By Mykas0

BE SURE TO READ THIS FIRST PART! You can read this faq as long as you
don't change ANY part of it (including this small introduction). Also,
you can print it but only for use at your home, you may NEVER sell
this stuff or else you will make me really mad and maybe I won't work
anymore! Finally, if you want to use this faq on your site (or use
any party of it for other things, like writing your own faq or something)
you have to mail me and ask me for it, I will almost surely grant it to
you! =)

Also, I must warn you that this faq is full of small spoilers, so if
you don't want the game spoiled for you, just don't read it! If you are
just interested in a specific level (or item, or something else...) just
use the search function on your program (usually can be used by pressing
CTRL+F) and input there the number of the section you wanna see!

0. Introduction

So much time after the final of this series in Japan, they released this
game. Despite some japanese magazines said that it wasn't very good, I'm
really sure that fans from the series will worship this game, as it has
lots and lots of secret things you can unlock, and most of them were
NEVER seen before in this type of games!
This faq was first made for the japanese version of the game, but some
slight things seem to have changed in the european version of the game.
So, sorry if some things seem now to be quite inaccurate, but I've tried
my best...

1. Getting Started

First, input the game on your console and start it, as you normally would.
If you are playing on an emulator just do whatever you would do with any
game, and make your way up to the main menu. "Press Start" (or A) and you
will be taken to the place with 3 save slots. Select any of them and you
will be given between 3 choices, those are the difficulty level. For this
faq I just used the default option (the first that you seen on that
screen), so don't worry about it... Then, you will have 4 options:

story                   Battle
Multiplayer             Options

So, for following this faq just pick "Story Mode", I will give more
information about the other sections later on!

2. Story Mode Walkthrough

Ok, you just picked the "Story" mode option, so relax a bit and watch some
of the story, with Goku meeting Bulma. Now, the game will be finally
really started. You will get to face 3 different types of levels, but I
will reffer the controls to all of them when it gets the time for it. So,
here the controls will be:
- LEFT and RIGHT move Goku, but if you push Left or Right twice, he will
run;

- A makes Goku jump;

- If you press and hold A in the middle of a jump, Goku will hover;

_ B makes Goku attack. You can press it more times for a combo, or press
UP + B to deflect bullets;

- Pressing UP + B while in the air lets you knock back any bombs thrown
at you;

- L will (by now) be used to perform a special attack, in which Goku will
use his stick to attack many enemies that are on the screen;

- "Wall Jump" can be performed by jumping into a wall and pressing the
opposite direction+A (at the same time!);

- Combo with power pod can be peformed by pressing L, it will require 1 ki
bar and will make a 6 hit combo into everyone on screen;

- Small Ki attack can be performed by pressing and holding R, it will
require between 1 and 2 ki bars to perform;

- Small ki attack (now reaching a longer distance) can be performed by
pressing and holding R, but this having between 2 and 3 ki bars;

- Small Kamehameha can be performed by pressing and holding R, having this
time between 3 and 4 ki bars;

- Kamehameha can be performed by pressing R, and it will require all the 4
ki bars to perform;

- R and then L (with R pressed) will make Goku use his special move, in
which he deals huge damage to an enemy. However, this is better used only
on boss battles, since most enemies can be defeated easily without using
this... Also, if you leave R pressed until the ki bar is full in the red
color, you will perform the special attack finishing with a stronger final
attack, in which the final attack will be one of the 4 attacks I tell you
above.

Now, for the first level:

2.1 Goku's House
-> Items found around here:
--- Dragon Radar (item number 6)

Well, you are now near Goku and Gohan's (well, Goku's grandfather) house.
Start moving right until you see an enemy, and you can defeat him easily.
Keep moving right until you see a "!" sign, and you will need to defeat
3 or 4 ground enemies and a flying dinosaur (somehow looks like a purple
pteranodon...), which may cause you some trouble. Just jump, hit him 3
times and you will be able to continue to the right. Next you will find a
mountain, climb it (jumping from platform to platform) and enter the door
to find an hamburguer, which will restore your health. Now, out of the
door and continue right, but be careful with the flying dinosaurs. When
you reach the white bridge, be ready for another "!" and defeat more
ground enemies, then proceed to the right in order to continue to the next
section, then keep on going right, where you will find a hole in the
ground, plus a flying enemy and 2 (if I remember correctly...) ground
enemies, just use the same strategy as before and then continue to the
right until you find a red spot with a certain command (UP + A), just
perform it in that spot and your stick will grow larger, and you can use
this to get the hamburger in the left and then going to the top of the
cliff in the right, and proceed quickly to a "!" point with some (easy)
ground enemies and 2 flying yellow dinosaurs, that are taking bombs with
them. As before, jump and hit them, but try to be careful so that you
won't be hit the bombs, then right again, as you may imagine... In the
next section you will find a red door, but you can't open it, so just
don't think about it now and continue walking up to the yellow bridge,
where you will need to be careful not to fall in the holes. Again, near a
mountain you will find another "!" point, which is exactly like the last
one you faced. Continue right, and to the next section, and keep on going
for another easy "!" point. Then, continuing will take you to another
door, which has the "Dragon Radar" item (item number 6). Get it and go
right for another "!" with yellow wolves, flying dinosaurs with bombs and
ground enemies. When you finished it, be sure to check the left side of
the top cliff for a chicken, which restores more of your life bar.
Continue right, up to another "!" point with lots of enemies (no flying
dinosaurs, fortunately!) and the end of this level, in which you will
find the turtle being attacked by a strong enemy, which turns out to be
your first Boss Battle!

2.1.1 Bear Thief (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- Flying Nimbus (item number 4)

He is quite easily defeated, just be careful with his sword attack in the
ground, since it's shockwave continues and it may hit you for some damage.
When he uses this, jump (so that it won't hit you) and attack him with a
combo. Then, retreat to as far as you can and he will perform that attack
again, so you can go to him, perform a combo, retreat, and so on, until
he is defeated. Easy, no? =)

Now, you will in Master Roshi's island, with the turtle and all that,and
you will receive the magical cloud (Item number 4). And for the first
time, you will be in the world map, but that doesn't matter now... Just
move to the point north of your current location (which turns out to be
a city) and enter it...

2.2 Oolong's Quest
-> Items found around here:
--- none

You'll see Oolong in the city, and he will transform into a bat and run
away, but... SURPRISE, THIS IS A WHOLE NEW TYPE OF LEVEL! You will be
controlling Goku on top of his Magical Cloud... You will need to hit the
bat, while dodging (or, even better, killing) the purple flying dinosaurs.
There isn't much thing I can help you with, but try attacking the bat
with as many combos as you can, and as quickly as possible. After having
less half of his health bar, Oolong will transform from a bat into a
missile, so your strategy will have to *somehow* change... Put yourself
side by side with it, and hit him. Be careful, since if you go to the back
of it, it will speed up and hit you, but if you are in front of it, he
will turn into a thing which cause you a lot of damage, so (as I already
said) just stick to being side by side with him and hit him quickly. At
the end, he will turn back into his normal form and fall to the ground.

Now, after a small conversation you will be back to the world map, so just
move north...

2.3 Yamcha (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Hum, appears that Puar and Yamcha are here to fight you, this time.
However, none of them are given much importante in this game. Puar will
just throw bombs at you when he sees Yamcha in trouble, and it won't cause
 you much damage, but maybe you should be careful with him anyway. Yamcha
isn't very strong, but his special attack (its translated name is Wolf
Fang Fist or something...) is quite good, as it lands more than 10 hits...
so, how do you know he is going to perform it? Easy! He will stop, and a
small purple shadow will be seen behing him for around 1 second. When that
happens, be ready for his attack, and when he is coming just be sure to
jump over him. After doing that, just land near him and use a couple
combos. Sometimes he can block attacks, but he doesn't seem to do that
often, so it isn't a real problem... He also seems to throw missiles at
you, but that is easily dodged, so you don't need to worry about it. So,
what you mainly need to do is... go to him and attack him with as many
combos as you want (if you are having trouble with him, use the R+L move I
told you about at the beggining of the first level), then if he seems to
be preparing his special attack, dodge it and then continue attacking.
After a while, you will win. Also, you can kick Puar's bomb back with an
Up+B attack, and that seems to cause a fair ammount of damage! :D

Then, you will see a scene with Bulma using the bunny suit (like in
Playboy -_-''' ) and then you will be back to the world map... So, just
move right to the place with the huge flame...

