, Summonite
 Bosses: None
 Sword Techniques: None
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Go to your closet (upper right corner) to pick up your Entrance Ticket.

Go downstairs to talk to your mother (Amariss).

During the dialog, you will be able to name your character.

You will also be introduced to the dialogue choices, where two or more choices
will be presented to you. It usually does not matter which you choose, though
story events will be told by different people depending on your choice.

After the dialogue, get your water scooter in the lower right corner of the
room and head out the door.

Head left and across a bridge (or use your water scooter to be cool) and head
all the way north into the Central Tower. Along the way, if you took the land
route, you will pass a domed building with a hammer sign. That is the Silver
Guild, where you will be spending a lot of time forging weapons.

You will meet your master (Bron), and dialogue will occur. Afterwards, head
north into Central Tower.

Inside you will notice a glowing sword stuck in a pedestal. That is a save
point, and these appear in many places. Use them to save your game.

Head left, and up the blue stairs. Head left again, and into the north door.
You will be asked for your ticket, which you should have picked up earlier.

Talk to everyone around you (up, right, down, left) in whatever order, and the
ceremony will begin.

After the long dialogue, go east, down the stairs, and east and exit the
Central Tower. Go south a ways, and then east across the bridge, and enter the
Silver Guild.

Go left and through the corridor to meet with Bron again. Follow Bron right to
his room. Speak with him, and you will answer a few questions and receive your
Guardian Beast.

Kutty  : 1 2 2 - Flying dog with big ears.
Rasho  : 2 1 1 - Demonesque with a big horn.
Sugar  : 1 2 1 - Horny fairy with skimpy clothing.
Zantek : 1 1 1 - Weird blue flying robot.

You will then get to name your Guardian Beast. Any when not in battle, you can
talk with your Guardian Beast with SELECT.

Afterwards, go south, then left and up the stairs. Go north and talk to Bron
to be shown your workshop.

Your workshop has 3 points of interest.

To the left is your bed, where you can sleep to recover HP/MP. Go ON the bed
and
press A to use it.

To the lower right is a save point.

To the north is your forge, where you can create materials and weapons.

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
 Tournament Match 1                                                     [TMT1]

 Key Items: Labyrinth Key 1, Hammer
 Bosses: Chaves
 Sword Techniques: 1 - Novice Dagger, 3 - Chaves' Sword*
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

When you are finally back in your workshop, go towards the exit, and Bron will
enter. You will receive your first sword technique. NOTE: sword techniques are
different from the other kinds of techniques. You only receive sword
techniques after certain story events. The other techniques are obtained by
talking to Bron. You may only have one new technique at a time, so finish it
before talking to Bron.

Afterwards, exit your room and the Silver Guild, and head west across two
bridges. The first building you see should have a purple sign with two bags on
it, enter it. Speak to the man at the counter to find out that they are sold
out of Iron Ore.

After being turned down by the red haired girl, go back to the Silver Guild
and talk to Bron. He tells you that her name is Sanary, and sends you to the
labyrinth with just your hammer after spouting some BS about forging a
man/woman...

So, oblige him and go back to the Central Tower. After entering, go north into
the door, then left/north and speak to the guard. Enter the labyrinth.

You will spot a glowing green pad to the right, ignore it for now. Go south
across the bridge, and you will meet Sanary again. It doesn't matter how you
answer the questions, she will not give you any ore. However, if you chose the
female character, and answer that females are the best/coolest/etc, and then
tell her that you will win the tournament, she will give you a Matchbox! (its
choices 2 2 1)
...which smelts for mediocre materials.

A note on the labyrinth:

You will find treasure chests, boxes, and barrels. Hit them with your hammer
to open them (press A). Whenever you reenter the Labyrinth, all the boxes and
barrels will be reset. However, the chests will remain opened. Chests always
have a specific item, but boxes and barrels may or may not contain a random
item.

Also, you will find hidden doors along the walls. They are always to the
north, and seem like an indentation in the normal texture of the wall. They
will open if you press against them like a normal door.

Since I can't draw worth crap and have no idea how to do ASCII art, you'll
have to navigate the Labyrinth by yourself. But don't let that daunt you.
Despite its name, the Labyrinth is pretty straightforward.

To help you out, I have indicated the monsters and treasure chest items in
each level, so that you can make sure you got everything.

Items: Iron Ore x2

You cannot progress any further in the Labyrinth. Go back to the Silver Guild,
and forge your first sword. When you are done, you will be able to choose
another weapon technique. If you want, go back to the Labyrinth to get some
materials.

Its time to wander around Wystern and complete a few sidequests.

===> Go to the harbor, and talk to the boy there. Afterwards, head to the
     house to the northeast of the shop. Talk to the old man there, and tell
     him about the cat. You will get a technique. Remember this as the "Cat
     House". You'll be coming back here later.

===> Make sure you have a Matchbox, and head to the house completely
     southwest. You'll have to use your Water Scooter. Talk with the man there,
     and give him the matchbox. You will receive a technique. Remember this
     as the "Drill House". You'll be coming back here later.

---> Finding it hard to get Mystic Ore? Well, go to the long bridge that
     connects to the Central Tower. Close to the Central Tower, you should spot
     an old man to the west. To get to him, keep trying to go left on every
     part of the bridge. When you get to him, keep talking with him and
     electing to continue until he gives you 3 Mystic Ores.

When you are ready, head to the Central Tower, and speak with the
man on the upper left of the first floor to begin your battle with Chaves.

===============================================================================
Boss: Chaves
HP: 190
Weapon Durability: 70
Item: Sword Technique - Chaves' Sword

Preparation: Hopefully, you have either an axe or a drill to help you break
his weapon.

Attacks: If you are a bit far, he will swing down with his huge sword. If you
are too close, he will make a stabbing motion at the ground near his feet.

Tactics: Get slightly away from him, and when he brings his sword up, dash and
get close to him. If you are close enough, he will not hit you. Now mash at
him, or try to get him to guard to break his weapon.

 Key Items: Guild Delivery, Match Notice 2
 Sword Techniques: 4 - Iron Saber
 Bosses: Varil, Kenon
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

After winning the fight, and an evening stroll, Bron'll talk to you. Go to the
harbor, which is across 2 bridges and all the way north. Head onto the boat,
and talk with Bron.

