Added a Tool/Item list and a little too large ASCII. Also added a Frog Head
locations list and mini-game section. This is all I know of for this game, so
this is pretty much the final version.

6/26/04 - Version 1.1
Finished Side Quests. Or at least everything that I know of.

6/23/04 - Version 1.0
Walkthrough complete. Will there be more? Maybe.

                             {1.0} Introduction
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Frogger's Journey: The Forgotten Relic is one of the most ditched games of all
video games. It's that which has made me write for this game. It's actually
not too bad though, although it's meant for kids some of the puzzles are a
little difficult and the storyline is cute and fuzzy.

Frogger's grandfather has been missing for two days in search of an ancient
relic. Frogger recieves a letter requesting help, so off he goes. However,
this search turns out to be much more than Frogger has bargained for. He
finds an ancient item called an OPART, and now with it, he must go on several
tasks to save his grandpa and stop an evil weasel.

There are several things you see on your screen. The top left corner are the
hearts. If you lose all 3 lives, you must restart the game at the beginning of
the dungeon.

The middle of the screen displays the number of Curio you have. This if the
currency. Spend it on items and mini-games.

The top right corner displays the abilities for both A and B.

While traveling, you'll find a number of enemies which will make you lose
hearts. Avoid these. You will also find yellow coins on the ground which are
Curio. Vegetables and Fruits give you more health. Frog Heads give you more
health permanently. You can also find money bags. MAKE SURE YOU GET THESE.
These give 20 Curio and are recorded in the credits of the game.

The only way to replenish life is to exit a stage or collect fruit.
Tomato recovers 1 heart.
Banana recovers all hearts.
Rotten Fruit(Blue) will take one heart.

As the game progresses, you can buy pieces of furniture for your grandfather's
house. Try to obtain as many pieces as possible.

Beginner's tips:
1. Talk to everyone in town.

2. Leona is a walking textbook. Talk to her if you have trouble about where
to go next.

3. The library is the actual textbook. If Leona doesn't help you out, go to
the library to talk to the person there and the main librarian. The main
librarian requires a small fee, but the information is usually worth it.

4. Once you obtain more tools for your Opart, go back to previous stages and
try to find some secret rooms. They can get you Frog Heads which are the most
useful things in the game or some other items which are nice to have.

5. This game is very straightforward. You never have to return to stages so
try to find ways to proceed and find new places.

6. Always talk to Mohan! Once he brings in a new item to sell to you replacing
the old one, you can never be the old one again! Try to haggle him for it
though, say no the first time then buy the item.

                              {1.0} Walkthrough
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Watch the beginning scene with Frogger dozing lazily in on his lawn. He wishes
something exiting would happen. Well, of course something happens. He sees an
airplane come crashing down on his front lawn. It seems his grandfather wants
to find him.

Frogger is taken to Kabohti where you finally have control of him. Get used to
the controls and walk straight up the stairs like the pilot told you to. Talk
to the guard there. He will let you pass.

You now enter a more civilized part of the town. Right from the entrance,
there are two buildings. The one to the left is a pub, go there to save. The
on to the right is a Leona's house. Go inside there and talk to her. She will
give you two items, a memo and a keystone. Press select to read the memo. Talk
to Leona again to find out your grandfather has been missing for 2 days at the
dig site. She will tell you to look for him and she left the pass to the dig
site around the house somewhere. Press A on the drawers in the middle of the
room. Now explore the town with insanely large buildings a bit. Make sure you
see the library, store, and Dusty's place. When you're done, head to the
Western part of town to see another guard.

Show the guard the ticket. You will be allowed through. Walk along the path.
You should see a big tree soon. Near that tree is a path to a bear playing an
instrument. Talk to him to play a mini-game. Read the mini-game section for
instructions and tips.

Keep walking along to reach the next screen. Go onto the plateau, down, and
left to see a gate. There will be a scene where an ugly rat dude comes and
says bad things about you and your grandfather. He will depart. The keystone
you held will start to glow. Your will obtain a Round Relic from the
squarish rock.

Go back through the path into town. Find Leona at her house and talk to her.
She will say it is an Opart, something Dr Fin(your grandfather) was searching
for all this time. She then tells you to find Dusty. Here goes more traveling.
Go all the way North of town. Talk to Dusty. He will take your Opart and fix
it up. Then, he expects you to pay for it. Of course, you're bankrupt. He
tells you to go down his basement to the left and obtain his tool box to be
even.

Go through the door. Dusty will help you with the basics of this game on
questionmark panels of the floor. Before you go up though, take a right turn
and go down the staircase. There, you will find 1 Curio as well as some food.
Get the food and one of them will be rotten. This is also where you will land
if you fall down one of the holes. Go back up the ladder.

Go on the questionmark panel, he will explain how to equip and unequip
abilities. Equip your Long Jump from the Opart. Jump over the gap. Walk the
path and learn to turn by pressing the L or R button. Jump over the gap again.
Turn to the right, jump, and grab the toolbox. Before you get out however,
there is a secret passage in Rusty's basement. See that corner on the platform
of the toolbox? The one right near where you jumped over to get to this
platform? Try to walk through the wall and you will find out it's a secret
passage. Go up and get the Frog Head which will be VERY useful as it gives you
one more heart permanently.

Talk to Leona once, she will exclaim that you can now jump the docks. Woopee.
Head out of this town via the South exit. From there, head left to get to the
world map. You should be able to go to the Cave now.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                 (3.1) Cave
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Just a quick note. You can no longer move by holding the directional pad. You
must press it once to move one space. From the entrance, go left to collect
some Curio. Now go up, jump the gap. Go left to jump another gap. Go down to
jump yet another gap. Grab the tomato. Keep going to see a flag like panel.
Touch it. If you fall down a pit and make it across the gray monsters, you
will end up here. Beware of the pink monster, it causes damage to all spaces
around it. Just go towards the very top or very bottom to avoid it as it is
slow moving.

If you fall down a pit, you'll have to go past the gray monsters to get to
the exit. Here's a map:
 _________________________
| ____ O | | O |
| | |\/ | | ____\/| +--------------------------+
|E | | | | | | | | KEY O = Gray monster |
| | | | | | | | | Arrows = where they go|
| ^ |____| | | ^|____| | | E = Exit |
| O | | O | +--------------------------+
| _________| | _ |
| |____________| | | |
| < O >_< O > | | |
|________| |_______| |____|

Avoid the gray monster which travels left and right across the screen. Turn
right and walk across the gray stones which will crumble a little while after
you step on them. DO NOT jump. At the end, turn up and jump. Go across the
pits to find another checkered panel. Step on it and turn up. Jump across the
pits. After crossing the pit with 2 gray stones, you will see a piece of land
with a bird flying around. Jump across, quickly grab the tomato and head onto
the checkered flag.

A few pits away, you'll find a piece of land with every other stone being gray
and breakable. Quickly jump across and onto an unbreakable piece of land.
Think about your move before you do it so you don't fall down a pit. Move up
and onto the safe, blue land. Touch the checkered space. Before you move on
to the top, collect the Curio to the left and right of you, and the tomato.

When you go up, do like what you did before. Jump over gray land quickly while
waiting on safe, red land thinking about your next move. You will soon see a
moving platform. Walk onto it when it comes near. Go up and onto the blue
land. Go to the next room. You aren't allowed to go anywhere else, so collect
the memo. You will be automatically teleported back to Kabohti.

                                   *  *  *

Go straight to Leona's house. Talk to her and she will say that the memo is
by Dr. Fin who writes his notes only in an ancient script. She says she can
decode it with time. In the meanwhile, we must check out the town to see if
anyone has found your grandfather. Go the store in the northwest corner of
town. Talk to the merchant and he will say he sent out Dr. Fin to find a crest
for him at the river and he still might be there. That's all we need to know.
Go back to Leona's house.

