Ah, I will tell you how you can evolve your Scyther into a Scizor. Be sure to have another game, or friend nearby. In order for your Scyther to actually evolve into a Scizor, you first need to find an item called the Metal Coat. This item is actually what will make your Scyther evolve, so you need to find one first. After you find the Metal Coat, give it to Scyther as a hold item so that he is holding it. While your Scyther is holding the Metal Coat, trade him to your friend and he will evolve into a mighty Scizor. Have your friend trade him back to you, and you will have your Scizor. Hope this helps.

Give it metal coat to hold (found at memorial pillar 5 island) then trade it

Trade Scyther to another game (Pearl or Diamond) holding a 'Metal Coat' and there it will appear and turn immediately into a Scizor.
Trade it back to your main game cart if you want, it will stay as a scizor now

Amendment: trade it to any gamepak, but it wont work through migration to Diamond or Pearl... Lol, I forget what I am writing sometimes!