When you arrive in Vance, head north into the village, then head west a ways
and enter the building with a sword sign.

When you try to leave the harbor, you will meet up with a queer fellow. It
doesn't matter if you accept or decline his offer, you'll end up doing it
anyways.

Head into the Central Tower, and head down to the Labyrinth. You can access
until level B8F now.

On this level are 2 hidden rooms which contain tons of ore. It is enough for
you to forge 10 Iron Sabers.

Once you are done, head back to your workshop, make 10 Iron Sabers, and go to
the harbor to sell them to Nigelle. Head back towards your workshop, and you
will be interrupted by some blond kid...a very egotistic blond kid.

After getting your second match notice, head into the Central Tower, and
towards the arena. However, Sanary will stop you. Head to the harbor, but
prepare for a boss battle beforehand!

===============================================================================
Boss: Varil
HP: 230
Weapon Durability: 75
Item: Spear Technique - Varil's Spear

Preparation: Bring your weapon breaking gear. He uses a spear.

Attacks: Varil uses a spear. His attacks are the same as your spear attacks.
Varil also has high agility, and is probably faster than you.

Tactics: Dash towards him and stick to him. Try not to jump, as spears are
great at knocking you out of the air. You can also just stand in one place and
guard, and switch weapons when one is about to break. His weapon should break
shortly. MAKE SURE YOU BREAK HIS WEAPON.
===============================================================================

After that fight, its time to catch up on some sidequests.

===> Go to the sword guy's house, which is northwest of the Silver Guild. Use
     your Water Scooter to get there. Talk to him for a technique. Remember
     this as the "Sword House". You'll be coming back here later.

===> Go to your forge and craft Varil's Spear (Spear Technique 05). Go to the
     second level of Wystern (stairs in Central Tower, then south exit). Go
     south, and east across the bridge. Continue east and into the house with
     smoke coming out. Talk to the woman, and give her Varil's Spear. Remember
     this as the "Spear House. You'll be coming back here later.

After you're done, go sell or smelt your Iron Sabers, then head to the arena
and prepare for your second tournament match!

===============================================================================
Boss: Kenon
HP: 300
Weapon Durability: 90
Item: Axe Technique - Kenon's Axe

Preparation: Bring your high durability and weapon breaking weapon

Attacks: Kenon uses an axe. He's quite slow, but his hits are powerful. He
also occasionally summons his Guardian Beast.

Tactics: Dash in and do a combo, then dash away. He's pretty slow, and you
should be able to read his movements. Try to break his weapon to get his axe
technique. Don't stray to far away from him, or he'll beat you with his
Guardian Beast. MAKE SURE YOU BREAK HIS WEAPON.

After the match, another evening stroll takes place, though now you can visit
Varil.

When you reach a large hole, you will have the option of going down it.
Decline, and activate the teleporter first. Then go back, and head down the
hole.

After a chunk of story, head over to the hole and keep hacking at it with your
hammer (mash the A button).

After waking up, follow Razzy through the lower exit. You may rest in the bed
here if you want, but the forge is broken and doesn't work. Keep heading
south until you meet Razzy again. Prepare yourself for a boss fight!

===============================================================================
Boss: Yasha Spider
HP: 1400+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Eerie Mask

Preparation: To have an easy fight, make sure your Guardian Beast has a few
attack moves. Also, bring some high durability and long range weapons.

Attacks: This spider will counterattack any attack by turning around and
either hitting you with his claw or the mouth on his abdomen. He can also
breathe energy at you.

Tactics: Since he counterattacks every attack, your best hope is to hit and
run. Or, use a long range weapon and hop back. Don't worry about using your
Guardian Beast's attacks, as you can easily refill HP/MP at the end of the
fight in the nearby bed.
===============================================================================

Head back to the bed if you need to, then follow Razzy into the door. Talk
with Razzy, and open the nearby chest before going back to the sleeping place.

After the dialogue (and picking up yet another rival), head outside, and up
the ladder.

#####
Labyrinth B12F

Items:
Monsters: Gunnerhead, Spinner, Jelly Slime
#####

Afterwards, head to the lower exit (all the doors on this level are locked at
this point). Since you can't head any deeper, go back, use the teleporter on
Level B11F, and head back to the Silver Guild.

Chat with Bron, then go to your forge.

===> Forge Kenon's Axe (Axe Technique 05). Go to the second level of Wystern,
     and go south, then west across a bridge. Head a bit south and into the
     house with a girl standing next to it. Talk to the guy and give him
     Kenon's Axe. Remember this as the "Axe House". You'll be coming back here
     later.

After a chat with Bron, head to the Central Tower and prepare for your 3rd
tournament match.

===============================================================================
Boss: Razzy
HP: 500
Weapon Durability: 72
Item: Knuckle Technique - Razzy's Knuckles

Preparation: Bring a drill. Nuff said.

Attacks: Razzy uses knuckles. This means that she is blazingly fast, and if
you get too close, you'll get pounded with her fists of fury. Her Guardian
Beast will also attack.

Tactics: The only surefire way I know of breaking her weapon involves using a
drill. Get moderately close to Razzy. When she jump attacks at you, dash
towards her, you should end up on the other side. Turn around, and use a
down-A attack. She should guard, and you'll end up hitting her weapon 5 times.
Repeat. However, her Guardian Beast may cast Weapon Guard. You'll see this
when her weapon glows white. When that happens, her weapon DOESN'T lose
durability. So, just dash around and hope she doesn't hit you. When it wears
off, repeat your tactic. MAKE SURE YOU BREAK HER WEAPON.
===============================================================================

After defeating Razzy, you now have to go comfort her. So take the stairs till
level 3 of the Central Tower (stairs are on the left of both levels). Then,
take the secret passage directly to the north of you. Keep going north till
you get to the upper right corner, then go all the way west and up the stairs.
Try not to get caught by the guards. The doorway in the middle part of the
room is inaccessible.

After the dialogue, there will be another evening stroll.

