o==============================================================================o

I was playing Final Fantasy V the other day and realised that I had never played
Final Fantasy 3. So I stopped and went and found the ROM for 3 on the DS. When
downloading it I then had an idea to write a walkthrough for all the games,
starting from the first one. So I decided to do that. Anyone who thinks that
it means that I've stopped on Final Fantasy V is wrong, I'm Going to alternate
which guide gets updated. That means that the same versions for both Final
Fantasy I and V will be released at basically the same time.

Like I said, I decided to write this after starting a walkthrough on Final
Fatasy V. But another reason that I wanted to write one is because the game is
such an enjoyable one. It's a really basic game, and is one of the shortest
games in the Final Fantasy series. But thats not the reason why I enjoy it so
much. The reason is simple. It the game that saved Square from going bust,
just look up the history of it.

Again, I'll try not to spoil the game for you. But I'll have to tell you boss
name and loctaions so that we know where we are going, who we're going to see
and whos ass we're kicking.

o==============================================================================o

Again it's another terrible controls section, which I will eventually update
when I can actually bothered

o==============================================================================o

If you've had a look at my Final Fantasy V walkthrough then you'll notice that
I like to have sub-sections in the main part of the guide. In this one I'll
split it up into the prologue, the individual crystals and the final dungeon.

o==============================================================================o
|                                 The Prologue                        [030100]|
o==============================================================================o

For some reason this section seems to take up the most amount of time in the
game, it seems to take up about 1/3 of the the game time. Which is about 6-7
hours of the game.

Now before you start you must make an important choice, what is going to be in
party? This is important because if you make the wrong choice your going to be
stuck with it for the rest of the game. I suggest that you use this set up for
you first play through the game:

o===========o
|Warrior    |
|Monk       |
|White Mage |
|Black Mage |
o===========o

So choose your job classes and name your characters, then begin the game that
changed video game history!

o==============================================================================o
|                                   Cornelia                           [030101]|
o==============================================================================o
|Enemies      |Treasure |
o-------------o---------o
|Goblin       |
|Goblin Guard |
|Wolf         |
|Crazy Horse  |
o=============o

That seems to be the shortest Intro movie that I've ever seen for a Final
Fantasy game. Ok so here we are stood outside of some city. But before we
enter it, we should gain a level or two, so get them levels up! Once your about
to die, go into the city and heal.

OK so if your a FF vet, then you should know the drill in cities, Weapons,
armour, magic, items and heal. You should also know what sort of stats you like
each character to have, so keep that in mind. Magic will also be known to you
so you shouldn't have a problem there. But for any newbies, I'll tell you what
to get for the set-up I suggested.

Weapons:
Rapier - Warrior
Nunchacku - Monk
Hammer - White Mage
Staff - Black Mage (Buy or take this of your White Mage)

Armour
Chain Mail - Warrior
Leather Armour - Monk

White Magic:
Cure
Dia
Protect

Black Magic:
Fire
Thunder
Focus (Or sleep, but status magic really works)

ok so now that we are all suited up and ready to fight some more, go heal up at
at the Inn. Now try to leave the city. When you do you'll see a guard blocking
the way, talk to him and he'll take you to the king.

Ahhhh, so thats why the intro was so short. After that cutscene go out and
train up a bit more. You should be able to last longer with the better
equipment that you have now.

Now that you've gained a few levels you should be ready to go into the Chaos
shrine and kick some ass. A recommendation is to have all your characters on
at least Lvl 4 before you try to take the dungeon on.

O==============================================================================o
|                                  Chaos Shrine                        [030102]|
o==============================================================================o
|Enemies     |Treasures   |
o============o============o
|Skeleton    |Leather Cap |
|Warg Wolf   |Potion      |
|Wolf        |Tent        |
|Gigas Worm  o============o
|Zombie      |
|Ghoul       |
|Black Widow |
|Werewolf    |
o============o

To get to the Chaos Shrine, head north west from Cornelia. On your way up you
should see a cave. Keep this cave in you memories, as we'll be visting it later
on.

As you can see, there are quite a few enemies in this dungeon. THey are also
stronger than what we have already been fighting on the world map, which means
that they will also be giving you more experience, if you want it that is.

In the south-western corner there is a 'Leather Cap', which should be equiped to
your weakest character, most likely to be your black mage. In the north-western
corner you will find a 'Tent' and a 'Potion'. When your ready to face the boss,
go outside and use the tent to fully heal yourself and save then save the game.

When you've fully headled up and saved, head into the center room of the Shrine
to find Garland

o===========================================o
|                   Garland                 |
o===========================================o
|F7, M7, W7, B7 |HP: 212 |ATK: 15 |DEF: 8   |
o---------------o--------o--------o---------o
|Drops: Longsword                           |
o-------------------------------------------o
|The very first boss of the Final Fantasy |
|Series, and he's piss easy. All I had to |
|do to defeat him was to use my Warrior and |
|and Monks Physical attacks, my White Mages |
|protect white magic and my Black Mages Fire|
|black magic and I won in two turns. Wow, |
|Isn't that easy for the first boss ever in |
|the series?                                |

|                                    Cornelia                          [030103]|
o==============================================================================o

Some how you've been magically teleported back to the castle. Yay, no boring
walk on the world map!!! Anyway after a cutscene talk to the princess that you
just rescued and you'll get a 'Lute' of her, which is need later on to finish
of the game.

When you leave town you'll be treated to another cutscene. Heal up and make
that you have all of the equipment and magic that I mentioned earlier on. now
head towards the bridage that has just been created. You'll be treated to a
massive section that you need to read. After that you'v completed the prologue,
well done, now begins the longest part of the game, the first crystal.

o==============================================================================o

o==============================================================================o

For some reason this section seems to take up the most amount of time in the
game, it seems to take up about 1/3 of the the game time. Which is about 6-7
hours of the game. Or maybe it just feels like that to me.

Anyway in the next update I will cover the first half of how to get to the earth
crystal, since it feels like such a long section to me.
