I have a game shark that came with or was meant for Pokemon crystal, my question is will I be able to use the old game shark from crystal on a game boy advanced Pokemon ruby game or will it ruin my ruby.

Any of the Game Shark machines will work. I used the old one; the only thing about using an older Game Shark is that its harder to find the correct codes, I never messed my game up or anything using it; a lot of codes do not work and when you find the right one's there well worth it.