2.4 Frypan Mountain
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Hey, it's Ox King! (Or whatever his name is...) And Master Roshi will
use his Kamehameha technique to get rid of the fire, so you know what is
coming next, no? When you start controlling Goku, just press R until the
 bar on the lower left corner of the screen gets totally red. Then,
release the button to perform a Kamehameha-like special move. Ok, from now
on you will be able to perform that special attack, by making exactly the
same thing that you just did.

Now, watch another cutscene and you will be back to the world map, where
you can move south to Pilaf's Palace!

2.5 Pilaf's Palace
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Skill Water (item number 7)

This is going to be the most complex level in the entire game, so be
careful about it! After the cutscene, start moving to the right, obviously
 avoiding the spikes. When if you find a camera, you can go go up/left to
get an hamburguer (inside the door). Then, proceed to the right up to a
point where a giant ball will fall in the platform above you. Let it go in
your front (or else you would be smashed -_- ) and then proceeed to the
right, until you get the first "!" point for this level. After defeating
the enemies and the robots proceed and, after going to a place above your
current location, go left to get another hamburguer. Then, right to
another "!" spot with lots of black dogs and the continue... You will see
a life on top of a platform above you, you can get it by jumping into the
wall and then RIGHT+A to jump from one wall to the other. Then, right up
to the next screen. Keep onto the right, you will find a capsule that will
increase the lenght of your stick (item number 7). Then, continue for
another "!" spot. Somehow in front of you, you can find a set of 5 rocks,
which I am gonna call the "Rock point".

This point is really important, since if you choose to go down (of right)
will let you get different items. So, if you are wanting to get all the
items (for unlocking more things...), you'll need to replay this level
choose the other path. So, I will make a faq for both the paths, but don't
forget that you will need to play both paths for all the items!

2.5.1 Going down, on the Rock point
-> Items found around here:
--- Bunny Costume (item number 12)
-- Super Warrior's Water (item number 13)

Ok, just break the rocks and head down... Going left will give you an
extra life and take you to a "!" point, so if you want just go there and
then proceed to the right, as usual. You will see another giant ball
following you (this time, there is no way to avoid it...), so proceed
QUICKLY to the right (avoid confronting the enemy...), break rocks and
jump to the platform, so that you can be saved. Then, continue as usual to
another "!" point and onto the next screen. When you reach the place with
a hole in the ground be careful, since some giant balls will fall from the
top of the screen there. Avoid them and proceed all to the right for
another hamburguer, return to the left and go up some small platforms,
near the point with the UP+A red area. Here, use that point to go as up as
you can and then go right (left if you want another hamburguer), fall from
that place and stick all to right for a getting a door, where another life
and some robots are expecting you. Return to the place with the red point,
and from there head ALL to the left. This may be somehow hard, but use
that technique to jump from one wall to the other and go up in that place
to get a door, which will take you to a place with Bulma's Bunny ears item
(item number 12). Then, out from the door and right up to the point with
the camera, go up in the platforms there and all to the right, use the red
spot for getting a door with an item that will completely heal you. Then,
return to this last red spot, and from there head up and to the left.
Always continue to the left, defeating the enemies and getting another "!"
point. Then, just follow the path up to the next screen. Proceed and
follow the path for another "!" battle, and continue going until you can
choose from two paths, go all the way left (NOT DOWN!) for another life,
then go down and left for another place with a giant ball (avoid it, as
before...), but be careful, since after this first ball there will be an
hole, and at that point another ball will fall! Run, jump to the platform
at the end and proceed to the left. You will find a point with an item
that raises or your energy (item number 13), but then some red robots will
fall and you will have another "!" sequence. Be careful with these, since
when destroyed they will start flashing and blow up, causing you A LOT OF
DAMAGE (trust me, it's really a lot!). After that, just go left and
proceed on that path, up to the point with the spikes and the red robot.
Defeat him (being careful with this type of robot, as usual) and keep
fighting your way on that path (DON'T FALL FROM THE PLATFORMS!) up to
another "!" point. Then, proceed to the left for another "!", and keep on
going for a chicken and the end of the level and a boss battle.

2.5.2 Shu and Pilaf (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

If you are wondering (and if I remember correctly...), Shu is the ninja
dog (in the big robot) and Pilaf is in the small one. I suggest you first
take care of Pilaf, as he has less life than Shu and he also causes you
minor damage. So, just avoid Shu and try hitting Pilaf with combos, but be
careful since sometimes he can block your attacks and counter you, for a
really small ammount of damage. When he seems to have an "aura" around him
and starts jumping, just avoid him, and when he lands attack him again, he
will finally be down in no time. Now, as for Shu... his main attacks are
jumping to the air and fall on top of you (easily dodged, just avoid his
shadow on the ground) and shooting flames from the tail of his robot, and
when he seems to be preparing that attack (he will be stopped and a small
flame can be seens in his tail, just move to the way that he ISN'T
looking, and keep attacking him from that place. Just to make the battle
even easier, use the L+R special move twice on him, that will cause him a
lot of damage and make your task easier. When you have caused him enough
damage, he will start jumping more and you can just avoid him as before,
but be sure to attack him as soon as he reaches the ground. In a while,
you will have this easy battle finished!

Now, watch the cutscene with Oolong getting the girls' panties (hum...
nevermind -_-'''' ) and then a new path to Master Roshi's house will open
up. If you are want to get all items just replay this level and this time
go right on the Rock Point, that's what I made. If you aren't interested
in the items, just proceed to section 2.6 .

2.5.3 Going right, on the Rock point
-> Items found around here:
--- Puar (item number 53)

Ok, just replay up the last level up to this point, and then turn right on
it. Go up and right for another life, then return here and go down and
right. following that path for another "!" battle. Then, always continue
following that path up to a "!" battle, and keep going until the next
screen. Here, go all to the right and then head up, right for a temporary
invencibility item and then all to the left for another hamburguer. Now,
return to the middle and go up and (and finally right) for the path, up to
a "!" battle. Proceed up to the point with the really large hole in the
ground, and there turn left, but be careful with the giant ball. Here, you
will have to run all the way to the left, or else Goku will just be
smashed by the balls. After doing this 4 times (if I remember
correctly...), you will be able to go up, so do it and the turn
(obviously) right. Defeat the blacks dogs and fall in the hole (don't go
up YET), and continue on that path up to a point that will remind you of
"rock point". There, go all the way up (jumping on the walls when
required) and at the end go left for a "!" and a door, with Puar (item
number 53) capsule in it. Then, return to the top and see what's in your
right... Some breakable rocks, right? You can use your kamehameha there,
but just do whatever you want, but destroy them (may require several
up/down trips...) and follow that path for a chicken. Then, go all the
way down and break 2 rocks on the right, fall on the hole and you will
return to the place with lots of giant balls. Just do all the way as
before, but this time go up to the next screen... Seems familiar, no?
X_X'''' Now, just follow all the way to the boss battle, and defeat them
as before... for having all the items in this really huge level!

Now, return to Master Roshi's house for a whole new level, where you will
meet Krillin.

2.6 Master Roshi's Training
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Life Water (item number 1)
--- Turtle Rock (item number 45)

Cutscene, and so on... This is an easy level, just go all the way to the
right, don't even kill enemies, and you will be fine. Be sure to get the
item that increses your life (an easily-noticed door in the middle of the
level, if you are wondering that is item number 1...) and then keep on
going until you reach the next screen set. Here, just keep going until an
easy "!", right will take you to one of those (not important now...) red
doors, so just continue walking up to the next screen in the right. Cross
the bridge, and then go up the mountain for a hamburguer, then keep on
going right until you find another bridge, but be careful with the holes
in it, and then at the end you will find another item...

After the cutscene with Krillin, make all your way back, which won't be a
problem, I guess...

2.6.1 Going Back...
-> Items found around here:
--- Roshi's Glasses (item number 17)

When if find a place with some mountains and a group of 6 breakable
stones, just be sure to check the top of the mountains for the Master
Roshi's glasses item. Then, keep on going left and onto the next screen.
Once again you will get to see the red door, but that isn't important now,
as you may already know. Next screen... dodge the enemies, jump from place
to place, and you will see another red door, continue walking (or better,
running!) up to a point with lots of spikes that rise at the same time...
Be sure to avoid them, but on the top of the left mountain you will also
find a chicken and, in the breakable stones nearby, another life. Keep
going for reaching the next screen, and after another cutscene you will
have a fight with Krillin...