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
 Tournament Match 4                                                     [TMT4]

 Key Items: Match Notice 4, Lesson Recipe, Menu Material 1, Menu Material 2,
            Spice Set, Curry, Labyrinth Key 2
 Sword Techniques: 8 - Gladius, 10 - Ladle
 Bosses: Ariel
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

After the dialogue, Bron will give you a new technique, but you'll have to get
more items to be able to forge it. So, head down to the Labyrinth. You'll meet
Sanary along the way.

Use the teleporter to get to Level B11F, then go south a bit to find the hole
filled in. Go down to Level B12F, and to the first door you see. It'll be
locked still, so follow your Guardian Beast's advice and leave the Labyrinth.

You'll meet the mysterious woman again. After the dialogue, go to the second
level of Central Tower, and leave by the southern exit.

Head south, then across the eastern bridge. Keep going northeast until you
find a house at the end of a plank (its above the house with smoke coming out
of it).

No matter what you say, you'll take his special training. It involves running
errands, whee! After the dialogue, go into the house to the south with the
smoking chimney, and speak with the woman there. Then, go west across 2
bridges, and south into the house with the girl standing next to it. Talk with
the woman there to get the 2nd ingredient.

Go back to Sakuro, and he'll give you another sword technique! Now go to your
forge to make it, and you'll get a little surprise *snicker*.

Go back to Sakuro's house, and now he wants you to get some spices. To get the
spiceeeeees, go to the lower level of Wystern, and talk to the Indian guy in
front of the stand in the northwest of the fountain. When you have a choice to
say something in his native tongue, choose the second choice (Pata nahin), and
you'll get the spices for free!

Head back to Sakuro, and he'll make you make the curry. Go to the pot in the
kitchen (north of Sakuro), and press A to begin. You'll be presented with 4
choices:

      Seafood
      Vegetables
      Water
      Spice

Just choose them in that order. When you're done with the curry, Sakuro will
be gone. To find him, go to Central Tower, and head straight north into the
other exit.

After the dialogue, head into the Labyrinth, and through the door that was
locked previously. Continue heading down the Labyrinth.

sword, otherwise you won't be allowed to participate in the match.

===> Also, forge Razzy's Knuckles (Knuckle Technique 07). Head to the house
      the farthest northeast (use your Water Scooter). Talk to the man, and
      give him Razzy's Knuckles. Remember this as the "Knuckle House". You'll
      be coming back here later.

Now, go to the Central Tower and prepare for a tournament match!

===============================================================================
Boss: Ariel
HP: 650
Weapon Durability: 95
Item: Drill Technique - Ariel's Drill

Preparation: Bring a high durability weapon, or use a drill/axe.

Attacks: Ariel uses a drill. She tends to use the down-A multihit drill a lot.
You can generally see it coming though. She also summons her sister sometimes
to heal her.

Tactics: Get close and defend, or alternate defend/attack. Try to break her
weapon to get her technique. An easy way to win is to cast Astral Guard, then
sit there and let her use her 5 hit combo. When you are low on health, cast
Healing Spell, and just sit there. After 3-4 casts, her weapon should be close
to breaking, and so just defend till it does. MAKE SURE YOU BREAK HER WEAPON.
===============================================================================

Another night, another evening stroll. You can meet with Sakuro now though.

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

 Key Items: Delivery, Labyrinth Key 3, Bestiary, Western Sword
            Dragon Fang Ore
 Sword Techniques: 12 - Zantetsu Blade
 Bosses: Heavy Metal, Soldier
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Go ahead and forge the new technique you received from Bron. Afterwards, he'll
come back and have a talk with you. You have to forge the sword :/

So...its up to you to help (reluctantly) Bron get together with your mother.

After the dialogue, leave your house and head into Central Tower. Go up one
flight of stairs, then left and up more stairs, and exit to the south. Go
northwest and enter the first door you see. Follow the path.

After receiving the key, you can now access the Labyrinth until level B23!

Head back into the Central Tower and enter the labyrinth. The guard will hand
you a Bestiary. Keep heading down.

NOTE: If you use the teleporter, make sure you use the teleporter to Level
B11, since Level B18 is a dead end. Make your way to level B12, and instead of
entering the first door, continue and enter the far door to the west.

You will meet up with the mysterious woman again. Enter the door at the upper
right, and continue down several small rooms until you enter Level B19.
Continue down the floors until you get to Level B23.

Boss: Heavy Metal
#####

Make your way to the lower left corner of B23, and prepare for a boss fight.

===============================================================================
BOSS: Heavy Metal
HP: 2200+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Dragon Fang Ore*

Preparation: None. This is a pretty easy boss fight. Make sure you have a
couple spare weapons though, he tends to drain durability a lot.

Attacks: Heavy Metal has 3 attacks.

If you stay pretty far away from him, he will reach up to the ceiling and make
his claw come down 2-3 times. To dodge this, just dash away from him. Each claw
hit does about 70 damage.

If you get close, he may hit you with his claw a couple times, doing mediocre
damage.

He may also bring one claw back as if he is charging up. If this happens, DASH
AWAY. He will use a thrust attack that has decent range, and HURTS. It does
around 140 damage AND ignores blocking.

Tactics: This boss is laughably easy. Just dash towards him, hit him once or
twice, then dash away. Repeat.
===============================================================================

You will notice a stairway near you, but if you try to go down, you will
remind yourself to return the Dragon Fang Ore first. So, head back up to Level
B11, use the teleporter, and go back to the old man (on the 3rd level of
Wystern). Along the way, you will meet with the mysterious woman and Varil
again.

Before heading for Rondeau house, go back to your forge.

===> Forge Ariel's Drill (Drill Technique 09). Go to the Drill House from
     before (furthest southwest house), and give the drill to the woman.

===> Go to the harbor, and talk to the man there. Go back to the cat house
     (northeast of the first level shop) and talk to the kid (not old man).

If you go to Rondeau's house, he won't be there!

Instead, head south on the 3rd level of Wystern, to find him surrounded by
soldiers! Prepare for a boss fight.

===============================================================================
Boss: Soldier
HP: 800
Weapon Durability: 70
Item: Med Kit

Preparation: Get a high durability weapon, preferably the Hot Iron Ladle.

Attacks: Bwahaha...this guy is just sad. Stand still and guard the entire
time. He should break his weapon.