She will have decoded Fin's letter. She tells the same thing the merchant did.
She also says that Atiniui can take you there. Go through the South exit of
town back to the docks. He's near a boat. Talk to him and he'll take you up
the river. The catch is you'll have to pay 5 Curio. If you don't have the
money, go back to the cave. Curio should magically have respawned! When you
reach get past the river, you will have to cross a forest. Let's move it!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                 (3.2) River
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Collect 3 Curio and you'll see 2 purple mushrooms dancing clockwise. Just
follow them going clockwise to reach the other path. DO NOT GO TOO FAST. If
you do, you'll fall into the river which will cost one heart. You also can't
jump over the river. Go past two more of these dancing mushrooms to reach a
bridge. Cross it and you will reach a mushroom path. The purple mushrooms
still hurt you. They move very slowly, once in a while.

Jump across to the bridge. You will now see bees. Of course, don't touch them.
Every other line as a bee moving in the opposite direction. Just get onto the
top path with the bee moving left and keep moving left. You should see a
bridge you can jump across too. Rotate to face up and jump. There will be a
new set of bees. Just keep going all the way up, then to the right until you
see a path. Go through and touch the checkered panel. Go either path, they
both lead to the same place. You will see more slow moving purple mushrooms.
Just make your way up. When you can't go up any more, you can take a left
to getsome Curio or right to finish up the path. Go up some more, then left
around the rectangular pieces of land.

You should eventually reach a path where bees are always moving right. Zigzag
among the bees until you can head up. Now is the water portion of the level.
Jump up on the green land. Jump up, then left. Get the tomato, turn up, and
jump.

You should be on the another screen now. Jump across the water after the fish
rolled away. Move up one space, then pause to wait for another fish to cross.
This part will be difficult. Go up and you will see two fish that always roll
to the left, the one on top moving a bit faster than the one on the bottom.
There is also a fish right before then. After the fish at the very bottom
moves, quickly go up on the strip of land where the other two fish roll. As
time elapses, one of the fish will go faster than the other giving you some
space to go in between them when one fish comes by. Get past them and grab an
apple and banana to fully recover health.

Go up and jump. Wait for the fish to roll past then move left. Jump, hurry
left before another fish comes, then move up. Here, wait for a log to come by.
Walk on top of it. If you're coming close to the edge of the screen, see if
you can jump across to the next log. Walking will work too.

After the logs, you should reach a checkpoint. Thank god. Grab a banana if you
need one, but DO NOT take all of them. Jump across a log pit. You will come
across another log pit, but on this one you must jump to get to the first row
of logs. After you get across, cross the bridge with 4 Curio on it. All the
way to the left after the bridge is a banana if you need it. Now go the right
and turn. Jump up, make your way across the small land to get to a big piece
of land. See that cave over there? That's where we want to be.

You should see a little twig in the grass. Go on the row of land right under
it(Not under it, the row of land) and jump across to the small land again.
This time, we are traveling on the small land we couldn't get to before. You
should have reached the cave. Go inside.

Frogger will say that there's a mysterious feeling to the cave. He will then
see something that looks like his Opart. Grab it, then go back to Kabohti.
See Leona again.

                                   *  *  *

Save your game and have a nice chat with Leona to make your problems go away.
She will tell you to find Rusty. So go North to find him and he will install
the relic for 15 Curio. You should have the money unless you're a mini-game
obsess in which you would have to go back to the Cave again to find some
mulah. What would you do with the flashlight? Maybe Leona might know.

BTW, before you leave Rusty's equip the flashlight and get the Frog Head in
the basement if you haven't already. The merchant also doesn't have anything
yet.

Go to her and she will tell you that it will light up parts dark parts of
caves. Wow....that's obvious. Remember the dark part of the cave? Well, we can
obviously go there now. Back to the world map!

There should be a second point on the cave. Go there. You should see a
porcupine spraying out needles. Get past it when it goes above you

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                             (3.3) Cave 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Welcome back. You should be in the room where Frogger found Dr. Fin's letter.
Go in the North exit. You should see a purple porcupine spraying spikes in
all directions. Just wait for it to pass above you and cross over. You should
see another one, pass that too. You should have reached a fork now. Go up to
collect 2 Curio, go down to progress through the stage.

You should see a gray armadillo. This animal will rotate clockwise in a
square. Just wait for it to run pass you then run ahead. You will now reach a
fork. Go down the left path for a tomato. Now go right. You will have to pass
an area full of porcupines, but these do not spray spines. There will also be
another tomato. Keep going along the path. You will reach another fork. Go up
for some Curio, go right to progress. The porcupines here will spray spines,
so be on your guard. You will arrive at an area with two bats flying around.
They fly across the screen, go past them and reach the cave exit. Or what
seems to be an exit.

This part is just one long path until you reach a part with a whole bunch of
spiny porcupines. Continue past them left to reach an area with armadillos.
Animal paradise? There will also be a fork. Take the lower right path for some
Curio and live saving tomato.

After the armadillos, head straight down. There will be a path that allows you
to go right and get 1 Curio, but that's rather useless. Now go past the bats.
Make sure you get a banana! You will now be at a fork. To the north is a dead
end with an en exit blocked with a boulder. South however, leads you to a
memo! All of a sudden, an earthquake happens! Frogger, worried about Leona,
hurries back to Kabohti.

                                   *  *  *

You can't get out of the town now. Go see Leona and hand in the memo. You
should know her routine by now, she needs some time to translate the ancient
script. Go to the library in the meanwhile and talk to the librarian. Pay him
5 Curio for some useless information and go back to Leona. Read the memo. Now
Save and head out of town. You will automatically be sent to the third part of
the caves where you will find a giant bear!

BOSS: BIG UGLY BEAR
-------------------
This part is very difficult. You're supposed to wait around while the bear is
angry(crazy frog...) and avoid all the obstacles. Whatever you do, DO NOT
TOUCH THE BEAR. That's 3 hearts down the drain! Instant kills for those who
didn't get the frog head before. First, the bear sends out bats. These are
easy to avoid, stay on the very western wall. Then, he'll make a cave in.
These rocks chase after you, so just keep moving around in a big circle to
avoid them. The bear will then smack the floor again making some holes in the
ground. Don't step in them or you'll start over at his first attack.

Bats will some in again. Do what you did before, stay on the western wall.
He'll do the cave in again after that. When running, make sure you don't fall
in a hole! The rocks don't move that fast, so don't be afraid to take it easy
a bit.
Now, the bear will make some holes. But he accidently made some right where
he's standing, so he falls down. He drops a relic, which you catch!

                                   *  *  *

You'll be automatically back in Kabohti again. Go see Leona. She says she will
have found a memo of your grandfather. She also unlocked his place, but
there's nothing in it. Anyway, go to Dusty's to install the relic into your
Opart. You'll get to use Mega Claw now! Visit the Library for some more
useless information too.

Now head back to Leona. She should have decoded the memo by now. It seems
Dr. Fin is headed towards the pyramids. But we can't cross the desert. Leona
says the merchant is the only person she knows with a camel, but he wouldn't
part with it.

Head down to his shop. He will say he will give you a camel if you find the
Crest of Poseidon in the River. So it's back there we go.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                            (3.4) River 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Returned to 2 places now, eh? To find the Crest of Poseidon, you must first
talk to the Atiniui(the dude with the boat) again. Cough up 20 Curio to get
to the dangerous side of the river.

The first thing you'll see is s piece of land with a symbol on it. Use the
claw to pull it close. Now jump over it. From there, you can go up the path
with mushrooms to progress or the left path to collect 2 Curio while avoiding
a bee.

From the mushroom path, there should be a checkpoint with a bee circling
around you. This part can be a bit tricky. Jump onto the lilypad and you must
quickly run across them onto the land or they will sink. Cross the lilypad
path to get to 2 checkpoints. On dry land again, there should be one path
going straight up. It'll split soon into two several smaller paths. Most just
lead to you to Curio, the one on the left has a banana if you need it.

