I assume you are referring to the Get on the "list" mission.

First you need to earn 2 rep points, and that depends in your rep group. If you don't know your rep group, press "START" and Press "R" until you reach the screen with your stats and friends.
Your rep will be at the top of the stat box in yellow text.

To earn rep, the best thing you can do is, to befriend sims with the same rep as you.

If you're in "Streeties" you should talk to: Darius, Ewan Watahmee, Crystal, and Kris Thistle.

If you're in "Artsies" you should talk to: Cannonball Coleman, Roxanna Moxie, Theresa Bullhorn, and Pritchard Locksley.

If you're in "Richies" you should talk to: Luthor L. Bigbucks, Lottie Cash, Lily Gates, and Misty Waters.

If you're in "Nerdies" you should talk to: Maximillian Moore, Sue Pirnova, Lincoln Broadsheet, and Polly Nomial.

After earn your rep, you need to go to Club Zydeco (building with huge saxophone) and hand out tickets. (You must be there between 2AM and 5AM.
When you're there, you need to give tickets to everyone, but the RICHIES. The riches who come is Luthor L. Bigbucks, and Lottie Cash.
