The stones are used for evolving pokemon. Ex. Leaf stone gloom to vileplume, Fire stone vulpix to ninetails, thunder stone pikachu to raichu, water stone lombre to ludicolo. You get bellossom by giving gloom a sun stone.

K the leaf stone is for Nuzleaf, Gloom, Weepinbell, and exeggute.
Fire stone is for growlithe, Eevee and vulpix
Moon stone is for nidorina, nidorino, clefairy, jigglypuff and skitty.
Sun stone is for sunkern and gloom (to make your bellossom)
Thunderstone is for pikachu and Eevee
Water stone is for poliwhirl, Eevee, lombre, shellder and staryu
Thats all the rock in this game and all those whom you can use it on.

I can not tell you a whole list for the stones, but to get a Bellosom you must give a Sun Stone to Gloom I believe.