Continue heading straight up. You'll find a bee pit. Cross that to reach a
checkpoint. There are now two paths, one at the top and one in the middle. The
middle path leads to a Curio and tomato guarded by a bee. The top continues.
You should have crossed two mushroom pairs dancing around in circles, right?
Now there should be two paths, one going down and one going right. The right
path leads to a tomato. Going down will take you to 3 mushrooms dancing
counterclockwise. Jump down onto the lilypad to get to a tomato. If you
dislike lilypads, skip it though unless you desperately need it.

Continue on the left pad to reach a checkpoint guarded by a bee. Below that
is another lilypad path. Get the apple on the land, and prepare for some more
jumping. Keep your finger on the L button though as this part will require
some turning.

Reach another checkpoint. The jumping is *still* not over. Finish the last
few lilypads to get back onto dry land, thank god. Well actually, this is just
here to fool you. Go down to reach a checkpoint, but that's all that's there.
Go back up and jump the lilypads. grab the apple if you need it. Keep going
to reach another checkpoint on land with a banana. Jump over the lilypads to
get onto dry land. Yes, no more lilypads. There will be two paths, but one is
blocked. Go up to find your Crest of Poseidon! You'll be teleported back to
Kabohti.

                                   *  *  *

Go talk to the merchant. He will automatically take you to the pyramids.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                               (3.5) Pyramids
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

At the start of the pyramids, you'll see that this is quite a different
atmosphere. Instead of one large map, you must go through doors. There's also
a sand wave nearby. There are no checkpoints in this area. If you fall down
a pit, you will come across a square donut-like room. Go down and right to
get to a circlular checkpoint like thing that will teleport you back to the
room which you fell down.

Start the level by going straight up and through the door. Collect all the
Curio and move on to the next room. There will be several beetles here and
locked doors. Just avoid them and go down into the next room. The beetles
randomly become faster so move quickly!

Go left to where the beetle is moving around. Follow it to the bottom left
corner where you can jump across. Use the claw to pull the block closer to you
so you can jump over it. On this land, follow the beetle again until you reach
the top of the square. Turn and pull the block closer with the claw. Jump and
turn right. Jump onto the next piece of land. Jump across to reach the next
room.

There will be many sand waves here. These are easy to cross. Get on each wave
going in a direction other than yours so you won't fall off the screen. Exit
to the next room.

This room will have strange poles coming out of them. Walk onto every other
space and wait for them to go by. Go around the bend and jump across to the
other stripe of land. Continue forward against more poles and go around
another bend. Jump across the empty spaces to move on to the next room. The
next room is just like the last, treat it the same way. Onto the next room!

This room has more sandwaves. Get on the first one and face up. When it's
about to end, jump forward onto the next wave. From there, turn left. Jump on
the next one when it's about to end. Turn left and jump onto the next. Run
down and grab the tomato, then keep facing left. Jump onto then next wave when
you can. From here, you must immediately jump up, then left. Follow this wave
to get a tomato, then run down fast and jump onto the next wave. Run against
then one and turn right, jumping to the wave. This one has rotten fruit on it,
don't get it. Turn left and jump onto the final wave before land. Onto the
next room.

Oh my, the daylight. Go up onto the next level. In this room, there are two
tomatoes. Get them. Jump onto the land to the left side. Run around with the
scorpians until you are able to jump to the land right in front of you. Turn
right and jump when there are no scorpians near by. There are two wider spaces
for you to jump in between instead of the small ones, so get on those. Run
around and turn to jump to the next room.

Here, turn left and run past the beetles. Avoid the rotten fruit. Turn around
the corner and go back. Avoid the scorpians when they come by and you'll meet
more beetles. Avoid them and more scorpians. These just rotate in circles so
they should be easy to get by.

This room has sand waves. Get the tomato and Curio and jump up twice. Grab the
rotten fruit(you have to :() and keep going left. Jump down, run down and go
left. Turn right and jump up. Get the banana. Quickly go up against the wave,
turn left and jump. Turn down, then jump towards the next one. Turn left, and
hop twice. Now turn left, hop over the last two waves. Finally, you can get
out of the floor!

Go on towards the next floor, the top of the pyramid. The first part is easy,
jump over the gaps and avoid the beetles. Get past the poles and make sure you
get the tomato. You'll now face a new obstacle, fire breathing snake statues.
Get past two sand waves with poles to get to the next room.

You'll find a relic! You'll automatically exit.

                                   *  *  *

What? Kabohti is all stormy! Go into town and you'll see Mohan the merchant.
It seems he is hiding something according to Leona. We have to search for some
clues. You can't get your Opart upgraded yet, so go to the Library. Talk to
the librarian and he will say that a Leviathan's weakness is its head. Talk to
Mohan now and he'll explain what's really going on. Go talk to Atiniui for a
free ride up the river to face your second boss. Whee.

BOSS: LEVIATHAN
---------------
Leviathan is a relatively easy boss which just requires some timing. It will
never attack you unless you stay still. When it does, just keep running and it
will disappear. Leviathan always moves at the left, the only way of damaging
him is by using the claw on the spiky fruit above it. The fruit must hit any
part of his body. If you get to the fruit before Leviathan does, walk up and
down until he gets there. If you miss, that's ok, keep moving until the next
one. Grab any tomato that's in your way. Hit him 3 times to defeat him. He'll
cough up a memo!

                                   *  *  *

Go back to Kabohti to see the storm is gone. Talk to Leona to give her the
memo. Now go to Rusty's to get your Opart upgraded. Install the relic for 25
Curio. Go back to Leona's to see that Dr. Fin is headed for Atlantis, but
that's supposed to be a legend. Where do we go now? Well, before you do make
sure you buy that Frog Head off of Mohan.

Go see Atiniui. He'll take you to Atlantis for 30 Curio(He must be getting
rich off of us...)

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                               (3.6) Atlantis
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Start by going down. Each lobster attacks twice. Wait for them to finish, then
move across them. Going down the path will get you to a big fish. Some of you
recognize it from the mini-game. Get past it, then some more and go up.
Teleport to the next room.

All there is on this room is a bunch of fish and a tomato. No biggie. They are
insanely easy to get by compared to the pyramids. Teleport to the next level.

On this room, take the teleport SOUTH of where you came from. There should be
a lobster guarding the teleporter. Now take the first teleporter which you
see, guarded by the slimy thingamajig. Here, take the teleporter at the very
top of the room. At this room, you have no choice but to take a hit. Go
straight up through the fish. After that, get a tomato and skip the first
teleporter that you see. Instead, go up and a scene will start with Frogger
and the pool his grandfather was talking about.

Get the relic first at the top of the room. Since Frogger can't swim(...)
you'll be sent back to Kabohti. Now that was a short level.

                                   *  *  *

Get your Opart upgraded. That's all we need here. You'll get Time Stop.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                              (3.7) Pyramids 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Go the the pyramids. Go right to see the sand wave we couldn't get through
before. Use Time Stop to get through. You are now in Pyramids 2 territory! Go
in the room on the first floor. Break the two stone doors with your Rock
Buster to get to the next room.

This part is dark, so equip the flashlight to light up the area. Jump up, then
turn right. Get to the large piece of land with a tomato on it. Now jump down
and turn left. Get past the checkerboard-like land onto land with a tomato on
it. Finish the winding path to get to the next room.

This part is annoying. Jump down onto the moving block when it comes near you
and turn left. Get on the block BEFORE it gets to you. It you move while the
blocks are connected, it will be too late and you will fall. Turn right and
jump on the fragile rock. Quickly move off it. Collect the bag for 20 Curio.
Next room please.

