Question for Pokemon Ruby

By using the codes on game shark for pokemon ruby to recieve all pokemon do you have to have extra pokemon in your box to be replaced.

By putting the code in are they automaticly entered into you box.

They'd probably get deleted. I suggest you have extra room sometimes when I use those kind of codes my Pokemon just dissapears!