Tactics: Just sit still and guard. He should break his weapon before you do.
If your weapon is close to breaking, just switch weapons. He doesn't have a
new technique, but if you manage to break his weapon, you will get a Med Kit,
which AUTOMATICALLY activates when you die, and heals you fully. Its amazing.
If you just defeat him, you won't get anything. Note: Med Kits only activate
if you have them in a Support Ability slot.
===============================================================================

 Vortex                                                                 [VORT]

 Items: Ship Key, Eastern Sword
 Sword Techniques: 14 - High Blade
 Bosses: Giant Serpent, Grudge Fish, King Crabber
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

When you regain control, head to the harbor, which is across two bridges and
all the way to the north.

After all the story events, exit your house and go back to the Silver Guild
and talk to Bron.

Its time to finish a few sidequests before we continue.

===> Unequip all your weapons, and equip 1 (or more) swords only. Go back to
     the Sword House (northwest of Silver Guild), and talk with the guy.

===> Keep forging spear techniques until you get to Murder Pole (Spear
     Technique 12). Just forge a spear, and talk to Bron for another spear
     technique, until he doesn't give you any more spear techniques. Forge the
     Murder Pole, and head to the Spear House (eastern Wystern level 2, smoke
     coming out of it). Give the spear to the woman.

Head back to the harbor, and enter the ship docked there. If you go
downstairs, you will find a room pretty much identical to the room in the
Silver Guild. Furthermore, there is a green book on the table to the right,
which serves as a clone of Bron.

When you are done down below, head upstairs, and take the wheel. Prepare for a
boss fight though.

===============================================================================
Boss: Giant Serpent
HP: 1800+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Large Fishhook

Preparation: Make sure your weapons aren't Water Element infused.

Attacks: The giant serpent may rotate its fins at you, which has extended
range and may hit you up to 3 times, each hurting about 60 damage.

It may hurl a wall of water at you, which has a bit of range, and hits for
around 60 damage.

If you get too close, it may also teleport into the air and dash towards you 3
times. This does around 60 damage each hit.

Tactics: Jump-slash, and dash away. Repeat.
===============================================================================

Leave your boat and head north to the village. Follow the path under the
bridge until your Guardian Beast tells you to stop.

Go south and follow the path through the trees until you reach 2 people.

Climb up the nearby stairs, and follow the dark brown path around until you
get to a hut. Enter it.

You'll meet this horny pedophile guy...after the disturbing dialogue, leave
the way you came in, and go left and around the hut, and enter the cave.

When you exit out of the well, go west and into the other cave. Stay to the
north part of the village, or you will be spotted by the guards and have to
fight the boss immediately.

Go to the west and follow the path around. Prepare for a boss fight. But
before that, make sure you keep electing to watch Sanary, some pretty funny
stuff happens.

===============================================================================
Boss: Grudge Fish
HP: 2500+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Burnt Scale

Preparation: Keep your HP high, and have multiple weapons.

Attacks: This guy is the same as the Giant Serpent you fought earlier.

Tactics: Jump-slash, dash away, repeat. If you are daring, you can go for a
full sword combo before dashing/jumping away.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: King Crabber
HP: 4900+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Spiral Ring

Preparation: No special preparation.

Attacks: When one eye goes down, that means that the claw on that side will
attack. Dash to the other side to dodge.

When both eyes go down at about the same time, it will attack with 4
sequential short claws. Just stay in the middle and you will be fine.

When both eyes go down at slightly offset times, the eye that goes down first
will attack with a large claw from that side, dodge to the other side. The
other claw will be in the air, so just keep on the ground to dodge that one.

Furthermore, if you stay near the center of the crab too much, bubbles will
appear. Go towards the edges of the crab to dodge the bubbles.

Also, if you stay near the center too long, the eyes will glow green. Quickly
jump out of the center, or you will be hit with a green cyclone.

Tactics: Dodge his attacks as mentioned above, and just mash his eyes. It
seems that the eyes alternate taking more or less damage. Experiment a bit,
and when you see that attacks against one eye seem to lessen, attack the other
eye.
===============================================================================

When you regain control, go back to the mayor's house, which is in the upper
right of the town. It is NOT the hut you were in before.

When you get back to Wystern, go back to your house. Later, follow your
Guardian Beast's advice and head to the 3rd level of Wystern, and speak with
the old man.

Before heading to the harbor, go back to the Silver Guild and talk to Bron.
He'll hand you a new technique.

Before going to the harbor, make sure you:

===> Go to the Axe House (second level, just southwest of western bridge).
     Talk with the woman there, and listen to her gripe.

---> Go to the 3rd level of wystern. Go south, talk to the foreman.
     Afterwards, wander around and talk to all 6 workers. Report back to the
     foreman, and he will give you Spiked Boots.

Head to the harbor and speak with Ureksa.

Depending on how you answer Ureksa's question about a hero, the hero will have
a different character sprite. I do not believe this affects anything in the
course of the story. I haven't figured out how this works yet, but I'll add it
later.

When you get to the volcano, head north.

After the story events, head north, and go up the stairs to the right. Head
into the portal.

just leave and head up the central staircase.

===============================================================================
Boss: Chaves 2
HP: 1200
Weapon Durability: 70
Item:

Preparation: If you didn't get his sword technique before, this is your last
chance to do it. Bring an axe, drill, or the Hot Iron Ladle.

Attacks: If you are medium distance away, he'll make a big swing with his
sword. When you see him bring his sword over his head, dash towards him, and
if you get close enough, his attack will not hit.

If you are too close, he'll make a short downwards stab with his sword.

Tactics: Get slightly away from him, and he'll do his big swing. Dash towards
him, and mash him at that time. Repeat. If you are trying to break his weapon,
use your Guardian Beast's Weapon Guard ability, and just defend.
===============================================================================

Leave, and go back down the staircase. This time, take the central staircase,
and enter the first portal you see.

Tactics: As with any spear user, try to stick close, and close any distance

great at knocking you out of the air. MAKE SURE YOU BREAK HIS WEAPON.

===============================================================================
Boss: Kirin
HP: 7600+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Magatama Necklet

Preparation: The summoner wasn't kidding when he says it is made of swords. He
eats swords. By that I mean, your weapons will break so fast...make sure you
have high durability weapons, as well as maybe an axe or two. Also, your
Guardian Beast's Weapon Guard is very useful.