2.6.2 Krillin (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Hum, this may turn out to be difficult if you don't know what to do...
First, if you have a low life bar, just loose on purpose, so that you
regain the entire life and energy bars. Krillin has some different
attacks, but the most powerful ones are the one in which he puts his legs
in a 90 angle and goes left and right (cause you some damage) but he also
has an attack in which he throws you to the air and then hit you back to
the ground, for a lot of damage. So, what you need to do in this battle
is... First, use the L+R combo TWICE when Krillin is in the ground, for A
LOT of damage. Now, when Krillin seems to be performing the first attack I
said below, jump above him. As for the second one, just don't stay quiet
and he won't be able to do it... So, now just finish him off with some
combos, I don't think it will be very hard...

After the cutscene, you will face your first mini-game...

2.6.3 Rock mini game
-> Items found around here:
--- none

After the cutscene, you will face your first mini-game... Ok, this is
really easy... When you see a "!" appearing on the ground, that means that
a rock will fall in that place, so just move to another place (you don't
need to, since you don't have a health bar now, but it looks better like
this, LOL). Then, break 10 of the big rocks, and the mini-game will be
finished.

Another cutscene, and then for a couple of training battles with Krillin.

2.6.4 Training with Krillin
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This will be a couple of battles in which you will need to do specific
things to advance to the next one. Here goes what you will have to do:

- First battle, just start hitting Krillin until you make a 3 hit combo.
  Then, the battle will be finished.

- Second battle, block some of Krillin's attacks, by pressing LEFT (if
  you are on the left side of the screen). After blocking 2 or 3 of them,
  the battle will be finished.

- Third battle, just hit Krillin for some damage, the battle will then be
  finished.

- Forth battle, start making a combo and press RIGHT (if you are in the
  left side of te screen...), Krillin will be thrown to the top of the
  screen and you will follow him, just hit him 3 times (4? I don't
  remember) from the top of the screen to throw him to the ground, and
  then the battle will be finished.

Another cutscene, and then this section will be finished, and after being
taken to the world map, just go to the right into a place you will surely
recognise, if you are familiar with the series...

2.7 21st Tenkaichi Budokai
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Now you will need to make your way up to the finals, just like what
happened in the anime...

2.7.1 Goku against Giran
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This is a really easy battle, just use what you learned in the training
matches with Krillin and everything will go just fine. Mainly, the
technique of throwing an enemy to the air and then make him hit the ground
is quite good, but anything else will be fine!

Cutscene, and then a fight with...

2.7.2 Goku against Nam
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Nam! He isn't very strong, but he surely moves a lot more than your
previous opponent. Just use the same technique that I told you about
before and everything will go just fine!

Now, cutscene and then the finals, with...

2.7.3 Goku against Juckie Chun
-> Items found around here:
--- Jackie's Wig (item number 37)

This time you could think it would be an harder battle, but it isn't! Just
be sure to be extremely careful with your opponent's ki bar, as he will
use them to perform a super powerful Kamehameha wave that will cause you a
really amazing ammount of damage... Apart from that, just use the same
technique that you used in the last opponents, and at the end everything
will go just fine, despite that he has a health bar twice as large as he
normally would...

At the end, you will receive Juckie Chun's wig (item number 37) and then
you will find yourself on the world map, where you will go north for the
next level.

2.8 Muscle Tower
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Warrior's Water (item number 14)

After the cutscene with the girl and the introduction to the Red Ribbon
army, you will find yourself in the first level of the tower. Just make
your way to the right (as usual), you will see a red door but just ignore
it and continue, but just don't forget to the get the ki capsule (item
number 14) on top of a blue closet and also you will get a "!" scene.
Then, proceed to the top of the stairs and another "!", then go left...
defeat some of the flying cameras, as sometimes they can annoy you, and
you will find another "!", just beat it and go up the stairs in the left
to reach the new screen. Break the box for a turkey, and then proceed to
the right for a boss battle...

2.8.1 Lt. Metallic (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This turns out to be quite easy, if you know what to do. Just stay away
from the boss and recharge your ki bar for using the best kamehameha
attack you can use by now, and be sure to use it to hit the enemy from a
long distance, mainly on his weak point, which turns out to be his head...
He can also shoot a missle from his mouth, so be careful and dodge it
quickly. If he approaches you, just run away and continue use your
kamehameha waves, after a while he will just blow up and you have defeated
him, easily!

Now, proceed to the right, but... HAVE EXTREMELY CAUTION, since the
destroyed robot will still shoot his hand at you, causing you some damage,
so be ready to jump above it (or trying, at least! :P).

2.8.2 Second Part of the level
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Skill Water (item number 8)

Continue climbing the stairs, break the box and go left for a capsule that
has an item that increases your pole lenght (item number 8). Then, return
to the place with the box and go left until the place with 2 boxes, where
you will find a "!" point with lots of flying cameras. Then, keep on going
left but be careful with the first 2 boxes, since one of them has an
explosive red robot. Then you will find another 2 boxes and a "!" point.
Another 2 boxes, a "!" point and up the stairs. Break the box for an item
that will fully heal you, and then go right for another boss battle.

2.8.3 Purple Ninja (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This boss battle is somehow hard to evalute for helping you, since the
opponent has lots of different attacks. You can deflect the ninja stars by
attacking them with your pole. Also, sometimes he will disappear and
appear on top of you, and go down for hitting you with his sword... Try
dodging that, but sometimes it may be difficult... Just don't use
kamehameha, or he will surely do this and hit you. Also, sometimes he will
disguise himself (I only saw him doing it as a rock, but maybe he has more
disguises, like in the series...), at that time it is safe to use your
kamehameha, which will deal him a quite good ammount of damage. Being
careful with all this, try keep on hitting him and eventually you will
win. Now, go left and you will see something even worse, 5 Purple Ninjas!
Now, how can you take care of them? Just try reaching the left (or right)
side of the screen, powerup your kamehameha and use it... some of them may
dodge it, but others will take it at full power, meaning that they will be
heavily damaged. Keep on repeating this, up to when only 2 or 3 of them
are still alive, and then just finish them off as you did with the Purple
Ninja you faced just before... Now, go right and up the stairs...

2.8.4 Third Part of the level
-> Items found around here:
--- Sasanishiki Sword (item number 30)

At the end of the stairs, go left and keep on going. The first (and
second) groupd of two boxes don't contain anything, so continue left, get
the chicken and defeat the "!" point with lots of silver robots, then
proceed and go up the stairs. At the end, turn left for an item (item
number 30) and a red door, then go right. Two empty boxes, then proceed
for another "!", more two empty boxes, and up the stairs for a "!" and
then go up, until the end of the stairs, turn left at the end. Two empty
boxes, proceed up to the point where you can get a life and another "!"
point, which has 2 silver robots and 2 red robots, the go left for another
two boxes, one of them having an item that will fully heal you. Keep
going, and up the stairs, turning right at the end. Keep going, and up the
other stairs for a cutscene, and after it another Boss Battle.

2.8.5 Boss Battle
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This battle turns out being really easy, when you know what to do...
You'll see two breakable blocks in the left side, hit them until one of
them breaks. Now, use th L+R technique on the frozen boss. When he gets
unfrozen, just hit the blocks again until one of them breaks, and then
repeat this. When you can't use this technique again, just finish him with
normal attacks!

Another cutscene and this level with lots of bosses will be finally over!
Now, move right in the world map in order to reach the next level...

2.9 Underwater Cavern
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Life Water (item number 2)
--- Gem (item number 49)

After the cutscene with the submarine and all that, go all to the right,
until you find the first "!", which will be having 3 of those new enemies,
the bats. Continue going until you can't proceed, then go up (by using the
platforms) and be sure to get the capsule on the top, for a life upgrade
item (item number 2). Now, you can choose which place to go. Personally I
picked the left side, so if you wanna follow this faq, do the same thing.
Keep on going to to left until you see a platform on top of you, use it to
jump up and to the right, and keep on going. Destroy the rocks and then
proceed for another "!" and the next screen. Now, keep on advancing to the
right and up in some platforms, left to an hamburguer and then right for
another "!". Advance a bit and jump to the right, for a door which leds to
item no. 49, then go out and down, keep on following the path and let
yourself fall down at the end. Proceed to the right until the next "!"
point, continue going right (avoiding the spikes) until the next
"!". Now, you see the hole going up? Just climb it using the "jump from
one wall to another" technique for an item that will completly heal you.
Then, proceed to the right and always down (ignore the path with with
rocks, as it only leads to a red door) and follow that path until you
reach the next "!", with the "manual" spikes with bats. Then, proceed
until the next screen. Going right, break the 2 boxes for a invencibility
item, then fight the "!", climb the platforms from the windows and proceed
to the right, until you find the red spot, for your first boss battle.

