The first Mega Man game I can remember playing is Mega Man 2 on the NES. The first Robot Master I can remember fighting is Wood Man, which makes him one of my favorite Robot Masters. Mega Man has always been my favorite video game icon since I was a kid. I own every American released Classic Mega Man and Mega Man X game. I don't really play the other series' though. ============================================================================== --------------------------------About This FAQ-------------------------------- ============================================================================== I decided to write this FAQ for anyone who hasn't been into Mega Man for very long and wants to better themselfs at fighting the Robot Masters with only the Mega Buster. It was finally released in America when it was ported to the Gameboy Advance. It is also, in my opinion, the hardest Classic Mega Man by far. ------Cold Man------ Difficulty: 4/10 Cold Man is the easiest Robot Master in Mega Man & Bass. He doesn't have many attacks to avoid. His Ice Wall attack he will create a wall of Ice and Punch it, causing it to slide along the ground until is bounces off the wall, and then once it gets back to him it shatters, just stand next to the wall and jump once to avoid it, or jump up and to the right and then as it comes back jump up and to the left to avoid it. If you see Cold Man jump, then jump away from where you are standing because he will cause a little area around where you were standing to glow and if you step in it, you will be frozen. Once his health gets low he will start summoning cloud creatures, destroy the clouds with 2 Normal Shots or 1 Charged Shot. If the clouds touch you they will hold you down for a few seconds, so do you best to kill the clouds before they get to you. Video Link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmp5VfDnqJw Cold Man's fight is from 0:01 - 0:41 ------Burner Man------ Difficulty: 7/10 Burner Man is quite unpredictable and fast, which makes him one of the harder Robot Masters to fight with the Mega Buster. At the beginning of the fight he will dash back and forth a few times. Just stand at the left edge of the arena and jump once to avoid this, and if he starts dashing while you are on the right side of the arena, just stand on the right edge and jump once to avoid it. Sometimes he will leap into the air and fire out Bear Traps which will plant themselfs in the middle, on the left and on the right of the arena. Once the traps have planted themselfs he will start using his Wave Burner attack. Try to squeeze into the far left or far right side of the area, without getting cought by the trap and try to hit Burner Man with Charged Shots as he jumps or lands. After a few seconds of using his Wave Burner the traps will explode and his will dash again. Another attack he can do is he will jump into the air and air dive at you, try to be in the middle of the area when he goes into the air for this and slide away to avoid it, because when he lands fire spreads to the left and right of him. Lastly he will throw an explosive, which after detonating he will start using his Wave Burner. Try to Slide under him when you get the chance and pummel him from behind, then slide under him again when he jumps and repeate. When the fight starts he will use his Remote Mine's, try to stand to the left as the first two come at you and jump over them and make the third one place itself at the top. Next he should try to incase himself inside of a bubble, shoot him like crazy to burst the bubble. If you don't pop the bubble in time he will either go back and forth, bouncing off the walls in it (Just slide under him to avoid it). Or he will go back and forth bouncing off the floor and the surface of the water with it. Bascially this fight is mostly trying to place his Remote Mines in a place where you can get around them and then poping his bubble before he can go crazy. When the water level gets low, his will make it rise again. Keep in mind that sometimes he will only shoot 1 or 2 Remote Mines, but most of the time he shoots three. When the fight starts he will do one of four attacks. He can drill underground and come back up about a second later. When he does that just wait a second and then jump and try to move away from where he is coming up at. He can go into the ceiling, you can see where he is at in the ceiling by looking at the part of the dirt that is moving, slide away from it as it gets near you to avoid the giant drill attack that will come out from the ceiling. He can use his Spread Drill weapon, which he will only split into more drills if you hit him, so wait until the Drill has passed you before hitting him. Lastly he can transform into a Tank and