No problem can't be solve click option/emulator/save type... Change to Flash 128k then press Ctrl+Rto reset, you may need to start again to save that is the only choice I know.

before u change u erase battery save
Guest answered:

yes it worked

Guest answered:

1st you must delete the save file of the rom before changing the setting to 128k from 64k, Then that should work, You will have to start a new game, there are other ways that may save your save game file but this is the quickest and most easiest way if you aren't through the game far at all

Its note worked
Guest answered:

can u already save from the menu?

Guest answered:

An easier way to save the game is hit File>Save Game
Or File>Save As :] it should work that way too, found it out by total accident that way you don't have to mess with any of the settings really.

after you defeated the elite four did you still go trough and hunt more rare pokemon?
at your pokemon it is not started from the beginning

Guest answered:

But, if you save bythe save game option of the menu of the emulatro, it willnot work when you pass de Elite Four, your game will start over and you never going to get the National Pokedex

Guest answered:

When I beat the elite 4 I had to restart the game when I did save like that (replyed to mzbh)

Guest answered:

1. Tools>Record>Start recording movie(wait a few secs.)>Stop recording movie.
2. Tools>Play>Start playing movie.
When it says end of movie at the bottom left corner you can play the game.

If you're using a GBA on computer, you need to go to "File" and then it shows you some options.Click on "Save game" and then you choose the slot to save. When you open the GBA go to the "File" again and then click on "Load game" and then click on the slot on what you saved the game. Smile

Jpoww answered:

This is a dumbed down, step-by-step guide to fixing this without having to start all over! It has been working fine for me ever since I've done it a while ago. You are all very welcome. Smile

1. Create a new folder.
2. Copy ONLY these THREE files into the new folder: the emulator (vba), the rom (Pokemon fire red/leaf green), and the last saved file from the game (.sgm extension).
3. From the new folder open the emulator, load the rom (file > open > .gba extension) and load the last saved game (file > load > .sgm extension) to continue where you were last.
4. Now go to: options > emulator > save type > Flash 128k. In other words, change it from 64k to 128k.
5. Finally, go to: tools > memory viewer. In the top right corner type in 3005004 and click on Go. In the top row you see 3005004 followed by several pairs of 00's, now change the first pair from 00 to 01, then close the memory viewer window (not the emulator).
6. Now just save the game as you would on a game boy: Start (Enter) > Save and you get the ''would you like to save'' > ''yes'' There is already a saved file, ok to overwrite?'' > ''yes''. Voilá!

Now carry on playing the game and you can save and load in game normally whenever you want to. No need to start all over so if you are at the elite 4 it will save as should be after you beat it no problem. Cheers.

To double check: when you save in game there should be an automatic new save file (.sav extension) created in the new folder and if you did everything right it will be 128KB in size.