2.9.1 Boss Battle
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This one is really easy. Just use the red spot to go up, recharge your
kamehameha attack, go down and use it against the boss. Now, use the spot
again, recharge your attack again, use it, and so on, until you win the
battle! This may take a while, but it is surely the easiest way to win
this battle! Now, continue to the right...

2.9.2 Second Part of the level
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Be careful with the "!" point with lots of cameras, as they can really
annoy you. Now, jump to the platforms and go right, DON'T go up the
platforms on the windows and go right until to get an hamburguer (and a
"!" point with red robots...), then finally go up the platforms on the
windows and all to the left onto the next screen. Always to the right,
defeat the "!" point with lots of bats, keep going and destroy the 4 rocks
blocking your path, jump onto the platform to reach the big one (which has
a "!", by the way...), then go right and destroy the 6 rocks blocking the
path. Get the chicken, destroy another 6 blocks and get to the boss fight
with General Blue.

2.9.3 General Blue (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

After the cutscene, be ready for a somehow hard battle, if you don't know
what to do.Some of his attacks include paralyzing you (when he starts
displaying a light blue flame around him), making a jump attack that
reminds you of piccolo's attacks in the old SNES games (I mean, he will
jump and then go down in a 45 angle), using psychic powers (when he
displays a pink flame around him) and, finally, use his machine gun.
First, and in order to weaken him, use the L+R technique 3 times, at its
full power. Now, quickly go next to him and hit him with as many combos
and as quickly as possible! When your ki bar has enough power for another
L+R technique, use it, and I bet he will go down in no time! Just don't go
away from him, or else he will use his power to paralize you! If you can't
really seem to win, just loose and then pick "continue" (the first
option), this way you will regain all your life and ki, making this an
easier battle!

Now, watch the cutscene and onto the next level, I mean, going right on
the world map...

2.10 Korin's Tower
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Seems familiar, right? After the cutscene, try beating Taopaipai... It's
impossible! Even if you deplete his health bar, at the end he will use his
special attack and you will die, loosing this level! So, after that you
will be facing another mini-game...

2.10.1 Korin's mini game
-> Items found around here:
--- none

So, your target is just to catch the "cat"... and it is surely easier than
you could think! Just go in the direction of it, and you will see a lot of
them. Just wait a little and the others will fade away, making you see the
real one. Now, just go to him as quicly as possible, jump and press A to
catch him. After 10 times, it will be finished and you get the to the next
section!

2.10.2 Taopaipai again...
-> Items found around here:
--- Hand Grenade (item number 39)

Now the battle is way too easy... just attack him and be careful with the
"blue" aura that sometimes he uses to block your attacks, as it will
enable him to counter your attacking, granting him sometimes the chance of
throwing you to the air and causing you a greater ammount of damage. As in
the last of this type of levels (the fight against Juckie Chun) your best
chance is to break your opponent's defense, then throw him into the air
and finally make him hit the ground. After some time, he will surely fall,
and you will be able to proceed into the next level.

Now, down in the world map, into the next level...

2.11 Red Ribbon's Base
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Another of those levels in which you will be controlling Goku on top of
his magic cloud, so all you need to do is to jump to the top of the Red
Ribbon airplanes and (easily) defeat all the enemies there, in order to
advance to the next section. If you can't just finish this level, well...
Stop playing and try some even easier games, like tetris or something...
When you finish the level, continue reading below...

2.11.1 On the ground
-> Items found around here:
--- Upa's Feather (item number 28)
--- Red Ribbon Mark (item number 48)
--- Super Skill Water (item number 9)
--- Super Life Water (item number 3)

(ATTENTION, VERY IMPORTANT, appears I had missed one item when writing
the stuff below... For getting the last power pole upgrade (item number
9), go up on the second building on the second area, follow the bridge and
you will find it there! Sorry... :-\).

As usual, start going right and use the mid level of the house in order to
reach the top side of the right platform. Now keep going and ignore the
first box, as it doesn't have anything in it. Then, you will find a "!"
and a box with a red robot, continue going and get past to a building that
has a bridge connecting its 2 sections. Another "!" point, and keep on
going near the ground (don't go across the top bridges!), destroy the box
for a life and you will face another "!" point, and then a door. Enter it
for a capsule with the Upa's feather item (item number 28), then exit the
door and go right into the next scene. Go right into 3 (empty) boxes, and
keep going until you find a door, which has an hamburguer and Red Ribbon
logo item (item number 48) in it. Now, continue heading right until you
get another box and a "!". You will then find a tower, climb it to the top
and go right to proceed, into another "!" area with 2 cyborgs (shoot your
kamehameha at their head, as before...) and continue to the right, don't
fall into the hole since it will get full of red robots. Ignore the next
house and continue walking until the next screen. There are 2 empty boxes,
a not important tower and then a bridge. Cross it for a "!". At the end
jump to the other side, and in the next tower see the entrance of it for a
capsule containing an health upgrade (item number 3) and a life, inside
the crate. Outside the door, climb the tower (how? Jump from one wall to
the tower...) and go right, to the top of the next building, then go to
the platform in the right for a "!" with a cyborg only. Continue going
right, for 2 empty boxes, 2 boxes with an hamburguer, 2 empty boxes, a
building and then a "!", then go for the next screen. Jump to the tower,
cross the bridge for a "!" and another Red Door and Keep going right until
you find 2 (empty) boxes, then 2 other empty boxes and a huge building
with a "!", but be sure to check the box in lower right side of the
building for an hamgurguer, then proceed to the right, across another huge
building, up to 2 towers with a bridge connecting them, with a "!". Get
rid of the 2 cyborgs in the same way you did up to now, then into the next
big building... Check the lower right corner for a cyborg and a box with
an item that will fully heal you, then use the red spot to go up and enter
the door to get a sequence with General Red and black guy (don't remember
his name, sorry -_-''' ). And, guess what? Boss battle, of course!

2.11.2 Advisor Black in Red Ribbon Battle Jacket (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Another of those battles that may turn out being hard, if you don't know
what to do in it... This boss has some strong physical attacks, he can
throw some missiles at you, plus sometimes he will go far into the
scenario and hit you with one of 2 attacks... In the first one you will
see a target passing by and pointing at you, try avoiding it at all costs
or you will be hit with a good ammount of damage, so you will have to
skip 4 or 5 of this attacks and then the batlle will proceed. As for the
second one, he will throw a giant missile at you, which is unavoidable,
if it hits the ground. So, how can you avoid that type of damage? Easy,
just see where it will land (easy to do, since you will see a large shadow
on that place...), go a little to the left (or right...) and when you see
it going down, hit it! It will just blow up then, but you won't be damaged
at all... So, how can you defeat this powerful machine? First, go near him
and use the L+R combo attack 3 times, at full power. Now, your best bet is
to reach him and attack him with as many combos and possible, and as
quickly as you can. However, be careful, since I already told you that he
has some really strong short range attacks. Once you recover some ki, use
the L+R combo again and at full power, that will finish him easily by
then. Also, not sure if you have already noticed that, but you
can use the kamehameha attacks to destroy the missiles that he throws at
you (this seems to work on almost everything they throw at you in this
game). After a while, I bet you will have destroyed him, right? It is not
as hard as you could first think...
Oh, and it appears that you can actually deflect the giant missile, when
it is falling down just be sure to kick it back, in the same way that
Goku usually kicks a grenade back!

Now, left into the next level...

2.12 Uranai Baba's place
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Uups, after the cutscene you will notice that you actually are in Uranai
Baba's place, and (unlike the anime...) you will just need to face 2 of
his guys... So, onto the first one...

2.12.1 Goku vs Akkuman (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This turns out being a quite easy match, you just need to be careful with
the gap between the two stone demon tongues, since you will loose if you
fall into it. Oh, and if you are wondering, it is impossible to defeat
this enemy by having him fall outside the scenario, lol... So, just avoid
the attack in which he throws his trident at you (ouch, that attack really
hurts!) and attack him with everything you've got, and he will go down in
no time. I just need to warn you about something, he appears to have an
attack that instantly kills you... I can't confirm this, as I only saw it
once (hey, could have been a bug or something!), but either you it is
better to say this to you! After beating him, continue reading...
(ATTENTION, I received an e-mail saying that his attack is called
"Akumaitokosen" and that it can instantly kill someone who doesn't have a
pure heart... However, in this game it more than once killed my Goku, so
I am not sure if it really works in the game like that or not...)