Attacks: Kirin can swoop towards you. If you are too close, he can send tons
of scales flying into you. If you are kinda far away, he can use his fireball,
which not only hurts A LOT if you get hit by it, but also immolates the far
side of the field. So, dash TOWARDS him if you somehow see this coming.

Tactics: Approach with a jump-slash, then mash at him, and dash away,
depending on what kind of attacks he uses. If you have enough HP, just stand
under him and mash away. His attacks will not hurt as much if you are right
under him, since all he uses is his scale attack, which can be somewhat
guarded against. Your Guardian Beast's Enchant Aqua and Weapon Guard are very
useful.
===============================================================================

When you get back to Wystern, head for your house. Speak with your mother.

Afterwards, head to the Silver Guild....and...SPOILER WARNING: Razzy is a
girl! OMG! Uh...yea.

===> Head to the Axe House (southwest second level), and talk with the woman
     again.

===> Forge Ureksa's Spear (Spear Technique 16), and give it to the Spear House
     woman (east second level, smoke coming out).

---> Go back to your forge, and go to Bron's room. There should be a guy in
     the bed (???In Bron's bed...hrm???!). Talk to him. Then go to the most
     northeast house, and talk to the guy there. Tell him where his son is, and
     he'll give you a technique.

Head to the harbor, and get on your ship.

head to the Silver Guild and talk with Bron to get a new technique.

Head to the 2nd level of Wystern and go to Sakuro's house...and apparently
you'll die if you get involved. Hrm. Anyway, head to the harbor and back to
Vance. Once there, go back to Rumari's house.

Once there, speak to Sanary. After they head off, you can go speak to Rumari
to get some more info, but then follow them.

The door in northern B34F is locked. Once you're done, head back up.

===> Go to the Axe House again (southwest second level), talk to the woman.

===> Forge drills until you get to Terra Rotor (Drill Technique 18). Forge it,
     and go to the Drill House (southwest first level), and give it to the
     woman.

===> Go to the harbor, and find the cat on the box. Go to the Cat House
     (northeast of shop first level), and talk with the old man.

When you are done, head to the harbor, talk with Sakuro, and head over to Fort
Mirana.

When you arrive in Fort Mirana, head into the first doorway you see. Make your
way up the levels, entering every staircase that is green, and if you can't
find any on your level, going into the purple doors. On one level, a red door
is the only door you can enter, in that case, just enter it.

Before entering the doorway on the bottom of Level G9F, prepare for a boss
fight!

===============================================================================
Boss: Soldier 2
HP: 1250
Weapon Durability: 125
Item:

Preparation: None.

Attacks: This soldier uses an axe.

Tactics: Just attack him when he seems to be preparing to attack. If you want
to, you can try to break his weapon.
===============================================================================

After the battle, go west until you get to the spiral screw thingy. Slide
down, and save your game. You will have to fight 2 bosses in succession, so be
prepared! Head for the docks, and you will fight...

===============================================================================
Boss: Lubert
HP: 1350
Weapon Durability: 120
Item: Drill Technique - Lubert's Drill

Preparation: Bring your weapon breaking equipment.

Attacks: Lubert uses a drill, and will attack in a similar way to Ariel and
Mariel.

Tactics: Rush in for a combo, then jump back to avoid his attacks. Use your
Guardian Beast's Weapon Guard and defend to make him waste durability, but
watch out, he'll use his Guardian Beast if you defend too much.
===============================================================================

After a bit of dialogue and some heavy precipitation, you'll have to fight:

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista
HP: 9700+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Blazing Ore

Preparation: Oo boy, if you took a beating from Lubert, you are gonna have a
hard time during this fight. Make sure you have a Med Kit, and that your
Guardian Beast has a healing spell/item or two.

Attacks: When his stomach has stuff jutting out of it, run away even farther,
as a huge mouth will come out, which does 400+ damage.

He can also lick at you with his tongue, doing 100+ damage.

He can breathe fire, which hits multiple times, and does 100+ damage each hit.

Tactics: Hit and run. I never got hit using this strategy. Weapon Guard is
always useful, otherwise you may have to switch weapons.
===============================================================================

After a night stroll, it seems that if you chose Sugar as your Guardian Beast,
you'll go on a date with her, where she will explain about Spirit Realms. I'm
not sure what happens if you chose another Guardian Beast.

some advice.

Go see your mother about Shintetsu's hammer. Then go to the third level of
Wystern and into Rondeau's cabin thingy. Go back inside Central Tower, and use
the hidden door in the upper right to bump into Sakuro.

Afterwards, go back to Bron to get another technique. If you want, you can
head deeper into the Labyrinth.

Near the middle of this level, 2 guards block your passage any farther. Leave
the Labyrinth.

Now its time to get those rewards from the sidequests you've been doing.

===> Go to the Sword House (northwest of Silver Guild). Talk to the man there
     to get the Buzzsaw Sword (Sword Technique 27).

===> Go to the Axe House (southwest second level). Talk to the man for the
     Demonic Boneaxe (Axe Technique 24).

===> Go to the Cat House (northeast of shop first level) and talk to the old
     man for the Super Catickles (Knuckle Technique 24).

===> Go to the Drill House (southwest first level) and talk to the woman to
     get the Sweet Drill (Drill Technique 25).

===> Go back to your forge. Forge a Platinum Lance (Spear Technique 22). Go to
     the Spear House (east second level, smoke). Give it to the woman.

Head back to Central Tower, and prepare for a boss fight!

===============================================================================
Boss: Sanary
HP: 1580
Weapon Durability: 95
Item: Sword Technique - Sanary's Sword

Preparation: This is the only chance to obtain Sanary's Sword, so bring your
high durability or weapon breaking weapon.

Attacks: She uses a sword, so watch out for her triple hit combos. Also, she
uses her Guardian Beast if you wait too long and always defend.

Tactics: To kill her, just hit and run, though it might be tough if you have
low agility. In that case, just stick close to her, and mash with
combos/defend. If you want to break her weapon, use your Guardian Beast's
Weapon Guard, and stick close to her and guard.
===============================================================================

Afterwards...Sanary goes nuts, and the Labyrinth is sealed.

