\\\ [RIV-01] OVERVIEW /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Event Choices? In Riviera at certain places or times the player is given some
options which must be selected, one from the options. It shows up in these
either conditions : examine the surrounding (or enter Look mode), events
that automatically occur (such as upon moving or entering screen), or effect of 
an actions. These options or choices including actions (to jump or open 
something), or just merely an opinions (like agree/disagree to your friends). 
It can be in a simple form of "Yes/No" questions, or several options were
provided that you must choose only one.

The choice that the player make can sometimes affect the game progress, such as
triggering clash with enemies, raise or lower the girl's affection, even find
new or secret areas. Some of them will be followed by the quick event like
tapping a button several times or pressing several keys in sequence, which can
result in "Success" or "Failed" status. That status can directly result in a
condition (downed HP/stats, obtain an item, etc.), or yield yet another set of
options or choices, which you must select again. So, from several options could
result in several conditions, which branched again into another sub-options.
Confused? Then that is what this guide for! I have tried to list those
 many

possibilities from those many options or choices.

Note that the form of this guide is somewhat like a walkthrough guide, because I
have to mention all the possibilities that will happen in a chapter, level or
screen. But I will only mention the levels and what could happen there,
especially for those options or choices I've described above. If you are looking
for a walkthrough which will give you the exact or recommended sequence 
to explore the game or finding special items etc., then go to the other guide
please... Got that? Good. Read on then...


\\\ [RIV-02] TABLE OF CONTENTS ////////////////////////////////////////////////

Riviera is divided into main 7 chapters, and an optional bonus chapter. I will
not mention the bonus chapter, as it only consists a single fight against
a bonus boss (Hades), which appears like the Zombie Dragon in the main chapters
and slightly stronger, but yield you nothing... :(

Each chapters will have 8 main levels (1 to 8), and a secret level (9) that
can only be accessed by certain events (jump or go to certain locations,
do several actions like open a crack, etc.). I will list them all here, in
the following format :

    [R-XX] CHAPTER Y : (chapter name)
           [R-Z-1] (level name)
           [R-Z-2] (level name)

Where XX and Y is the chapter number, and Z the level number. To search a
specific chapter or level, you can either input the chapter or level name,
or input the code, such as R-02 for chapter 2, R-7-9 for level 7-9, etc.
Note that certain levels that visited more than once will have the index such
as "a" or "b" after the level number (e.g. R-2-4b).

Between each chapter you will go to Elendia, which I put here as "Inter-
Chapter". The code format is [R-AA/BB] where AA is the previous chapter where
you came from, and BB is the next chapter you will go into. Happy browsing...

Okay, this will get somewhat confusing, even for myself... But worry not, I
have tried to simplified the legend and using the same format through all the
guide (I hope so...). Most of the options or choices are in the Look mode,
but also note that some actions will result in a new pathway, or in Move mode.
If there's a new path occur, I will mention them.

* : Trigger Points needed (in Look mode)
    Such as in : 
                  Chest * 
    means that you need a trigger point (TP) to open the chest.

# : Key Items (appear in Event Items)
    Such as in :
                  Key to Hell #
    means you got the key items "Key to Hell" that will appear in your item
    list. OK, don't take it seriously, you won't go to hell actually, it's the
    item name which is needed to unlock the bonus chapter.

- (under Look options) : Look options after you select them
  Such as in :
                Stone Pillar *
                - Crumbling Pillar
  means that it will appear as "Stone Pillar", but after you examine (look) it,
  the description will change into "Crumbling Pillar".

= (under Look options) : Look actions (throw, leave, pull, etc.)
  Such as in :
                = Pick Up
                  = Open
                  = Don't Open
                = Throw
                = Ignore
  means that you can choose either "Pick Up", "Throw", or "Ignore". If you
  choose "Pick Up", than you would then choose to open it or not.

       Such as in :
                     Cierra+, Lina-, Fia-, Serene-
       means that this action will make Lina, Fia, and Serene hate you, but 
       Cierra will like you more.

N/A : the taken actions/options have no effect at all,
      or there's nothing to do in a screen (except move, of course)
      Such as in :
                    = Touch : N/A
      if you choose to "Touch", nothing will happen.


\\\ [RIV-04] EVENT CHOICES ////////////////////////////////////////////////////

After each chapter name, you will see numbers in boxes and connecting lines.
These are the Level Map for that chapter. Below level name, you will see yet
another numbers in boxes and lines. These one is the Screen Map for that level.
Note that for certain levels the Screen Map could be changed or updated after
the next visit, as a result of certain condition or actions (such as blown
away by the enemy, or warp sequences).

Phew... it DOES take a very long time to list all the possible choices and the
events that follow... So, please read on and find what you need, so that my
whole effort won't be in vain, OK? Contact address is provided at the end.