Now, see the cutscene, and then you will have to figth against an "old
friend", which most of you already know who is...

2.12.2 Goku vs ???
-> Items found around here:
--- Gohan's Hat (item number 38)

Hey, I know who he is and his name and everything (don't mail me his name
or anything...), I am just putting here the name that he is given in this
battle, which turns out being "???". Also, this turns out being another
easy battle, just do exactly the same thing you did against Taopaipai and
everything will surely go fine. He seems to jump a lot, so using a
Kamehameha attack on the floor isn't a good option, but apart from that
just hit him hard, throw him into the air and then onto the ground a
couple times, and after some time you would have defeated him without
much trouble. Also, his special attack seems not to be very strong, but it
is better to try avoiding it, just in case...

Oh, appears he (coff spoilers coff) was Goku's grandfather! Ok, watch the
cutscene and then go down, until you reach the car on the world map...

2.13 Pilaf's party (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

After the cutscene in which the robots for the Pilaf party fuse, maybe you
should try being careful... Most people seem to find this one an hard
battle, but I think it is rather easy, when you know what to do. First, be
sure that you have the ki bar completely full, before entering the level.
Now, go near the enemy, jump and use the L+R combo 3 times, ALWAYS at full
power. If done correctly, he will only have his red health bar left. Now,
just stick to him, jump and hit the pink part of the robot 2 times in each
jump. You just need to be careful with the black bombs with a red skull,
as they cause massive damage to you. If you have done everything just like
I told you, now you just need to continue attacking him for a while and
then he will blow up! Oh, and I was forgetting something... If you need
some more ki on your bar, be sure to play across Yamcha's boss battle
(don't use the L+R combo in it, obviously...) 3 or 4 times before trying
this one, in order to have the complete bar at your request...

Beat him? Now, onto the next level, which turns out being a really
interesting one, as you will have to face the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai.

2.14 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Unfortunately you won't be able to play against everyone that Goku faced
in the series, but only the most important matches, although I am not sure
if the second one really appears in the series... Now, as for the first
match, he will have...

2.14.1 Goku against Chaoz
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Another easy match. As you may know from the series, this opponent is not
very strong, but his "magic" attacks are strong. So, if he seems to be
charging his ki attack, just be prepared to jump over it and you won't
suffer any damage. Now, just use the same usual technique of breaking his
defense and throwing him into the air, and then into the ground... After a
while you would have finished this battle, and ready for the next one...

2.14.2 Goku against Krillin
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This battle may be a lot harder than he could think. Your opponent is
incredibly fast, so you may have to think a little to beat him... First,
don't use ANY ki attacks, as he would dodge them or attack you before you
had the chance to fully charge them. Now, you will need to do as before
(I mean, the "air to the ground" thing), but notice than once he hits the
ground, he will stay stopped for a while. So, quickly land and, as soon
as he starts getting up, break his defense and attack him, performing the
same action as before, and repeating until the battle has ended. Just hope
he doesn't use a Blue protective aura (yep, the one that helps you
countering attacks), or maybe he will hit you and cause you some damage.
If this occurs, you will have to try hitting him again, in order to start
the process of getting him on the ground and everything as before... Now,
be careful with what I told you, keep on hitting him as quickly as
possible and eventually you will get a win...

As for the finals, you will be facing... Tenshinhan!

2.14.3 Goku against Tenshinhan
-> Items found around here:
--- Shen's Hat (item number 40)

The second thoughest battle you will face in this game... the advice I can
give you is exactly the same that I told you for the battle before.
However, this opponent seems to have a bigger health bar, be able to block
most of your attacks and even sometimes disappear (when on the ground) and
appear behind you, which may ruin your plans, unlike what happened with
Krillin. Also, he has a super special attack that can be performed while
in the air, and will hit you for more than 20 hits of damage (if I
remember correctly, as I only saw it once or twice...), but that will use
his entire Ki bar (yep, the entire 4 blocks!), so you will not see it
quite often. Even if you do, try dodging it at all costs. Finally, and
since he seems to block almost all of your attacks, be sure to start all
your combos with the Down+B attack, as it seems to break almost all his
his defense bar. So, keep on trying (sorry, there isn't much I can do
here...) and eventually you will beat this really strong opponent, being
only second to the final story mode boss...!

Now, another cutscene you won't be interested in, but you will see your
friend Krillin fainted. Now, you will discover what happened, so you will
have to follow that ugly monster...

2.14.4 Tamberine battle
-> Items found around here:
--- none

After the cutscene with Tamberine, you will notice that you will need to
face this opponent in a battle on your magical cloud. His main attacks
include going out of the screen and rush across it 3 times (easily dodged,
just start going up and down without stopping), spitting a small ki energy
ball and disappearing, making an appearence on top of you and quickly
hitting you on his way down (to dodge it, just quickly move to the left or
right). Now, he is not very strong, so what you have to do is... Use the
L+R combo as many times as possible (well, if you don't have at least 1
you are in BIG TROUBLE!), then dodge his rushes and when he stops, attack
him with everything you've got. If you have the chance (or better, if you
have the ki...) for another L+R combo, use it. Now, Keep repeating it
until you have defeated him...

On the cutscene, you will notice that he was defeated and died, but before
this he destroyed your magical cloud and you fall into the ground, being
heavily damaged. At least you meet Yajirobe, but then... a powerful foe
will appear, and you surely are in big trouble...

2.14.5 Goku vs King Piccolo (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This battle will be really hard, but... you don't have to win it! So, just
let him kick your ass and then continue reading below, if by any chance
your are really interested in this faq.

Cutscene, King Piccolo will be young again, Goku and Yajurobe in Korin's
Tower, blablabla, and so on... Now, you will be taken into Sacred Water's
Trial Cavern, which turns out being a huge puzzle cavern instead of an
hard level...

2.14.6 Holy Water Trial Cavern
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Since this level is quite easy (except for the puzzle thing), so I will
just tell you where do you need to go next... First, go all to the right
in this first room and enter the door. Keep going, for a "!" and another
door. Continue on that path until you can choose going down or up. Go up,
enter the door, proceed in that path and enter the next door. Now, go
left, proceed until the door and enter it. Avoid the cyborg, jump in the
wall and go up on the platforms into the door. Proceed to the left and
into the next door. Use the walls and platforms to go up, then another
door. Be careful here, since one of those bad giant balls will fall from
the top of the screen and you will have to destroy 3 places with rocks,
then run (or else you won't have enough space to land on the platform on
the other side of the screen) and try jumping into the other side of the
hole, which WILL ONLY BE POSSIBLE IF YOU ARE RUNNING! Then enter the
door, into a room in which both doors don't do anything (perhaps this is
a bug, hum?), so just go all to the left into the next screen and a boss
battle, which is surely familiar to you...

2.14.7 Yamcha (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

Ok, he is 99% like before, the only difference is that now he has a bigger
health bar. As usually, just use the L+R technique at full power, and then
kick him with everything you have learned up to now. If you are having
trouble with his attacks or something, just read the point of this faq
where I talk about the first battle against him... Mainly you just have to
avoid his special attack which causes a lot of damage, but apart from that
you won't have any trouble with this battle...

After defeating him, just go to the right and proceed until the next
screen, for more action on the Holy Water Trial Cavern...

2.14.8 Holy Water Trial Cavern (second part)
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Warrior's Water (item number 15)
--- Bansho Fan (item number 47)

Proceed to the right, getting through a "!" point, and enter the door.
Now, you will see 3 doors. Use the one in the middle to get some enemies
and an hamburguer, then return to this room and take the door in the
right. Proceed up to the point you will find a ki upgrade capsule (item
number 15) and a "!" with lots of cyborgs and 2 flying cameras, then (and
as you may even already imagine...) proceed to the right until the door,
in which you should enter. Now, ignore the 2 doors and go all to the right
in order to get an hamburguer, now enter the left door, go all to the left
until you see two doors and enter the left one, for Bansho's Fan (item
number 47). Now, exit this door and go all to the right, in order to reach
a new boss battle, which "strangely" will also be someone you already
know from a previous boss battle...