Go down here to find a lot of Curio. Go back and jump onto the sand wave. Walk
against it, turn down and jump a couple of time. Make sure you avoid the
rotten fruit. Turn left and prepare for some more jumping. Turn up and jump
on the sand wave. Wait a while for the wave to go all the way up, then jump
across. Fight your way down, then turn left and jump. Make your way past the
last few waves to get to the next room.

This room is also dark. Equip the flashlight and go down the snake statues.
Go around the bend for some more statues. Jump across the gap and break the
stone doors. Go up and jump across the fragile stones. Go down and break some
more doors. Go down into the next room.

Jump all the way across the fragile stones. Switch to the claw and use it to
pull the gray tiles in. Now break the stone door and make your way across the
snake statues to get to the next room.

Here, make sure you go down and use the claw to collect the money bag. The go
up on the platform and use the claw to pull the block closer to you. Jump
across onto the sand wave. Jump right onto the next one. Face right and wait
for it to reach near the end of the wave. Jump onto the next, then the another
right in front of you. Go up and jump onto the other sand wave. Turn down and
claw the block. Jump onto it, then go right. Eat the rotten fruit :( and go
down the path. Turn right and jump twice across the small sand waves. Turn
right and use the claw to bring the block closer. Jump right onto the block,
then up.

Wow, this is a really long room. Turn up and jump onto the fragile block. DO
THIS FAST. Pull the block closer and jump on. Press the buttons before the
action to pull this off the fastest. Get the tomato if you need it(you
probably do because of all that rotten fruit...), turn up and jump. Did you
think the fragile rock jumping was hard before? Well, we have to do it again
so good luck! Jump, turn up, claw the block down and jump. Now turn left and
use the claw again. Jump, turn down, claw. Now do the same thing turning left,
and up, then we get out of this amazingly long and hard room.

Finally, the level's finished! Grab the relic and head your way back to
Kabohti.

                                   *  *  *

Go straight to Dusty to get your Opart upgraded. You'll recieve push blocks
which allows you to *GASP* push blocks! Go outside and Frogger will see three
shadows. You'll get mugged. Turn back to Rusty and talk to him. He'll say they
are the three lotus ninjas. Don't touch them or you'll go into Hyper Hop!

Before you go searching for them, you may want to stop by the Merchant's. He
can sell you a sofa if you've got some money. Say no to him once to drop the
price down to only 100 Curio. The sofa will get delivered to your
grandfather's.

Go to the Town House. They will say that you may be able to find them in the
Northern Ridge by flying. If you need to fly, then you must ask...

Go to the docks. Talk to the bird who flew you here at the docks(Griffith) and
he will take you there for free unlike that cheap dude who took you to the
river.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                         (3.8) Black Lotus Hideout
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

This stage is special. In a bad way. Any enemy you touch here will send you
into Hyper Hop which can send you flying into a pit. The pit is also hard to
navigate out without getting hit. The enemies are mighty fast. Remember the
spider's webs stop only at those tough gray rocks. It's very important not to
get hit here or you will surely fly into a pit. This is the most annoying
stage. What's worst is that you can't use any ability!

Go up to see two spiders spraying web at you. Avoid these or it'll send you
into Hyper Hop which is super annoying. If you're hit, make sure you get the
pear at the top right corner of the room. Go on to the next room. This room
just has a bunch of fast moving platforms, easy to pass.

This room has a bunch of enemies. Avoid the spider in the hole and follow
the ninja spider things clockwise. Avoid another spider to get out of the
room.

This room's spiders only move in one direction. Go right, and wait for the
spiders to be up and left. Now go down, around and cross the metal platforms
quickly so you don't fall.

This part only has one spider. Just go up around the corner and wait for the
moving platform to come. Step on it and it will circle around the gray block.
Get off the other side. Now do the same thing here except quickly moving along
the metal floor. Now you face the many Hyper Hopping spiders. They all move
in a certain pattern. Just follow them in that pattern. Now you'll see some
crazy looking ninjas. I hate these. Avoid the spiders while moving around the
ninjas to get to the other side. If you get hit, just run there while you're
invincible. Now for the moving blocks. These should be easy, they're just a
litle fast. Avoid the spider and go around the corner repeating what you did.
Get the tomato and leave the room.

Here, to the right there will be strange green kite things coming out of the
the wall. Avoid one, go up avoiding the spider attack, aroundm and down. Now
get past two more spiders to see more green kites. Avoid them and exit right.
This room has a useful banana and a bunch of Curio in which you will need
later. Trust me. Go back. The rest of this room is easy, just go slowly and
follow the path.

Now THIS room is a bit more difficult. The spiders form a rectangle. There are
two small openings, two large ones. Sound familiar? Run as fast as you can
once the you get into a large opening. Go around the entire rectangle to get
to the open space. Go fast through the metal panels. Get two tomatoes if you
need them, then continue down along the path of green kite ninjas. They
alternate with one open space between each one, so go slowly and wait at each
open space. Now proceed into the next room.

Like the last, this room starts out with two ninjas going left with one space
between them. Get past them easily. Now here's something different. Two ninjas
now come out at a time. Run past and go around the empty space. Get past two
ninjas, then there will be two more. One row has one ninja coming out one at
a time, the other has 2 ninjas coming out at a time. After them, you will have
to get past a large row of moving panels. Remember, walk on them before the
panel goes in line with you. If you feel confident about your moving panel
skills, drop off top to get 2 money bags. Otherwise, drop off to the bottom
one panel. Go around the ninjas to exit. BTW, the space the ninja comes out of
is not an exit.

This room starts out with two needed tomatoes. Go up for Curio. This part is
hard. The next section of the room has a bunch of spiders. They move along a
distinct pattern, but it is very hard to see when there's a large space you
can walk through. If you get hit with Hyper Hop, just run out of that section.
Here, go around the winding path avoiding the spider and ninjas. You should
know how to cross them by now. Exit.

Get the money bag and follow the path. The spider will move around in a small
square, so follow it to move on. Then there are simple moving panels. Just
pass them and exit the room.

In this room, move fast down the metal panels, but not so fast that you just
hop off the edge. Turn left and do the same. Keep moving in this room as it
is filled with these metal panels. Then end has just a few moving panels.
Easy peasy. Get past them to the end of the stage!

You'll see a cutscene where the two ninjas who stole your Opart said that the
job is half done. Wonder what that means? Let's head over to the walking
textbook in Kabohti.

                                   *  *  *

Visit Leona for a cutscene. She will say it's all her fault. But what is? She
won't say and just leave you hanging. Talk to Rusty twice. Go to the desert,
but make sure you save first. It's time to face its boss.

BOSS: SPHINX
------------
Before going to the desert, Mohan will come and give you some good advice.
That's nice Mohan. Equip your Push Blocks and Time Stop. This boss is very
hard and annoying. It starts off with two sphynxes(sp?). Stand near the block.
The moment one is about to charge at you and you're near the block, use Time
Freeze. Push the block quickly in front of the sphynx. The sphynx should hurt
its head. Do this 3 times to kill one sphynx.

Make sure you don't push the block RIGHT in front of its head or the block
won't move. Not sure why. Once one sphynx is dead, tornadoes will appear.
The cover either the entire length, or the entire width of the room. Hide
behind the row/column of the cube to avoid it. MAKE SURE THE SPHYNX DOESN'T
HIT WHILE YOU'RE HIDING. Avoiding is pretty useful. The sphynx will also now
go either left or right or up and down only depending on the way the tornado
blows. It fakes you out at times too. Stay in front of the sphynx for a second
to make sure it's not faking a charge, but move quickly afterwards!

Stop using Time Stop whenever you don't need it anymore. That way you won't
wait as long for it to recharge. Walking around makes it recharge faster as
well.

One you defeat the sphynx, you'll get nothing. Great.