After dire warnings not to go search for Sanary, you have the choice of
deciding to prepare for you match or to search for Sanary. No matter what you
choose, you will end up searching for her anyways, so elect to find her, as
that is shorter.

Before continuing with your quest, nows the time to pick up your spear reward.

===> Go to the Spear House (east second level, smoke). Talk to the woman to
     receive the Fish Hoarder (Spear Technique 27).

Head to Central Tower, and you will find Varil. Go to the Labyrinth, and speak
with the guard. Go to Level 2, and take the northern entrance and speak with
the guard.

Head to Level 3, and speak with the guard there (you can't use the secret
entrance, as he'll spot you. After speaking with him, go use the secret
entrance, and enter the doorway in the back. Make sure you don't get spotted.

Make your way down all the way to Level B46F, and some more story will happen.

The first door you find on this level is locked. Go instead to the western
door, but before you enter, prepare for a boss fight!

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista 2
HP: Infinite
Weapon Durability: None
Item:

Preparation: Well...I said prepare, but theres not much you can do to prepare,
besides making sure you UNEQUIP your Med Kits, so as not to waste them.

Attacks: Parista is just Kirin on steroids. He has similar attacks, as well as
a "pound the ground" attack, which makes boulders fall on you. You can dodge
them by seeing their shadows before they fall.

Tactics: If you want to test your skills, try to dodge as much as you can.
Attacking him does 1 damage. There are 2 ways to end this battle. If you suck
too much, dying will end it. But if you keep hacking at him, the battle will
end after a bit as well. So, choose the easy or hard way to lose :P
===============================================================================

Well, you end up fainting, and a huge chunk of story occurs.

After a bit, one of the few decisions that affects the course of the game
occurs. You can choose whether to sacrifice your Guardian Beast or not. If you
do, don't worry, you'll get your Guardian Beast back.

-----> Sacrifice Guardian Beast

If you choose to sacrifice him/her/it, you'll immediately begin forging of the
super weapon. Choose which weapon type to use (I recommend axe for pure
damage). Then its time to beat down Parista! (skip the next section)

-----> Don't Sacrifice Guardian Beast

You'll have to collect the 3 swords, as well as a 4th "hidden" sword.
NOTE: Jeez, with names like Western, Northern, and Eastern swords, who woulda
guessed there was a fourth Southern sword? :P

After the dialogue, leave the room, and use the teleporter to leave the
Labyrinth. Since you can't use the stairs, go to the place where you entered,
and use the ladder.

Go to your house. After a dialogue, you gotta fight some soldiers.

===============================================================================
Boss: Soldier 3
HP: 1250
Weapon Durability: 125
Item:

Preparation: This is a soldier. No need to prepare. You can take him down with
your hammer if you need to.

Attacks: This soldier uses an axe.

Tactics: Just wail on him. These soldiers are only slightly harder than slimes.
===============================================================================

After some more story, head back down to Level B50F, and speak with Kuhyra.
You'll have to choose the type of the weapon that is forged, and then its time
to fight Parista. NOTE: Those oblivious guards still won't let you in to the
Labyrinth, so use the secret path again.

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista 3
HP: 13900+
Weapon Durability: None
Item:

Preparation: Be at full health.

Attacks: As before, he is just a pumped up Kirin. His only unique attack is
the pound attack, which makes rocks fall from the ceiling. Also, instead of
swooping at you, he uses his claw. And he does not change what side of the
field he is on.

Tactics: Hit and run. If you use the axe, he should go down very quickly.
Don't worry about your weapon durability, your weapon will never break (until
its supposed to ;). NOTE: If you chose not to sacrifice your Guardian Spirit,
the weapon will be weaker. And if you did sacrifice your Guardian Spirit,
you'll still be able to use your support abilities, as Kuhyra will be your
temporary Guardian Spirit.
===============================================================================

More dialogue and story, then you'll have to fight Sanary and Parista!

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista 4
HP: 23700+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Dragon Fossils

Preparation: Nothing you can really prepare for.

Attacks: He can send his hands forward to hit you. Jump to dodge this. Or just
guard, you'll take like 10 damage.

He can punch you up into the air. Stay away from him to dodge. Can't guard.
There will be a kinda shockwave thing near him (as well as a thudding sound)
before the hand appears.

He can send Sanary's spirit to shoot beams of light at you. Run away from him
to dodge. Or just defend. 90% of the time you'll successfully guard.

He can send his face forwards. Run away to dodge. Or guard for minimal damage.
His face will glow green beforehand.

He can charge up and shoot a huge beam of energy that hits 4 times for
around 300 damage, this is undodgeable. But, if you stay near him, he generally
won't use this. But then again, you'll get hit by his more damaging attacks.

Tactics: Hit and run, hopefully you chose the axe to use, as its the best
damage per hit. Or the sword, as it does a lot of damage per comob. Your
Guardian Beast's Healing Spell is a godsend. Again, your weapon will not break,
don't worry about durability/defending.
===============================================================================

Alright! Enjoy the credits! But the game is far from over! Theres still much
to do!

After the credits, and a bit of dialogue, its time to whoop Varil and claim
your Craftlord title!

...Bwahaha! So much dialogue, and no actual fight :P Enjoy the ending with the
person that you visited on the final night.

 Aftermath                                                              [AFTR]

 Key Items: None...I think
 Sword Techniques: A bunch...bah I'm tired
 Bosses: Evil Metal, Omen Fish, Inferno Kirin
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Back in your workshop, you can now proceed further down into the Labyrinth!

The doors that were sealed are now unsealed.

You can swap your Guardian Beast with Kuhyra, and then forge elemental
techniques of any weapon type.

You can go down all the way to Labyrinth B100F, along the way where you'll
fight harder monsters, new bosses, and get new weapon techniques.

At the end of the Labyrinth is Inferno Kirin, who has like, godlike health,
etc. If you defeat him though, you'll get a HUGE amount of experience. Great
for leveling up.

