So what is Battlebots Design & Destroy? TOURNAMENT MODE - Here you can create your own bot and compete on 4 different divisions, each division has 4 different opponents: Light weight - Backlash, Toe Crusher, Ziggo, Mouser Mecha-Catbot Middle weight - Sunshine Lollibot, Hazard, Deadblow, Complete Control Heavy weight - Biohazard, Tazbot, Overkill, El diablo grande Super Heavy weight - Diesector, Minion, Jaws of death, Toro You can unlock different divisions, maps, and bots for brawl mode by defeating the enemies here. 2. BRAWL MODE - This is simply a skirmish mode where you can select the map, division, number of players, and ofcourse, the participating bots. You can choose between the 4 ready made bots in each division or use your own custom made bots. 3. MULTI PLAY - Link with another GBA. 4. PASSWORDS - This is similar to saving except it uses passwords to load your bots and divisions. 5. OPTIONS - Adjustables include: ~ Timelimit ~ Brightness ~ SFX ~ Music ~ Controls ~ Play Mode ============================================================================= Tournament Guide [D40] ============================================================================= I wouldn't give much information on tactics since this game is pretty much easy plus, you should try to enjoy the game more by experimenting and trying out your own design and tactics. 1. Light Weight Division [D41] ---------------------------------------- Firstoff, you have to create your bot, refer to [Bot guide] to see the parts you can use on the four different divisions. Note that you can use more than one weapon on a single chassis as long as it follows the weight requirment. Once your done, you will face your first opponent. Bot Name: Toe Crusher Difficulty: Easy Prize Money: $100 Sponsorship: BATTERY You can choose between two arenas, Battlebox and Oilrig, as the game progresses you will be able to unlock two more arenas. Like most enemies in this game, this guy is very easy, its only strong point is its speed and has weak attack power so he should'nt really be a problem. This fight will serve as a practice or tutorial for beginners, after the fight, you will be rewarded with $100 and a Sponsorship for a free battery, use the money to repair all damaged parts, it wont be that expensive and repairing can really help you throughout the game, also, dont forget to check on the battery section and look for a Nicad Recheargable pack, this would be sold at $0, buy it and your previous battery will automatically be sold and replaced by the new one. Your Second Opponent will be: Bot Name: Mouser Mecha-Catbot Difficulty: Easy Prize Money: $300 Sponsorship: None Another easy fight, he may flip you a couple of times but his defense is very weak, destroying him will be a piece of cake. I guess now you have already gotten the hang of it and your now ready to take on the tournament by your self, so i wont tell you what to do anymore, just excercise your imagination and be creative when assembling your bots. I will provide little if any support on the next 14 opponents. Bot Name: Backlash Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $300 Sponsorship: TIRES Bot Name: Ziggo Difficulty: Easy Prize Money: N/A Sponsorship: None He is relatively weak, although you should watch your weapon as he tends to destroy it leaving you with no other option but to use the arena against him. After the fight, you will be awarded with a Light Wt. Div. throphy and you will move on to the Middle Weight Division. 2. Middle Weight Division [D42] ---------------------------------------- You can now use more chasses and a lot of new equipment, refer to [Bot Guide] if you need some help figuring out some of the equipment, you will also be able to use the new airplane graveyard map. Make yourself a new bot and fight your first opponent in the Middle weight Division. Bot Name: DeadBlow Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $300 Sponsorship: WEAPON Has decent defense and decent attack, after the battle, check the weapons area and see if the weapon is useable by your bot, if you dont see anything priced $0, then the weapon given is only useable by another chassis. Bot Name: Lollibot Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $500 Sponsorship: TIRES Yep, you guessed it, another easy fight =). Bot Name: Complete Control Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $500 Sponsorship: None This guy has a launcher and a hammer infront so the easiest way to beat him is by attacking him on his sides and at the back. Bot Name: Hazard Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: N/A Sponsorship: CHASSIS Watchout, His attacks comes from all directions so try not to give him an advantage and dont let him get all over you if your not using a spinner type chassis. After beating him, you get to be the Middle weight division champ so now your off to the big boys. 3. Heavy Weight Division [D43] ---------------------------------------- Im not 100% sure but once I entered the Heavy weight division, I was given a free Cylindrical Spinbot Welded Steel chassis, maybe its because I used a cylindrical spinbot in the Middle weight or something, anyway, welcome to the heavy weight division, there will be some new chasses and equipment so make another bot and go get em. The volcano map will now be unlocked so explore it if you like. Bot Name: Overkill Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $1106 Sponsorship: BATTERY Repair, check the new battery, and go to your next match. Bot Name: Tazbot Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $1500 Sponsorship: None Another enemy with spinbot like weapons, repairing shouldnt be a problem by now since the enemies give a lot of money so don't conserve your money by not repairing. Bot Name: El Diablo Grande Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $1750 Sponsorship: None He has a spinning spiked drum upfront and some kind of tosser or a wedge at the back, beating him wouldnt be so easy but it also wont be hard. Bot Name: Biohazard Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: N/A Sponsorship: None This guy could be very annoying, He has a launcher so he would be flipping you over a lot, and he cannot be flipped so refrain from using tosser type weapons. Super Heavy Weight Division [D44] ---------------------------------------- This is the final division so make sure you make a decent bot, there would be a lot of new equipment so suit up and head to your first match. Bot Name: Minion Difficulty: Normal Prize Money: $2000 Sponsorship: MOTOR He is equipped with a drill in front and a wedge at the back so try to attack him head on to avoid getting flipped.