                                   *  *  *

You'll be teleported back to Leona's house. She said she was at the dig site.
Wonderful. She says the Black Lotus Society may be after her bracelet, so
she'll give it to Frogger thinking it'll be safer with him. Go to Rusty to
have the Opart upgraded for some Curio. Also, Mohan is selling a bed if you
need it. However, it's 200 Curio. Can you even afford that much? If you can't
that's no problem. There's a way to get rich very fast, a tip that Mohan
himself gives you. Read the pyramids section in Side Quests.

Anyway, upgrading the Opart now allows you to swim underwater. So head back
to the second part of Atlantis.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                              (3.9) Atlantis 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Here we start at Atlantis again. Equip Scuba before diving down into the
water. You're going to go a lot slower in water, so don't hurry too much. Once
you're there, go down avoiding the lobster. If you take a look down, there
should be a locked door. Keep this in mind, we'll be coming back here later.
Turn right and go past the flowers. Make sure you're not on them when they're
closing. Go up and avoid the little fishies. Turn right so you won't reach a
dead end. You should see two fish circling around a stalagmite. Follow them
around to collect two tomatoes and continue on. Along the path should be
several more fish. Avoid them and press the switch.

Go back to the beginning of the stage. Remember the locked door? It should be
open now. Past the door should be some flowers and a tomato. Keep going to
see several slimy blobs and several locked door. Get the banana and move up
when you can. You should see 3 Curio and another banana. I doubt you need
another one already, but get it if you need it. Swim up left along with the
fish and then go up avoiding the flowers and seeing another locked door.

There should be more fish. These fish swim in the opposite direction of the
fish next to them. Avoid them and keep going for a banana and another switch.
Now, for the shortcut: Press Start, and go to Restart Stage. You should be
at the beginning of the stage again. That's good. Go down past the lobster
again and where the door was. Go right and down the first unlocked door before
the slime. There should be an apple there. Go right past the flower and step
on the switch. Go past the flower, go up. Go right towards the end of the
route and there should have been another unlocked door down.

Go through there and head all the way down. Don't go right unless you wish to
automatically die.

Congradulations, you've already finished the stage! Thank god it was short,
walking underwater was annoying. Grab your relic and run.

                                   *  *  *

As usual, you'll be teleported back to the world map. Go to Kabohti and talk
to Leona. Wow...Leona was from Atlantis. She says the old relic is junk. Of
course it is when it's not installed on an Opart says Dusty. Head to him and
install shield. Talk to Leona again and she will ask you to free Atlantis of
the giant blob that invaded it. Well, heads up, that means another boss fight.
Go back to the World Map to automatically fight it.

BOSS: BLOB
----------
This boss is annoying as heck. For this boss, you only need your newest
weapon, shield. Wait for the blob to start blowing the green blobs. No use
shield and bounce them back at him. Make sure it doesn't hit you from behind
though! Sounds easy? The more times you hit him, the faster the next wave of
bubbles go. One a bubble hits you, the rest disappears taking your chance of
damaging Blob.

It will also only blow bubbles when you're at a distance when it is low in
life. After you hit it, Blob will chase you down very quickly. Move out of his
way as fast as you can. Whenever Blob hits you with his body, it takes 2
hearts.

Once you defeat the boss, you get an anchor. How swell.

                                   *  *  *

Back to Kabohti. Talk to Leona, and she'll be happy. She says she is worried
about what Eric is doing though. You don't know who Eric is? Remember at the
beginning of the game, the strange weasel who threatened you before you got
your Opart? That's who we're talking about. Go to the Rusty first. Get your
Mega Claw upgraded to a Grappling Hook. Now go to the Town House. Talk to the
man in there to find out that you can get to Eric's mansion by air. Talk to
Griffith at the Dock to get there.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                            (3.10) Eric's Mansion
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

First thing to do here is to equip the Grappling Hook. Use it on the hook
Frogger points out to get in. Go in and rob his Curio. Turn left.

This is the unique thing about this stage. There are always several exits out
of a room. If you choose the wrong one, you will start over at where the exits
were, assuming you went through the puzzle. If you choose the right exit, you
will progress.

There are two exits in this room. Take the left one. Jump across the gaps and
DO NOT fall in as it is very hard to come back out. After you jump the gaps,
you'll be in a hallway. Talk the left path. This time, the panels will all be
broken so you'll have to think very fast. If you manage to get to a broken
tile, think of your next moves before jumping and where to jump.

When you get out of there, go all the along the gigantic hallway. Again, take
the exit all the way at the end of the hallway. This room is dark. If you look
closely, you can see unlit blocks that you can pull with your grappling hook.
The rest of this puzzle is self-forward.

In this room, choose the exit at the very top path. If you hated the part in
the pyramids where you had to jump on a fragile block, turn, then mega claw
the block and jump in less than a second, you'll hate this even more. Race
the flame left. Go down, run again left and then up twice to avoid the fragile
stone. Race another flame left, then down. This time, you'll go against the
flame. Equip the shield and slowly, taking litte baby steps at a time, make it
to the fragile stone in which you race across. Keep going against the flames.
Hopefully you have more than 1 heart left because you have to jump to the
other side and run left without getting hit by the very quick, incoming
flames.

When you make it out, get some tomatoes if you need them. Take the right exit.
We've had movable blocks, flames and jumping; what's left? Of course, moving
blocks. Even the first one is an ass to get on. Jump right, then walk onto the
next. Turn up, then jump on that one. You need extreme luck to make this. Or
you could be extremely skillful, but that's kind of sad being really skillful
at something like jumping blocks ;) This next one is glitchy. It seems like
you can walk onto it, but whenever you do, the game forces you back. Strange.
Jump onto it. Turn down, walk on to the block. Now turn left for the final
one. Walk up and Exit.

You can be sure that the toughest room will always be the right exit. Here,
go all the way up and turn right. There will be strange machines here. When
you get near one, they start up and go around in circles. Just wait for them
to go past you, these are pretty easy to get by.

Now there are FOUR exits you can take. Take the second one from the bottom.
These are the last obstacles you'll face. Just get around the bots to the
exit. If you have more than 4 life, just run to the exit getting hurt :)
Collect the Relic?

                                   *  *  *

Back to the World Map. Hmm...it seems Leona is missing. Where could she have
gone? Anyway, head to Dusty's. He'll install the different relic for free. OK,
now I know something must be up. He doesn't even know what it does. Talk to
Rusty again to ask where Leona has gone. He doesn't know but thinks it is the
Black Lotus Society. Go to the World Map and you'll be forced to go there.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                         (3.11) Black Lotus Hideout 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Watch the cool scene. Now you can only use Push Blocks and Long Jump. To get
upstairs, go around the block and push it from the right. That was easy, next
please! This room is very straight forward. Just push the blocks to open the
path. Just don't push the last block all the way down. Heh heh, this level is
so easy. If you ever mess up, just leave the floor and come back again.

This room has a pit. Gasp. Don't fall in(how could you?) or you'll have to
face the Hyper Hopping spider maniacs again. Push the block down once, then
right. Now you can jump across and get to the next floor.

On this level, push the top block all the way to the left and down into the
pit. Push the bottom block up, left, and right on top of the block you pushed
into the pit. Push it into the pit so it lands in front of the exit.

The next floor is exactly the same. No joke. It's just mirror image :o The
next floor is easy, push the block left once, push the other block off the
platform and walk across. Don't jump though, the game is trying to trick you
into thinking the puzzle's already done for you. I'm starting to feel like
Kwirk.

Next floor. Push the top block so it is right in line with the other on the
left side. Push it to the right so you can push the block on the panel down.
Jump over.

On this floor, push the first block you see down once, then all the way left
to the wall, then down. Push the block on the panel down so you can exit.

Oh my god, can this actually be?? A challenge? Push the very bottom block
right. Now go into the second to last row that you can access and push that
block right. Now turn down and push it along so it's on top of the very last
brick. Go around back and onto the last row. Push that block right. You have
started your pathway of blocks. Go to the top rows and push all those blocks
down and right continuing the path. Now jump across to the exit.