2.14.9 Krillin (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- Super Kami Water (item number 16)

Really easy... Just charge all the 4 L+R attacks up to its maximum, then
use each of them in Krillin and, if done correctly, he will only have a
partial part of his red health bar left. So, just give him a couple
attacks and he will be finished. If, even like this you can't seem to beat
him, read the faq strategy for the other Krillin boss battles, that way
maybe you will know what else to expect from him and things like those.
Now, go all to the the right and get the Holy Water item (item number 16).

Now you will be in the world map, and ready for the level which is the
final one of this story mode...

2.15 Final level
-> Items found around here:
--- none

You enter the level, and... uups, cutscene and boss battle? Huh, this
only shows you how hard this level is going to be...

2.15.1 Drum (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

This monster is not very strong... however, he is really annoying, as he
is always disappearing and appearing in another places. Apart from this,
he only seems to have 2 diffent attacks, which are a physical punch (which
he only uses when you are really next to him) and a special move, in which
he uses an energy wave that covers the side of the screen that he is
looking at, which turns out to be easily dodged, as you can just run to
the other side and he won't hit you... Be careful if he does hit you, as
it will cause you an huge ammount of damage (more than 100 points, if you
get the full wave...)... So, your best bet is try to following him as
fast as you can (since he is always appearing and disappearing...) and hit
him with everything you have got... If you want, use the L+R combos, but I
doubt you will need it, however... in case of emergency, really use it!
After a while (yeah, you may take some time in this battle...) you will
be able to finally struck your final blow on him, and then proceed to the
rest of the level...

2.15.2 Final level, really!
-> Items found around here:
--- Demon Egg (item number 52)
--- Yajirobe's Katana (item number 36)

Now, after the boss battle, start going right until you find your first
"!", but be sure to check the silver box in the way (as it contains an
invencibility item) and use the red spot for going up. Defeat the ugly
green dinosaurs in that "!" (hey, they strangely seem like ducks or
something! X_X'''' ) and then proceed to the right until the next screen.
Right until a new "!" point with monsters that seem like Tamberine clones
(and they are even strong, as they can block some of your attacks!),
continue going right until you find 2 silver boxes in top of some ruins,
which contain that item which will fully heal you, then go down on the
next next buiding in ruins (that has a red spot nearby...) and break the
2 boxes for an invencibility item and a "!" point with lots of those
strange dinosaurs (now in green and blue sort! -_-'''), then keep walking
until the next "!" with blue Tamberine clones. Finally (you wish!) go
more to the right until you see the red spot, use it to make your pod
bigger and reaching the door on top of the building for capsule with a
demon egg (item number 52), then out the door and right until the next
screen. Keep going right until you find your "!" point, then use the wall
to jump into the ceiling of the building in the left and using the red
spot to go up into the door, which will have an item that will fully heal
you and a capsule with a sword (item number 36), then out the door and
right until a gap between 2 ruins, that have a box with a life in it.
Then, right until you find a next box, which will have one of those items
that make you invencible for a while and a "!", next until another "!",
(which is a tough one, as it will feature all the types of enemies that
you will face in this level) and then right until the FINAL boss battle of
the story mode...

2.15.3 Goku vs King Piccolo (Boss Battle)
-> Items found around here:
--- none

As I already told you on the fight against Tenshinhan, this is surely
gonna be the toughest battle in this game, and if you recall he anime, you
will know what to expect... Your opponent is able to counter almost all of
your physical attacks (of course, using that blue aura I already told you
about several times...), he can attack really quickly, his ki attacks are
the most powerful ones you see in the game (he also has a super ki attack
that will deplete his 4 ki bars, just like Tenshinhan) and he can even
break your defense in 3/4 attacks, or even less. So, I'll try to give you
the main guidelines for this battle, but the final result depends only on
yourself, not in me... Huh, what a phylosophy... Oh, nevermind! Back to
the things that matter, you will need to start ALL your combos with a
DOWN+B attack, and then throw him to the air, until you have all the 4 ki
bars full. Then, you will be able to perform Goku's super special ki
attack, in which you have to press L+R in the air, Goku will use his
kamehameha attack and go up in a 45 angle, heavily damaging everything he
finds in his path. So, do what I was telling you and, when Goku is in the
air and has King Piccolo on top of him (in a upper 45 range), use this,
which will REALLY damage him. Now, keep on making combos started with a
DOWN+B attack until you have enough power for performing another super ki
attack, and keep on doing this until you can defeat him. Now, you finished
the story mode of this game, but there are many more things do to...

Just watch the ending cutscenes, plus the credits, in which you will be
able to see the images for every character that appears in this game. Then
you will be taken into the main screen of the game, and notice that your
savegame will now be followed by a star, it means that you have unlocked
some extra contents... Wanna know more about it? Just read the next
section of this faq!

3. What now?

Huh, now even your main menu will be changed, it will display lots of new
options and many other things! If you are wondering, it now looks somehow
like this:

story                   Battle
Multiplayer             Options
Extra                   Mini-games

So, what else is there for you to do? Now, I am gonna explain all the
sections, one by one...

3.1 Story Mode

You can now replay the game with Goku (hey, you may have missed an item
or something...) and play across the entire game with Krillin, and doing
so (I mean, playing the game with Krillin) will grant you sometimes a
different story in some points, but you will also unlock more stuff after
finishing it...

3.2 Battle Mode

Here, you can play battles with some of the characters that you unlocked,
like Goku, Krillin, Juckie Chan, Taopaipai, Songohan (hey, Goku's
grandfather, I mean...) and Tenshinhan, but there are also more 2
characters for you to unlock.

3.3 Multiplayer Mode

Here, you can play battles with your friends, but you will need to have
the same catridge for the two units, which may seem hard since (by now)
the only way of way of getting those would be importing it from Japan. You
can choose any of the characters that are on that moment playable for you
in the Battle Mode, and you will have to try beating your opponent, which
will be controllable by your friend in the other unit. Apart from that,
there isn't anything special about this.

3.4 Options Mode

By picking this, you can see what items do you already have (which is the
first option in the menu), and the second option lets you erase your
savegame, a thing that you surely don't want to happen, or maybe you
wouldn't be reading this faq, would you? O_o''''

3.5 Extra Mode

Using this option you can play across the entire game again, but this time
all the Red Doors will be open. That way you can get the items that
previously were inside them, plus you can get new (and preety nice, I
shall say...) abilities. You will also be able to get some characters
faces, which are required to unlock some things that I will tell you about
later on.

3.6 Mini-games Mode

As soon as you have unlocked this, you will notice that there are only 2
options. The first one lets you replay the mini-game in which you had to
break some stones, while the second one lets you play the mini-game in
which you had catch Korin. However, more things will be availiable later
on, as you complete more stuff in this game...

4. Story Mode with Krillin

You just have to complete it like you did with Goku, just follow the
walkthrough above and everything will go just fine. Despite that Krillin
doesn't have a pod, most of their abilities are almost exactly the same,
so you won't have any problems in finishing it. Don't forget that you will
need to play across this in order to unlock some of the items (don't worry
about where to get them, since they are ALWAYS given to you across the
story), and when you finally finish it (it's easier than you think!) you
will get a slightly different ending (yep, really slightly... :-\ ) and
unlock a new option in the Battle Mode (Survival Mode, if you were
wondering...), which will allow you to pick your character and play
against a tournament, which will feature some of the characters you faced
in this game. Also, you would have unlocked King Piccolo for play in all
the Battle Mode options.

5. Battle Mode

Ok, if you have been following this faq from the starting point up to now,
you know that you have already completed the Story Mode with Krillin, so
when you pick the Battle Mode option, you will be given two options:

Free Battle
Survival

Now, pick the second option, in which you will have to defeat all the
opponents from this game one after the other, using the same life bar.
However, if you want to unlock something special, finish it with King
Piccolo, which you should have already unlocked by now. Either way, you
will be able to face:

- Giran
- Nam
- Juckie Chun
- Taopaipai
- Son Gohan (Goku's grandfather, not his son...!)
- Chaoz
- Klilyn (Krillin, I guess...)
- Tenshinhan
- Piccolo
- Goku
- Cyborg Taopaipai

And like I was saying, if you beat them all with with King Piccolo, after
the final battle you will unlock a new item (Mecha Goggle, item number
42) and also, Cyborg Taopaipai will be unlocked to play in the options
from Battle Mode.

6. Extra Mode

In this mode your main target will be collecting all the items... However,
you can also play with some characters from this game (I mean, you can
change characters at any time you want), so I won't write the full path
for it, I will just put the items and where to get them in each level. Oh,
and if you are wondering, all the Red Doors are now open, so one of your
targets will be checking all of them! Also, I will only talk about the
levels that contain anything interesting... If there isn't anything in
that level, it won't even appear here...