Weapon Techniques found in the deeper areas of the Labyrinth include:

Great Scimitar (Sword 29) - Dropped by Black Pincer
Demon's Rage Sword (Sword 31) - Level B59F
Angelic Blade      (Sword 33) - Level B81F
Saintly Sword (Sword 35) - Defeat Inferno Kirin (Level B100F)

Feather Axe (Axe 26) - Find all monsters in Bestiary, then leave Labyrinth
Skull Crusher (Axe 28) - Defeat Omen Fish twice (Level B80F)
Twin Demon Axe (Axe 30) - Dropped by Arch Demon
Haven Axe (Axe 32) - Dropped by Dark Dragon

Sniper Lance (Spear 29) - Level B69F
Giant Fork (Spear 31) - Defeat Omen Fish first time (Level B80F)
Hammer Head (Spear 33) - Finish Exhibition Match with time < 02:00:00
Lord Spear (Spear 35) - Defeat Inferno Kirin twice (Level B100F)

Hazard Knuckles (Knuckle 26) - Defeat Evil Metal twice (Level B60F)
Bear Claws (Knuckle 28) - Dropped by Harricade
Skull Knuckles (Knuckle 30) - Break every barrel/crate, then leave Labyrinth
Trihaven Fists (Knuckle 32) - Dropped by Devil Head

Fanged Drill (Drill 27) - Defeat Evil Metal first time (Level B60F)
Rainbow Drill (Drill 29) - Dropped by Interceptor
Twin Drill (Drill 31) - Dropped by Gunner Giant
Superconductor (Drill 33) - Dropped by Charger

Furthermore, you can now fight in the Exhibition Match where the Tournament
Matches used to be held. You will fight against all the bosses in the game
sequentially, and if you get a total time of <2:00:00, you'll get a technique!

I will include those fights as soon as I can! For now, congrats on beating the
main game of Summon Night: Swordcraft Story!

And here it is, the Labyrinth data for levels B51F-B100F!

Note that there are teleporters on every level that ends in "6".

Also, there are save points at every level that ends in "8".

There are HP/MP refill patches AFTER every boss (Levels 60,80,100). There are
also refill patches fairly frequently in the lower parts of the dungeon (80+).
There is a refill patch at level 99, right before you go down to fight Inferno
Kirin.

Guard. Don't let his low HP fool you, it'll take around 30 full Knuckle
combos, etc to beat him.

Attacks: Same as Heavy Metal.

Tactics: Hit and run, though if you use a spear, you can probably permastun
him with your normal attack. Don't worry about summoning your Guardian Beast.

===============================================================================
Boss: Inferno Kirin
HP: 65500+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Sword Technique 35 - Saintly Sword (1st time)

Preparation: Oh my god, he has a lot of HP. I don't its possible to beat him
without breaking a weapon. So, if you don't want to lose your weapons, come in
with just your hammer and hope for the best...his attacks aren't that hard to
dodge. But it will take 1000+ hits with the hammer to kill him. Thats not
gonna happen.

NOTE: I managed to beat him without breaking a single weapon. I used the Hot
Iron Ladle (200+ DUR!!! Make sure you use Enchant Aqua on it, otherwise you
won't do any damage). And 2 axes. To maximise your chances, attack till each
weapon is around 2-5 DUR. Then, use Weapon Guard on an axe (not on the ladle,
as it nullifies Enchant Aqua, and Enchant Aqua nullifies Weapon Guard). It
took me like 3 Weapon Guards to beat him. This was at level 75.

Attacks: Same as Kirin.

Tactics: Hit and run. If you have a sword, go under him and do a combo before
running. Otherwise, jump-slashing works well too. After the battle, don't
forget to loot the far end of the arena! Again, if you don't get hit, you'll
get around 300000 bonus xp.
===============================================================================

If you defeated all 3 extra bosses (Evil Metal, Omen Fish, Inferno Kirin),
then the next time you enter the Labyrinth, you can fight them again! Great
experience building.

 7. Sidequest FAQ                                                       {SIDE}
*******************************************************************************

There are numerous sidequests in Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. The rewards
for the small sidequests are elemental techniques of the 3 types that your
Guardian Beast cannot forge. However, once you have access to Kuhyra, you can
forge any elemental technique, so these rewards are not necessary.

However, there are a few long sidequests that result in techniques not
available anywhere else. These revolve around 6 main houses.

      Sword House : Northwest of Silver Guild. Use the water scooter.
      Spear House : South of Sakuro's house, it has a smoking chimney.
      Axe House : Second Level of Wystern, in the west, girl next to it.
      Drill House : Southwest of first level, Use the scooter.
      Knuckle House : Furthest northeast house on first level. Use scooter.
      Cat House : Northeast of shop on first level.

Furthermore, during the course of the game, your character will take numerous
nighttime strolls. Each time this happens, another "day" has passed. These
sidequest events must be completed on the correct day. Day 1 is after you get
your Guardian Beast and before you fight your first tournament match.

=== Day 1 === Before fighting Chaves.

1. Talk to the old man in the Cat House. Go to the harbor, talk to the man
   there. Report back to the old man, choose first dialogue option.

2. Get a Matchbox, bring to man in Drill House.

=== Day 2 === Before fighting Kenon.

1. Go to the Sword House, talk to the man there.

2. Break Varil's Spear. Forge it, then bring it to woman in Spear House.

NOTE: Make sure you break Varil's Spear and Kenon's Axe.

=== Day 3 === Before fighting Razzy.

1. Break Kenon's Axe. Forge it, and bring it to man in Axe House.

NOTE: Make sure you break Razzy's Knuckles.

=== Day 4 === Before fighting Ariel.

1. Break Razzy's Knuckles. Forge it, and bring it to Knuckle House.

NOTE: Make sure you break Ariel's Drill.

=== Day 5 === Before giving back the Dragon Fang Ore.

1. Talk to the man at the harbor. Go back to Cat House, and talk to the kid.

2. Break Ariel's Drill. Forge it, and bring it to woman in Drill House.

=== Day 6 === Before going to Vortex and Marine Dungeon.

1. Make sure you only are equipping swords, then talk to man in Sword House.

2. Forge a Murder Pole (Spear). Bring to woman in Spear House.

NOTE: Make sure you break Ureksa's Spear.

=== Day 7 === Before going to Kagro Volcano

1. Go to Axe House, talk to the woman.

=== Day 8 === Before going to Cape Lighthouse.

1. Go to Axe House, talk to the woman.

2. Forge Ureksa's Spear, go to Spear House, give to the woman.

=== Day 9 === Before going to Fort Mirana.

