Any rewards for complete pokedex?

Just wondering, but what happens if you can complete the pokedex in Pokemon emerald? Because mine is almost complete. Will Prof. Birch give me an award or something if I (hopefully) did complete the pokedex?

I believe he gives you a choice of one of the three starter Pokemon from the other games... Not sure which, but I think it is a choice between the second lot of three starters (from G/S/C)

When you finish the Hoenn dex, Prof. Birch gives you the choice of one of the three Johto starter pokemon: Cyndaquil (fire-type), Totodile (water-type), and Chikorita (grass-type). You only get to choose one, so pick carefully. Hope this helps!Smile

Guest answered:

He will give a johto league Pokemon so choose chicorita if you already have a swampert and a groudon cos grass types are very are. Totodile is the strongest but I was wondering if after we get them do we start a johto journey in the same game cos if you don't wats the point of getting it???