drive back and forth across the room, just stand next to a wall and jump once to avoid it as he comes near you. He isn't too bad once you got it all down. Video Link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmp5VfDnqJw Ground Man's fight is from 2:19 - 3:15 ------Magic Man------ Difficulty: 6/10 Magic Man can be a pain sometimes. He is somewhat quick, he can summon minions and he can steal your health. When the fight starts he will usually start out by dashing back and forth across the room. To avoid the dashing, just stand next to the left wall and jump one time when he gets near you. He will stop dashing around when you shoot him. When he has stopped Dashing he will do one of three attacks. He will shoot his Magic Card, slide under it or jump over it quickly to avoid it, if it hits you not only will you lose health, but Magic Man will recover health. The Second Thing he can do is jump into the air and shoot an egg down, which after hitting the ground will crack open and Pipi's will fly out, try to hit the Pipi's with a fully charged shot once the egg has cracked to take them all out. The last thing he will do is shoot several weird looking projectiles, DO NOT SHOOT THEM! If you shoot them it will release a toy soldier, if the soldier gets to you, it will grab you, stealing money and making you open for Magic Man to hit you. If you do accidently release a toy soldier, then kill it as quickly as you can. Video Link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmp5VfDnqJw Magic Man's fight is from 3:16 - 3:52 ------Dynamo Man------ Difficulty: 7/10 Dynamo Man is one of the most annoying Robot Masters to fight in the entire Classic series. When the fight starts he will dash at you, just jump over him as he dashes around. He will stop after dashing back and forth across the room two to three times. He will then either do one of 3 attacks. He will start shooting electic charged wall type projectiles, Stand and let the first one go over you, destroy the second one with Mega Buster Shots, Slide under the third one, let the fourth one go over you, jump over or destroy the fifth one, and let the sixth one go over you. He will sometimes stop and 3 Orbs will rotate around him. SHOOT THEM AS FAST AS YOU CAN! If you shoot an orb enough it will fly off of him try to dodge it as it flys off of him. If you don't manage to get them all off of him, then he will use his Lightning Bolt Attack, which, in my experience, is impossible to dodge without using Copy Vision. The third attack he will do is jump across the room from where he is at and create 5 orbs above you, which will come at you one at a time, just slide under them or away from them to avoid them. Once Dynamo Man's Health is low enough, a machine will come down from the ceiling and start to recover his health, destroy the machine as quickly as you can. To destory it, you must destory both sides of it to make it stop. Like I said, he is VERY Annoying sometimes. Video Link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmp5VfDnqJw Dunamo Man's fight is from 3:53 - 4:44 ------Tengu Man------ Difficulty: 6/10 That's right, Tengu Man is back from Mega Man 8, but with different attack patterns and he is a lot more difficult to fight. Throughout most of the fight he will hover up and down at the top of the screen, try to stay where he is at and hit him with charged shots when he is low enough. If he hovers down, get ready to slide away and/or jump, because he will charge at you and swing the blade on his arm throwing a Tengu Blade at you. If he shoots a Tornado Hold, button mash to get out of it before it carrys you into a pit. The last thing he will do is fly back and forth trying to ram into you, just jump over him to avoid this. Video Link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmp5VfDnqJw 4:45 - 5:25 ------Astro Man------ Difficulty: 7/10 Just like Tengu Man, Astro Man is also back from Mega Man 8. He too, has changed a lot, even more than Tengu Man has. Astro Man has 3 main attacks the first one that he can do is just float down and then back up and teleport to a different location in the room. Just slide away from him if you are close when he does this. The next attack he can do it create little jumper enemy's in the floor. KILL ALL BUT ONE OF THE JUMPER ENEMY'S!!! If you leave one alive then Astro Man will will teleport above you, slide out from under him and hit him with a charged shot, then he will teleport above you again, just do the same thing. Keep that up until the enemy self-destructs. The third attack he can do is make 2 copy's of himself and he will fly back and forth as both he and the copys shoot at you, try not to slide into Astro Man himself as you avoid the shots coming from the Copy Visions.