1. Go to Axe House, talk to the woman.

2. Forge a Terra Rotor (Drill), give to Drill House.

3. Go to the harbor, find the cat on the box, talk to old man in Cat House.

=== Day 10 === Before fighting Sanary (and right after).

1. Forge a Platinum Lance (Spear), give to Spear House BEFORE semifinal match.

2. Go to Sword House, get Buzzsaw Blade (Sword).

3. Go to Axe House, get Demonic Boneaxe (Axe).

4. Go to Cat House, get Super Catickles (Knuckle).

5. Go to Drill House, get Sweet Drill (Drill).

6. Go to Spear House AFTER semifinals. Get Fish Hoarder (Spear).

There! All the unique techniques have been found. You may find that by the end
of the game, you still won't have all the techniques. Thats fine, there are a
few that can only be found after you have finished the main game. Furthermore,
some elemental techniques can only be forged after you can swap Guardian
Beasts with Kuhyra.

===============================================================================
Boss: Chaves                                                            [CHAV]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Varil                                                             [VARL]

His weapon should break
shortly.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Kenon                                                             [KENO]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Yasha Spider                                                      [YASH]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Razzy                                                             [RAZZ]
HP: 500
Weapon Durability: 72
Item: Knuckle Technique - Razzy's Knuckles

Preparation: Bring a drill. Nuff said.

Attacks: Razzy uses knuckles. This means that she is blazingly fast, and if
you get too close, you'll get pounded with her fists of fury. Her Guardian
Beast will also attack.

Tactics: The only surefire way I know of breaking her weapon involves using a
drill. Get moderately close to Razzy. When she jump attacks at you, dash
towards her, you should end up on the other side. Turn around, and use a
down-A attack. She should guard, and you'll end up hitting her weapon 5 times.
Repeat. However, her Guardian Beast may cast Weapon Guard. You'll see this
when her weapon glows white. When that happens, her weapon DOESN'T lose
durability. So, just dash around and hope she doesn't hit you. When it wears
off, repeat your tactic.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
BOSS: Heavy Metal                                                       [HMTL]

Repeat.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Soldier                                                           [SOLD]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Giant Serpent                                                     [GSRP]

Repeat.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Grudge Fish                                                       [GFSH]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: King Crabber                                                      [KCRB]

Experiment a bit,
and when you see that attacks against one eye seem to lessen, attack the other
eye.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Chaves 2                                                          [CHA2]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Ureksa                                                            [UREK]
HP: 1050
Weapon Durability: 105
Item: Ureksa's Spear

Preparation: Prepare as you would to break his weapon.

Attacks: He is a spear user. He also occasionally calls his Guardian Beast to
hurt you.

Tactics: As with any spear user, try to stick close, and close any distance
quickly by dashing/jumping. I don't recommend jumping though, as spears are
great at knocking you out of the air.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Kirin                                                             [KIRN]

Your Guardian Beast's Enchant Aqua and Weapon Guard are very
useful.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Ureksa 2                                                          [URK2]
HP: 1300
Weapon Durability: 110
Item: Spear Technique - Ureksa Spear EX

Preparation: Bring your weapon breaking gear again, as Ureksa sports a new
spear.

Attacks: Ureksa is a spear user. He will use the same attacks as before. He
also has his Guardian Beast from before. He will use it if you keep defending
or running away, so keep that in mind.

Tactics: Just get close to him and mash away, or defend to break his weapon.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Soldier 2                                                         [SOL2]
HP: 1250
Weapon Durability: 125
Item:

Preparation: None.

Attacks: This soldier uses an axe.

Tactics: Just attack him when he seems to be preparing to attack. If you want
to, you can try to break his weapon.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Lubert                                                            [LBRT]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista                                                           [PARI]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Sanary                                                            [SANA]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Ureksa 3                                                          [URK3]
HP: 1650
Weapon Durability: 125
Item: Spear Technique - Neo Ureksa Spear

Preparation: Bring your weapon breaking equipment, as Ureksa sports another
new spear.

Attacks: Same as before, he uses his spear and summons his Guardian Beast.

Tactics: Dash close to him, and keep close, so his normal spear thrust will
not hit you. Jumping is not recommended, or you'll spend a lot of time on your
back.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista 2                                                         [PAR2]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Soldier 3                                                         [SOL3]
HP: 1250
Weapon Durability: 125
Item:

Preparation: This is a soldier. No need to prepare. You can take him down with
your hammer if you need to.

Attacks: This soldier uses an axe.

Tactics: Just wail on him. These soldiers are only slightly harder than slimes.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista 3                                                         [PAR3]

===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Parista 4                                                         [PAR4]
HP: 23700+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Dragon Fossils

Preparation: Nothing you can really prepare for.

Attacks: He can send his hands forward to hit you. Jump to dodge this.

He can punch you up into the air. Stay away from him to dodge.

He can send Sanary's spirit to shoot beams of light at you. Run away from him
to dodge.

He can send his face forwards. Run away to dodge.

He can charge up and shoot a huge beam of energy that hits 4 times for
mediocre damage, this is undodgeable. But, if you stay near him, he generally
won't use this. But then again, you'll get hit by his more damaging attacks.

Tactics: Hit and run, hopefully you chose the axe to use, as its the best
damage per hit. Your Guardian Beast's Healing Spell is a godsend. Again, your
weapon will not break, don't worry about durability/defending.
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Evil Metal                                                        [EMTL]
HP: 7500+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Drill Technique (1st time)

Preparation: Same as preparing for Heavy Metal. Though, he has HUGE defense.
You'll proabably want some high durability weapons and Guardian Beast's Weapon

Theres a heal spot just before the stairs to Level B61F
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Omen Fish                                                         [OFSH]
HP: 20400+
Weapon Durability: None
Item: Spear Technique 31 - Giant Fork (1st Time)

Preparation: None.

Attacks: Same as Giant Serpent and Grudge Fish.

Tactics: Just hit and run, you shouldn't ever get hit. PS, if you don't get
hit, you get a ridiculous bonus somewhere in the range of 300000 xp!!!
===============================================================================

===============================================================================
Boss: Inferno Kirin                                                     [IKRN]