6.1 Goku's House
-> Items found around here:
--- Power Pole (item number 11)
--- 4-star Dragon Ball (item number 22)
--- Ox King's Axe (item number 31)

- After the first "!" point, you'll see some mountains, go up all of them
  and enter the door in order to get the REALLY IMPORTANT item number 11,
  which lets you make your pole bigger whenever you want, not only on the
  red spots as before.

- On the second area of this level you will see a door, enter it for the
  forth dragon ball (item number 22).

- On the third area, you will find an item inside a door in the mountains,
  it is Ox King's Axe (item number 31).

6.2 Pilaf's Palace
-> Items found around here:
--- PP Candy (item number 18)
--- Girl's Panties (item number 43)
--- 1-star Dragon Ball (item number 19)
--- Pilaf's Hat (item number 26)
--- Carrot (item number 44)

- Before the first camera, go up/left. You'll find a door, and inside it
  you will get a PP candy (item number 18).

- Next, before the place with a giant ball, you will find a hole in the
  top of the wall. Go up in it (using your pole) and you will find a door
  with girls' panties, item number 43.

- Going right on the "Rock Point", go to a place where you had to go
  several times up and down to break some rocks. There, you will find a
  chicken, and if you go up use the pole, you will find a door with
  dragon ball number 1 (item number 19).

- Going down on the rock point, go left and you will see a place with lots
  of holes on the top. Take the one most on the left and you will be taken
  to a door, in which lies the Pilaf's Hat lies (item number 26).

- Going down on the rock point, wait until the second red spot and use
  it to go up. On the right you will get a door, inside it you will find a
  capsule with a carrot (item number 44) and an item that will completly
  heal you.

6.3 Master Roshi's Training
-> Items found around here:
--- Roshi's Staff (item number 32)
--- Bottle of Milk (item number 46)

- When you are getting back, you will see a group of 6 rocks. On top of
  the mountains there you will find a capsule with Master Roshi's Cane
  (item number 32).

_ When you are getting back, you will see an open door near some spikes.
  Go there for the milk (item number 46).

6.4 Muscle Tower
-> Items found around here:
--- Goku's Tail (item number 10)
--- Launch's Gun (item number 33)
--- 2-star Dragon Ball (item number 20)

- Right on the beggining you will find a door. Inside it, there's a
  capsule with Saiyan's Tail (item number 10).

- HUH! On one of the top levels, go all to the left and you will see a
  door. Inside it you will find both dragon ball 2 (item number 20) and
  Lunch's Machine Gun (item number 33).

6.5 Underwater Cavern
-> Items found around here:
--- 3-star Dragon Ball (item number 21)
--- Microband (item number 29)
--- Gen. Blue's Hat (item number 27)

- On the path block by 3 rocks, break them, defeat the came, break 4 rocks
  and you will find a door. Inside it, there is dragon ball number 3,
  which turns out being item number 21.

- When you reach the outside of the cavern part, use your pole to go up
  and turn left as soon as possible, you will go to a place you will find
  a capsule with Microband (item number 29).

- Just before the boss battle, break 6 rocks and you will see a capsule.
  General Blue's Hat (item number 27) will be there.

6.6 Red Ribbon's Base
-> Items found around here:
--- 5-star Dragon Ball (item number 23)
--- Gold Bars (item number 50)
--- Korin's Staff (item number 34)
--- 6-star Dragon Ball (item number 24)

- You can find the 5th dragon ball (item number 23) on top of a door all
  the way up in a tower find in the second area.

- Gold Bars (item number 50) can be found int the third area, near the
  door found in the ground of the tower in which you needed to jump in
  the walls before in order to get out of there.

- On the forth area, you will find a door in a tower after the bridge.
  Inside it you will find Korin's Cane, item number 34.

- Like I read on the boards, this one is usually missed... Just before the
  boss battle, you will cross a bridge. Instead of taking the next one
  into the place with the boss battle, go to the place down that bridge,
  and you will find a capsule with Dragon Ball number 6 (item 24) in
  there.

6.7 Holy Water Trial Cavern
-> Items found around here:
--- Crystal (item number 51)
--- Akuman's Spear (item number 35)

- On a place with lots of light platforms, fall on the left and you will
  find a door, proceed in that place until you get to another door, in
  which you will find Baba's Crystal ball (item number 51).

- In the point you last went down, use the platforms to go right, you will
  find a capsule with Akkuman's Spear in there (item number 35).

6.8 Final level
-> Items found around here:
--- 7-star Dragon Ball (item number 25)

- On the first building you find, go up. On the top you will find a door,
  which takes you to the seventh dragon ball (item number 25).

Once you get all the times, you will win a new option on the mini-games
menu, but be sure to get all the 7 dragon balls as soon as possible, since
that way you will be able to play with some of the characters you got the
face for, which makes this game even funnier...

7. Mini-games Mode

Ok, if you followed all the steps in this faq, you will now have 3
different options in this mode, they are:

Rock Breaking mini-game
Korin Catching mini-game
Boss mini-game

Well, they are not the correct translations of them, but I am too tired of
translating those things by now...

7.1 Rock Breaking mini-game

All you need to do in this game is breaking the rocks, both the big ones
and the smaller ones... However, be aware that breaking the big ones
always get you some extras, like coins (which give you extra points),
items that freeze the countdown, invencibility or Juckie Chun's face (if
you haven't still got it by now...).

7.2 Korin Catching mini-game

Well, remember when you did it on the Story mode? Well, now your point is
doing it again... However, this time will be a lot harder, so you will
surely need to be even more careful with all the fake clones than before!

7.3 Boss mini-game

Ok, here you will need to fight all the bosses in this game one by one,
but be aware that you can only heal your character 4 times, and that's
after each battle, since you will find yourself in a room with those
items that fully heal you and, if you use any of them, the won't appear
again. So, just pick any character you want (I went for Goku...)
and the start defeating them, you will be facing:

- Bear Thief
- Oolong transformed into Bat/Rocket
- Yamcha
- Shu and Pilaf in the yellow robots
- Krillin
- Lt. Metallic
- Purple Ninja
- (Some fat pink monster...)
- Robot Pirate
- General Blue
- Advisor Black in Red Ribbon Battle Jacket
- Akkuman
- Pilaf's Party combinated robot
- Tamberine
- Drum
- Goku

At the end you will find a "Thank you for playing" screen and nothing
more...

7.4 "Soundy" Fight mini-game (or "Small Fry" mini-game")

(First, sorry about the "rough" translation, but I couldn't find any good
way to translate "Zakuzaku").
If you are wondering, the only "normal" way to unlock this minigame was to
finish the Extra Mode and collecting all Dragon Balls. In this one you can
pick a character you want (from the ones you have already unlocked, just
like on "Boss mini-game") and with him you will need to clear a certain
area in less than 150 seconds. Lots and lots of different enemies will
appear, and you will need to try defeating them all... At the end you get
a menu saying how many of them you defeated, plus the time that you took,
and a nice screen with all the dragon balls in it.

8. Untested stuff

Ok, you must know that we, faq writers, are not perfect, so sometimes we
can miss stuff in the games... Here, I will include things that I DIDN'T
tested, so maybe some other things will be hidden in it...

- Perhaps some items are usable some times, and maybe they change the
  story or something... I never tried this, so it is mainly a rumor, but
  it may work!

9. Is there any code to unlock everything?

Play the game until you achieve all the tasks said up to this part of the
faq. Now, input this code in the title screen:

L, R Up, Down, L, R, Left , Right, R, R, Right

This will unlock all the faces (making you able to play with all the
possible characters) and the forth mini-game! ATTENTION, this seems only
to work in the japanese version of the game!

CHF. Characters' Faces List

All of them can only be got in extra mode, so don't even bother searching
for them in the story mode...

In level "Goku's House":

Pig Bandit - on Goku's House, left of the first white bridge, use the pole
             to go up into the air and get it.

Flying Camera- on Goku's House second area, fall in the first hole in the
               ground, you will find it there.

In level "Pilaf's Palace":
Black Wolf - in the place where you will see a life on top of a platform
             go up with the pole, you will see it there.

In the area "Going right, on the Rock point":

Pilaf yellow robot - going right on the rock point, you will reach a place
                     where you have a really huge hole on your right side.
                     Go down on it to get this...

