There is no Deoxys puzzle. You have to use a AC(action replay) or GS(game shark) to get him. You have to find a certain cheat or code that lets you fight or challenge Deoxys in the grass or wherever you are. Thats the only way I know how. Hope it helps you out.

@ james77: you use the teleport cheat to get to birth island other wise deoxys wont listen to you.
Anyway the deoxys puzzle is very tricky to do. Just keep trying and youll eventually get it. Thats what I did.

Well, to get deoxys many ppl uses cheats. But if you did it the legal way, then I think you need to step on the red spot for the triangle ot something.

This guy just wants to know how you do the puzzle, people. First things first, get a master ball- it's really tough to catch Deoxys otherwise. Now, you walk straight up to the stone and press A. It will zip down to the bottom corner of the grass triangle. You walk down until you are parallel with the stone, then walk next to it and press A again. It will move again, this time to the top of the triangle.
It's a bit like playing a knight in chess. You go however many steps up/down/left/right, then turn and walk straight the rest of the way to the stone. However, two times it will move directly opposite where it just was; just turn around and walk to it. You should notice that as the puzzle progresses, the stone starts to turn red. After it moves for maybe the tenth time (It will be at the middle again), it should be a bright red. Walk up to it and press A to begin the battle.