Another difficult puzzle. Push the three blocks on the left side of when you
enter to the left. That should have plugged in some holes, but LEAVE THE ONE
ON THE VERY RIGHT. Now you can jump down on the very left. You should be at
the second row of blocks. Push all of those right. Now go back up to the first
row. The second column from the left should have no holes in it. Push the
remaining block on the first row left onto that column, then down. Jump to the
left side of the block and push it all the way right, then down. Now you can
push all the blocks on the last row left to make your way to the exit.

Go along the left wall all the way down. You should see a clump of two blocks
together, a block right next to a hole, and a block next to an immovable
block. Push the block next to the immovable block down, then right into the
hole. Now push the block in front of you all the way right into that hole.
Now go back to the two blocks right next to each other. Push the block on the
left side down into the hole. Leave the other one. Now go to the top. There
should be two blocks with one space in between them. Push the one on the left
side right and down into the hole. Push the one on the right on top of the
other block, but DO NOT PUSH IT INTO THE HOLE.

Go back and around to the bottom wall. You should be able to jump back to
where the block on top of the other block was. Now push it left. You should
be able to push the other block from before now. Push that once left, down 4
times, then all the way right to connect the bridge to the exit.

In this room, push all the blocks on the left side left and into the pit
EXCEPT the third one down from the top. Go on the bottom wall nearest to where
you pushed the blocks left. Take a step left so you can push the block there
up once. Now you can push the block you didn't push before(third one down)
right, then down into that pit. There should be two blocks left on the right
side of the room now. Go to the bottom wall and walk right along it. Jump a
space so you are below the block on the right. Push it up ONCE. Now push the
block that was on the left side left twice, up three times so that it is next
to the immovable block. Now push the block left, then all the way up. Go
around to the other side and push it left into the pit.

Now for the last block on the right side. On the bottom wall again, jump the
space, walk up once. Now move right, turn up and jump. Push the block down.
Go back around and push it left. Now do what you did to the other block that
was there. It should connect you to the very left wall. Push all the blocks
there down so you can get to the exit.

This level is so long...X( Anyway, to start the puzzle, go on the left wall.
Push the block on the third row right once. Now push the block above you up
once. Go up, then right. Push the block right once. Take a step right and push
the block above you all the way up. Without moving any blocks, go around and
push it into the pit. OK, from where you are, take 2 steps down, and two steps
left pushing the block. There should be a block directly underneath you. Go
around and push it all the way up, then all the way right into the pit. From
where you are, take 5 steps left and 2 steps down. Push the block to the
right. Go around and push that block all the way up and all the way right so
you can get to the exit.

In this room, push the middle block nearest to the top wall down until it
touches the other block. Now go right and push the block there right once.
From where you're standing, go right one step and down once. Push the block
there down. Now take a step down once and a step left. Push that block once
left. From there, take a step left once and go all the way down pushing the
block into the pit. Now go down once and push the block to your right all the
way right. There should be a block above you. Push that up once. go around the
immovable block to push the block right once. Now go right once, up twice,
and left twice. Push the block down 3 times until it is aligned with the other
block you pushed all the way right. Now push the block you just moved left
into the pit. Push the block in your way left to make your bridge to the exit.

I'll bet you'll be happy to hear that this is the last room, and it's mad
easy. You'll see blocks lined up like this:

[4]
   [3]
[1]
   [2]

Push the one marked 1 up. Push the one marked two all the way down, same with
3. No push 1 right once, and push that down and right to cover the hole, same
thing with 4. Cross over to see two blocks to the right. Push the one on the
bottom right. Go up and around the to other side. Push the block on top left,
now push it all the way up into the pit. Get to the exit and cheer for
clearing the longest level yet!

Watch the scene. Time for a Boss. Already.

BOSS: SQUIRREL
--------------
Hopefully, you have some good eyes because you'll need them here. The squirrel
will hide under a bowl and the bowl will move. Press the button to find the
real squirrel. That's it. Easy, ain't it? No real tips for this one, it just
takes some luck and practice.

                                   *  *  *

You are teleported back to the World Map. Go to Kabohti and look for Rusty.
But he's not there! Wonder what happened? Go back to the World Map for the
second part of Eric's Mansion. Go to Mohan too for a Tee-Vee, make sure you
don't haggle him though and have enough money.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                           (3.12) Eric's Mansion 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

What a double-crossing freak...we pay him! Times are hard, yeah right. This
is going to be the toughest stage yet. Yes, harder than the Black Lotus
Hideout. You'll have to make use of everything you have to clear this. Anyway,
after watching the scene, equip Scuba and dive down. There will be several
fish swimming around in circles. Get past all of them, this should be simple.
You will come across a block. Push it left. Go up and you will meet a stone
wall. Use the Rock Buster. Go past the fish getting the tomato if you need
it. Go up past two more fish to come across another stone wall. Rock Buster
it again and go into the next room.

Each of the fish here have a different pattern. Wacth each one closely. If
you're a bit low in life, don't hesitate to use Time Stop. Next room!

Get the very handy tomatoes here. Equip Shield. Go right in line of the green
fire and use the shield. Go slowly. Time Stop won't freeze these. Just mash
down and turn quickly to shield. Exit to the next room.

You're finally out of the water here. Jump across the gap to see a ton of
cracked tiles. Great. Time for quick thinking. Along the way, there are also
things in which you turn, grappling hook, then jump, so make sure you equip
the Grappling Hook. After that there are moving platforms. These are an ass
too and seem near impossible to jump. Try to jump when your block is moving
towards the other block and the other block is moving towards you. Now you'll
have to face those robot things. These are much easier than the rest. They
fly around in a pattern, just know the pattern and you should be able to get
past them. Grab any tomato nearby if you can. After the robots, there should
be a hook nearby. Use the Grappling Hook. Now there should be a quick robot.
Time Stop and break the rock to get to the stairs.

On this floor, use the Grappling Hook to pull the block closer to you. Jump
onto the platform with two robots on them. Face right on the most bottom of
the platform and use the Grappling Hook. Turn down, use Time Stop again to
freeze the robots. Use the Grappling Hook on the bottom right corner. Push
the block down and turn right. On the fragile gray rocks, quickly turn right
and use the Grappling Hook to get across. Jump the gap and equip both the
shield and Grappling Hook. Use the Shield to block the fire and quickly use
the Grappling Hook to get across. Do this again and turn down. Now turn down
and equip the Long Jump.

Quickly turn left and jump across several gaps. Turn up and jump. Turn right
and jump after two spurts of fire went by. Use the shield and jump across.
Now to the section with the robots. Follow them around to the hole. Jump down
and equip the flashlight.

Avoid the robot and go down. Push the block down once and avoid the fire.
Run down and avoid another jet of fire. Get onto the moving block and turn
down. Equip Long Jump and jump across. Turn right and use the Hook. Jump
across, turn up and break the rock with Rock Buster. On the row with the
block, there should be a block that you can pull with the Grappling Hook.
You don't have to pull it, but you get a tomato this way. Back to the small
strip of land. At the very top, turn right. You can't see it, but there's a
hook across the gap. Use the Grappling Hook. Exit the room.

This is a relatively short room, thank goodness. just pull the blocks with
the Grappling Hook and get across the room.

Watch the scene. Free the folks and head back to Kabohti.

                                   *  *  *

Go to Leona and Dusty's place. Nobody is there. Then they must be searching
for Eric. Go West into the Dig Site. BTW, if you want to play Catch Your Own
Fish again, you can. Anyway, go to where you broke the rock to find Opart.
Both people will be there and the other Opart was taken. Go through the door.
Now, it's time for the final bosses! That's right, bosses. Hopefully you have
a lot of life.