In the area "Going down, on the Rock point":

Oolong - going down on the rock point, next to the first red spot you see,
         go right and up. Enter a door and you will see this face inside
         it, alone with lots of robots.

Pilaf - exactly on the place where Oolong was, go even upper (using the
        pole) and break some rocks, it will be there.

In the level "Master Roshi's Training":

Bear Thief - on Master Roshi's Training, in the third are you will find a
             place with lots and lots of spikes. Go up there and you will
             find this item.

In the area "Going Back...":

Shu - on Master Roshi's Training, when you are getting back you will see
      this below a group of many rocks. Break them and get it.

Giran - on Master Roshi's Training, at the end you will fight Krillin. Go
        up on that battle (using the pole) and you will see it there.

In the level "Muscle Tower":

Lt. Metallic - on Muscle Tower, you will see it on top of a blue closet,
               exactly on the first corridor.

Nam - on Muscle Tower, after defeating Lt. Metallic, go all to the right
      and on a next area you will find it on top of a closet.

In the level "Underwater Cavern":

Chaoz - on Underwater Cavern, as soon as the level starts go left. You w
        will see this one on top of Bulma's submarine.

Robot Pirate - on Underwater Cavern, door in the upper right part of the
               second area (thanks to AnotherGamer for this info).

In the area "Second Part of the level":

Purple Ninja - on Underwater Cavern, just before the boss battle, you will
               find a "!" with red robots coming from 2 holes in the top
               of the cavern. Use your pole to go up the right one and you
               will find this there.

In the level "Red Ribbon's Base":

Tamberine - on the aerial section of Red Ribbon's Base, you will find in
            on top of the last airplane you see.

In the area "On the ground":

General Blue - on Red Ribbon's Base, you'll see a door next to the floor
               in the end of the first area, you will find this face inside
               that door.

TaoPaiPai - on Red Ribbon's Base, on the forth area go down the bridge,
            using a character that flies (like Chaoz or Giran). There, you
            will find this one...

In the level "Pilaf's party":

Akkuman - on Pilaf's party level, go left quickly and you will find this
          face in there.

In the level "Holy Water Trial Cavern (second part)":

Ukelele - on Holy Water Trial Cavern, you will surely find it on a top of
          a small platform, in the path between the first and the second
          boss.

Drum - on Holy Water Trial Cavern, on the same place where you found
       Bansho's Fan.

In the level "Final level, really!":

Son Gohan - on Final level, after defeating Drum go left, you will see
            this face there.

Red Ribbon Battle Jacket - On Final level, on the second area (right
                           before the third one) go up on the tower of one
                           of the buildings, you will find this image
                           inside the door in there.

In the mini-games:

Juckie Chun - Rock breaking mini-game, it appears to come out randomly
              when you break the big rocks. Also, this is not done on the
              Extra Mode or anything, but on the Mini-games Mode! It is
              rumored to appear if you beat the top score (not in the
              actual mini-game, but after the bonus counted.

King Piccolo - After unlocking the "Soundy" Fight mini-game, keep playing
               it. This face seems to be randomly acquired, so defeating
               keep defeating the enemies and eventually one of them will
               drop this.

Depending on the images you get, you will be able to play as different
characters on the Extra Mode, but for unlocking all of them (except for
Goku and Krillin) you will first need to get all the 7 dragon balls. Then,
when you are playing in the Extra Mode, press SELECT and you will see a
menu with all the items and two options on the top. The first one makes
you exit back into the game, but the second one will take you to a menu
where you will be able to pick what character you wanna play it.

Plus, hope you enjoy playing with all those characters you like!
Personally, I thought I would never see the day in which I would be able
to play with Chaoz on a Dragon Ball game... XD

CE. Characters Evaluation

Ok, in here I will list all the characters that are playable in the game
and their moves, plus more information about them that I think that should
be included. And if you are wondering about why I chose to order them this
way, well... it's just the same order in which they appear listed in the
game.
Oh, and this is the format in which the information is given:

Name: [Obviously, the name of the character]
Moves:
   [one character moves, and how to perform it, and stuff about it...]
   [other of the character moves, ...]
   [........ and so on]
Can fly? [YES or NO...]
Good jumper? [YES or NO...]
Special notes: [if any, you will see them here]

So, here goes, and hope you enjoy this! I bet most people won't even read
this, but at least it is a good improvement to the faq! OH, AND DON'T
FORGET, all these information ONLY applies to the platform section of the
game, NOT TO THE BATTLE SECTION!

Name: Son Goku
Moves:

CEB. Characters Moves for Battle Mode

Instead of disclosing the specific moves for each of the characters, I
will have a quick reference to all, since their are performed exactly
the same way for all of them.

- The blue protective aura can be performed by pressing Up + B when you
  are about to be attack, this will completly nullify a physical attack.

- When you are blocking an attack or getting up, pressing L will make
  you disappear and appear behind your opponent. I am not 100% sure of
  it, but I heard that the name of this technique is Zanzouken.

- All the characters have 4 Ki attacks, each of them performed by
  pressing and holding R. The more Ki bars you use, the better the attack
  will be, and you can even change the direction of the attack by pressing
  Up (only with some of them!), which would launch an attack diagonally
  up in the direction you were currently facing.

-
 Some (and ONLY SOME!) characters have a more powerful attack, which can
  be performed by having 4 complete ki bars and then pressing L+R. Those
  include Tenshinhan (who can perform it on air or on the ground),
 Juckie
  (who can only perform it on the ground), Piccolo Daimao (who can only
  perform it on the ground) and Son Goku (who can only perform it on the
  air).

PC. Patch Codes

Ok, I am gonna try putting here all the patch codes I can, in different
formats, hope you enjoy them!

-> Enable Codes

VBA Code: (isn't required)

VBA Code: 0202066A:XX
Codebreaker: 3202066A 00XX (be sure to enter the item mode and exit it
                            once, in order to debug it a little...)

Be sure to replace the XX with values from the chart below... And also,
not all the characters seem to work correctly (the color, special moves
and things like those...), so I am gonna say here about all of them, by
rating them in the way specified below:

100 % - the character is fully playable
50 % - wrong colors, has his specific powers
0 %   - wrong colors, doesn't have specific powers

00: Gokou --- 100 %
01: Klylin --- 100 %
02: Yamucha --- 100 %

05: Purple Ninja --- 50 % (glitchy)
06: Robot Pirate --- 50 %
07: General Blue --- 50 %

1C: Flying Sentry Camera -- 50 % (glitchy)

1E,1F and so on : Errors, don't try that!

However, there are some other things that I must say about this type of
code... despite not being able to use their specific powers sometimes by
using these codes, you can do that by inputting the code that unlocks
everything, and by doing so you will even be able to access all their
powers. Nice thing, hum? (Special thanks to Ghost for this info)

FAQ. Frequently Asked Questions

Everything in this section will be put in this format:
Q(uestion): Your question here!
A(nswer): The Answer to the question here!
Hope you enjoy it, and maybe this is will help you with the
questions that you may have about this game!

Q: Where can I get this this game?

A: I won't help you with that, sorry!

Q: Where is the place you named "Rock point"?

A: As stated somewhere in this guide, the "Rock Point" is the place in
   Pilaf's castle where you can break some rocks which, upon broken, will
   let you fall down for one path, but you may also head right (without
   breaking them) in order to reach another another path. Both paths are
   different, and you'll need to play the level twice to get everything
   that is hidden here.

Q: Where can I find item number [insert number here]?

A: Try the section "IT. Items List" of this faq... However, be aware that
   some of the items can only be gotten in story mode, and others only in
   the extra mode.

Q: First you call the character X, now you are calling him Y. Why is that
   happening?

A: Well, when writing this faq sometimes I was sometimes writing late at
   night (yep, and watching Conan O'Brian... X_X ), so I put the names I
   usually use instead of the ones used by the game. This may happen more
   times with Krillin, but other characters may have also been mistaked...

Q: Hey, I unlocked character XYZ for the Extra Mode! Can you put that on
   the faq?

A: Of course, as long as you tell me where you found his image... Also, be
   sure to add the proper e-mail line (read the last section of this faq)
   when mailing me...

Q: I found the face for character X, how can I use him?

A: You can only "normally" use some characters, for the other ones you
   will need to use the code to unlock everything. Why is this? No idea!

Q: How can I unlock Yamcha?

A: Try finishing Krillin's story.

Q: What do I get for completing the game in other difficulty modes?

A: Nothing.