BOSS: RUSTY
-----------
Dr. Fin pretty much explained the entire thing. The robots run on circuits of
its own color. When it reaches the X Spot, step on the switch of the color
and the robot will fuse out. Do that to all three. It's just a matter of
avoiding the bot. If there's no bot there, you could just stand on the switch
if you want.
After you destroy the first three, Rusty will make 6 more bots, 2 on each
color circuit. It will be a bit tougher for you to avoid the bots this time.
Just stand on a switch. If any bot comes nearby, get off the switch just to
avoid the bot.

After you destroy all the bots, Rusty will have a beating from Eric. Now the
real boss fight begins.

FINAL BOSS: ERIC
----------------
If you look around, the entire border of the screen has a barrier. Don't touch
this or the magma rocks lying around. Side scrolling will start. Just keep
moving with the screen. When the screen stops, Eric will start moving around
in his chair. Avoid him at all costs, he takes two hearts instead of one when
he hits you. After he stops, go in the column of where Eric was. Stand there
facing up. Eric will fire a beam of energy DBZ style. Use Shield to bounce it
straight back at him. He's too stupid to move so just move up to the middle
of the screen while the beam's slowly firing back.

Eric will be hurt. Now the screen will be a bit faster. Fire his beams back
2 more times to win. It can actually be easy if luck is with you and there
is a straight path through the rocks.

Watch the ending. Congratulations, you beat the game!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                              {4.0} Side Quests
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

There are several things in the game which are optional for you to get. But
most of these things enhance your game play and makes the game easier. Here's
a listing of side quests I know of in this game.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                 (4.1) Cave
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

You must have the Mega Claw to do this. After the first tomato near the pit,
you should see a movable block. Use the Mega Claw to pull it closer. Collect
all the coins. This is just a money bank, but there's more to the cave. Exit.

After the second checkpoint, to the left there should be another movable
block. Use Mega Claw and jump across. Collect the TONS of money bags(should
be about 200 Curio) and get the End Table. This has nothing in it sadly.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                (4.2) Cave 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Right near the exit, there should be another path up. The path will be blocked
by a boulder. Use Rock Buster to bust it open and walk through. Go down and
right taking the top path of the fork. This path just goes around in a circle
so don't worry about missing anything down below. Each one of the paths
branching to the top has money bags. Get them for a swell 60 Curio. Don't exit
yet though! At the left side of the circular path, if you look carefully there
should be a dimly lit path that you can only see with the flashlight. Go
through here for more rooms!

Collect all the Curio here. Now go on to the next room. All of these little
branches has some Curio. Not as much as other rooms, but still some. If you
check out all the branches, you should see a chest containing a lamp.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                 (4.3) River
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Make sure you're equipped with the Grappling Hook. On the second screen of
when water first appears, there should be a stick nearby. Use the Grappling
Hook on it to pull you onto land. There should be several money bags laying
around. Go in the previous screen to get even more Curio.

Now another place is the end of the stage, right near the cave. Behind the
cave, you should see another stick leading to the other side of the river.
Use the Grappling Hook to get there. Collect the money bag and move on to the
next screen up above. Collect the money bags on both sides of the screen.
You should see two peninsulas. To the right, there are a couple of coins if
you want them, but nothing important. On the left one, you can continue on
the path. If you see two paths, take either one of them. They'll both lead you
to the same place.

You should have landed on a big dark green area filled with dancing purple
mushrooms. Past them are more logs. On the last log, you must jump to get on
the land. Watch out for the rolling pufferfish. Go on the checkpoint. More
log fun. Jump all of them to reach a giant green lilypad. Continue on with
more logs. Follow the logs right to reach another green lilypad. Finally, you
will reach solid land if you jump logs just one more time. Get the 2 money
bags, Curio, and the chest containing a Frog Head and one more life up.

There's more that you can do in the River. Once you get the Scuba, at the
beginning of the level take a step back onto the wooden log and jump straight
into the water on the right. Collect the 4 money bags. Move up north to where
the four fish are. They are moving clockwise, so jump inbetween them and move
along to the exit.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                (4.4) River 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

You must have Rock Buster for this Side Quest. Near the end of the stage,
there should be a weird rock thing to your left before exiting. Use Rock Break
on this. You should now be at a checkpoint. Turn down and jump on the dull
yellow lilypads. Follow the entire long path to obtain a Refrigerator. To
exit, jump right. Follow the path onto land. These paths should take to places
filled with money bags and more Curio than any other non-sidequest parts of
stages. The end of the path should bring you back to the World Map.

Go back to Kabohti. Go to Dr. Fin's house and check out the frige. Inside
should be a Frog Head!

There's also another place you can go here. Once you get the Grappling Hook,
go to the second checkpoint. Go on the lilypads South and onto another piece
of land containing a Frog Head.

Like in the first stage of river, you can jump into the river here when
equipped with Scuba to find four money bags. Above, there are four fish moving
counterclockwise. Jump inbetween them and head for the exit.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                (4.5) Pyramids
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Go into the second room of the pyramids. There should be a door you could
break there. Break it and collect all the Curio. Push the blocks for even more
Curio. Think that's it? Push the block and go into the next room for 4 BAGS
OF CURIO. Wow. There's also one last thing. Jump down the pit in that room.
There will be a treasure chest in the middle of the room. Move around the
scorpians and get it to recieve Time Sand! Go North of the chest and push the
block out of the way to get back to the World Map.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                               (4.6) Pyramids 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

You must have Push Blocks for this. In the room where Sand Waves first started
to appear, there will be a block in to the left. Use Push Blocks is push the
block and go to the next room. There will be a large chain of fragile rocks.
Ready to run? Whip out your Mega Claw/Grappling Hook also for the next jump.
After clearing this, go to the next room. Break the stone door with Rock
Buster. Drop down the pit and equip your flashlight. Go around the entire
edge for more than 100 Curio then straight through the middle for more money.
Now go up the stairs and out of here.

This room just has some moving blocks, nothing interesting. Equip your Long
Jump and jump the blocks.

The next few rooms will be dark again, so equip Flashlight. Sand Waves are
back in this room. Don't get any of the Rotten Fruit and use Time Stop if you
really need it. Go through another room of sandwaves to be bathed in light
again.

This room also has many money bags. Use Grappling Hook/Mega Claw to get them
all.

This room is dark again, but it's similar to the other room you visited that
was all dark and had money bags along the edges. Make sure you get the
treasure chest containing a Frog Head at the middle of the top wall. This
isn't the end of the stage yet!

In this room, just get past all the Sand Waves. They're an easy bunch, just
don't get any Rotten Fruit. Don't forget the handy dandy Time Stop. Go to the
next room.

It's light again! Anyway, equip the Long Jump and Grappling Hook. Grab the
tomato to your right and move onto the fragile rocks. This is the final room.
Just jump along all the rocks. If you see any money bags along the way, grab
them if you can. If you can't spare the life, just move on. Exit to the World
Map.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                               (4.7) Atlantis
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Near the end of the level, instead of going up there will be a path left that
is blocked by a block. Use the Push Blocks to the push it away and you can
have access to the portal.

Here, take the portal that's all the way to the top. Before you do though,
scout the room for the money bags.

In this room, there's just one straight path. Get the money bags and take the
teleporter that's at the very end of the path guarded by a fish. Now in the
next room, take the down path. DO NOT go out to the World Map. Go on the
teleporter even though it's not guarded. There will be a chest. Grab the
Hermes' Sandals and scram. (Back to World Map)

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                              (4.7) Atlantis 2
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Have shield and goto the end of the level. Instead of going down into the
World Map again, take the path to the right. You'll see little green bursts
coming out from somewhere. Equip shield and go past that. Try not to get hit
though as those nasty things take away 3 hearts. After getting past that,
take the left path. you'll find a money bag in one of the little branches to
the left. At the very top of the path, you should be able to go left. There
will be a switch there. Step on it and go back to where you came from after
the green fire spurts. Take the right path this time(either one will work,
they both lead to the same place) and go to the next section.

Here, go up and left. Grab the money bag below and avoid the flowers and
lobster. There will be another switch. Step on it and go all the way right.
Go up and collect all the coins. Now continue left. Avoid all the fish and
continue up. There will be a money bag and a few lobsters. Go past the giant
lobster and a couple of flowers to get to a cave which you can't go through.

Soon, you will get to a room filled with green slime. On the right edge, there
will be a switch. Step on it and go all the way back to the room with a bunch
of pillars and coins. On the top right corner, you can go through and find a
money bag, coins, and a treasure chest containing a Frog Head.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                          (4.8) Black Lotus Hideout
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Once you can use your Opart properly again, go back to the second room with
metal tiles. After crossing them, go up and there will be some dim blocks that
will light up when you pull them with your Mega Claw/Grappling Hook. Jump
across to get some Curio. Go into the next room up there.

In this room, go up and cross the moving tiles. Get the treasure chest too,
you can't miss it. It contains a Jukebox. Just cross the easy moving tiles to
the next room.

Here we see more metal tiles. Get past all of them to go to the next room.
Easy peasy.

This room is a combination of moving tiles and metal tiles. First, jump across
fast past the moving tiles. Now go left onto the moving tile. Turn left and
walk on. Equip Long Jump and jump onto the metal tile. Quickly tap R to turn
up and jump again safely on a wooden tile. This part can be a bit difficult.
If you want, you can go around the blocks to get a hard-to-get money bag.
Anyway, when the moving block hits the top wall, move up, turn, and jump
immediately. Now jump across getting the money bad to move on.

The first thing you do here is to go on the metal tile, turn right, and jump.
Now walk on the moving tile. The rest should be easy, just keep jumping them
tiles.

Go to the bottom of the platform in the new room. There should be a thing
sticking out where you can stand and wait for the moving platform to reach
you. Make sure you grab the money bags at the bottom of the screen. After the
jumping onto the moving tile right next to the metal tile, you'll see more
moving tiles that lead across the screen. Get the money bags on both sides.
Now get onto solid land that leads back to the World Map.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                             {5.0} Item/Tool List
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Tools:
------

+-----------------+
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 4 | 0 | 5 |
| 6 | 7 | 8 |
+-----------------+

0. The Opart symbol. You can't use it.

1. Long Jump
This allows you to jump long distances. Easily the most used and important
tool in the entire game. You can only jump one space though.

2. Flashlight
A very useless tool in most parts of the game. This lights up dark parts of
caves and also dimly lights secret passages in several stages.

3. Mega Claw/Grappling Hook
The Mega Claw can pull blocks towards you. The blocks that are pullable will
show the direction that they can be pulled. The Mega Claw also gets items from
a distance. The Grappling Hook is the upgraded version of the Mega Claw which
you get near the end of the game. This can do everything the Mega Claw can.
It has longer reach and you can pull yourself onto hooks and poles.

4. Rock Buster
This busts rocks. No matter what kind, if they are in your way, smash 'em.

5. Time Stop
This is very helpful. It stops all enemies for a limited amount of time. Look
at the top bar to see how much time you have left. It also stops sand waves
from moving. If you are having trouble getting someplace without getting hurt
by enemies, use this.

6. Push Blocks
This...pushes blocks. Any kind of square block that looks different from the
ones around it is pushable. If you push it into a pit, you can walk on top
of it. You can only push blocks though, not pull them so don't push the blocks
into a corner.

7. Scuba
Allows you to move underwater. Equip it first before you go under or you will
lose a health. Frogger can't swim, even though it's supposed to be instinct
from a tadpole.

8. Shield
This stops/deflects any projectile that comes your way. Not very useful for
most of the game, but it's vital to complete it.

Items:
------
1. Site Pass
Allows you to go into the dig site. You still can't go later in the game
anyway. You're forced to have this.

2. Hermes' Sandals
Makes you walk faster while in Kabohti. Handy. Find it in Atlantis after you
get the Push Blocks. Read the Side Quest section for details.

3. Time Sand
Recharges Time Stop much faster.

4. Keystone
Has mystical powers?

5. Jukebox
Recieve it from a sidequest in Black Lotus Society. Give it to the pub to play
some music.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                          (5.1) Frog Head Locations
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

As most people know, Frog Heads are the most important things in the game.
Each one of these increase your maximum hearts by 1, permanently. However,
most of these are in hard-to-get places. They count towards the scores in the
credits and make the game much easier. Here's a quick list of where each
of the heads I know of is located.

1. Rusty's Basement
On the platform with the Tool Box, there should be a small space where you
first jump onto the platform. Keep going left into the wall and you will find
a secret passage that will lead you to a Frog Head. If you have trouble seeing
the Frog Head, return with a Flashlight.

2. River
Once you have the Grappling Hook, go to very end of the stage and use it on
the branch across the river. Follow the Side Quest for instructions on how to
get to the chest.

3. Dr. Fin's Refrigerator
In the River 2 stage, follow the side quest instructions and you will get to
a Refrigerator. It belongs in your grandfather's house so go back to Kabohti
and check it. Inside it will be a Frog Head.(LOL, a head in the frige XD)

4. Pyramids 2
Once you get Push Blocks, go to Pyramids 2. Follow the Side Quest instructions
to get to some secret rooms. One of the rooms has a chest which contains a
Frog Head!

5. Atlantis 2
Near the end of the second exit(Side Quest instructions once again...) there
will be some coins and a chest. Inside that chest is a Frog Head.

6. Mohan
Right after you defeat Leviathan, talk to Mohan to buy it off him for 100
Curio, 50 if you haggled.

7. River 2
Follow the River 2 instructions in the Side Quest section.

If you know the locations of the other Frog Heads, PLEASE E-mail me.

                          {6.0} Catch Your Own Fish
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

There is one mini-game that you can play in the game. It's called Catch Your
Own Fish, and what you do is catch your own fish! Amazing isn't it?

To play this mini-game, you must have access to the Dig Site West of Kabohti.
In the first screen before the actualy Dig Site, there will be a small path
through the tree where you will see bear playing some music. Talk to him to
start the game.

You can earn Curio from this game if you get really good, but it's not really
worth it. The more Curio you pay, the more you get back/earn. 0 Curio gets
you nothing.

Intructions:
There are several fish around the screen. When they get to the shadow of the
fish at the top of the screen(you can move it around by pressing the
directional pad) press A just as the entire fish covers the shadow. The shadow
must be facing the same directions as the real fish. You get several grades
for your effort: Marvelous, Perfect, Great, Good, Almost, and Boo. Usually
though, you only get money for Marvelous and a little for Perfect.

                                  {7.0} FAQ
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Q: How long is this game?
A: Depends on how fast you play it and how good you are at puzzles. For me,
it took around 6 hours.

Q: I don't have enough Curio to buy that 999 Curio thing from Mohan!
A: That item takes time. I would do sidequests as they usually get you a lot
of money bags. Of you could just go inside certain stages to collect Curio,
exit, then do it again.

Q: I can't beat a boss!
A: If you followed each of the tips in this FAQ carefully
and still can't get it, then you just need practice. Don't worry, keep trying
and you'll do it eventually.

Q: Where can I find a RO-
A: No.

Q: Are sidequests necessary?
A: No. But most of them are very useful.

Q: Can I haggle Mohan the merchant?
A: Sure. Just say no the first time and usually he'll lower the price of his
merchandise by a lot.

Q: I can't get on that moving block in the second part of Eric's Mansion!
A: It's really glitchy. If you walk onto it, it forces you back. You have to
have the block you're on move back a space so you can jump over onto it. That
just makes the game a bit more challenging I guess.
