A good way is to lower it's health down to a really tiny bit and then use lots of timer balls, because they get better the longer you've been in battle.

Vasco answered:

You just have to make it's HP turn red, that means the lowest you can without killing them. The masterball catches them at the first try but there are other ball you can use. I caught Groudon with an ultraball, which is the second best ball. If the fight starts taking too long use timer balls but it's also a matter of luck because I caught Latios with a pokeball.

Hope I helped.

master ball

blastking answered:

All you do is just weaken them an use timerballs on them it's even better if thier a sleep and weak. Eventualy they will give out

Mercenary Rubia answered:

This is simple: Just get Ultra and Timers, they help. First you enter the battle, weaken with a stronger level Pokemon so fissure and sheer cold don't effect them. When weakened enough, throw a ultra ball at Kyogre/Groudon and if the battle lasts to long, use a timer ball, theres a good chance it'll catch it, just keep trying.

Save before the battle and on the first turn use quick ball when that doesnt work get the hp down to red and put to sleep or paralyze and use lots of ultra and dusk balls and if THOSE dont work use timer balls after 30 or 40 turns and if that doesnt work and you run out of balls or knock it out by accident reboot your game and try again.

skill issue
Fiqhi Strife answered:

That's easy for me. The first thing is to make the HP turn to red. After, if you want to catch KYOGRE use Net Ball or Dive Ball and if GROUDON just use ultra Ball.

Guest answered:

Get his health red... Make sure you get a critical hit with Fly if you own a rayquaza 70 level.... So that you dont have to take out a level 30 pokemon to sing him to sleep (its harder cuz he kills them). SO hes asleep and his health is low.... After that just throw and Ultra Ball and press the A and B button RAPIDLY. It should catch or be very close to catching.... :D

he is almost everywhere. to find him go to the weather institute and talk to the guy at the computer, he will tell you that there is a drought at route ____, that is where he is Smile
Guest answered:

Well I tried 5 times and I killed him 4... All you nedd is 50 great balls and 20 ultra balls...XD

Guest answered:

Its easy to catch Kyogre with Dive ball (97%) but to catch Groudon with Net ball is very hard (32%). You must get over 70 Net ball and over 20 revives and fully restores. (Without Rayquaza this isn,t work).

Guest answered:

I kept attacking with my lvl70 rayquaza until all of Groudon's pp was used up for every move and he started attacking with struggle. Then I put him to sleep and used ultra balls for the next few minutes.

pokemon legend
Guest answered:

When trying to catch a rare Pokemon you need to understand the formula that is used when catching. Each Pokemon has a catch rate, the lower the catch rate the harder it is to catch. Legendaries have extremely low catch rates. Next things like hp and status come into play, so you want it as low as possible and parylized asleep etc. (asleep has most effect). Then each ball you throw has a certain amount of effect. So as an ultra ball has a very high effect, most people forget about how a dive ball can be more effective when catching kyogre. And if you've been battling for a long time a timer ball will be extremely effective. Finally there is some luck involved. Every time you throw a ball a random number between 1 and 4000 I think is generated and plugged into the formula, and I'd the outcome is a high enough number the Pokemon is caught. So keep throwing balls at it again and again. This goes for any Pokemon but when catching a legendary you need to do everything right.

Guest answered:

I have Pokemon firered and emerald. When I played Pokemon FR, I was in a battle with a legendary bird Pokemon and I had no you-know-what. So I lowered it to 1 HP, put to sleep using Sing, and used all my Ultra Balls as well as my other balls. But still, no good. I think it's the same for Pokemon emerald. I guess you'll just have to rely on pure luck then. Hope this helps and good luck!

Guest answered:

All you do is keep attacking him till in red then put it to sleep after that throw poke balls and timer balls you want at lest 20 ultra balls 20 timer balls and 20 poke balls yes this will coast A LOT but it is worth it

Guest answered:

I fought it once and accidentally KO'd it, so I reloaded the game and tried again, this time not even trying to attack and just throwing a quick ball at the start of the battle and got it. Easily. Lot easier and faster (and less expensive) then fighting it into submission and wasting a bunch of poke balls on it.

Guest answered:

Well I actually caugth him with full HP after using rest with a pokeball when he was asleep. I hadde a maril in lvl 12 out when I did. And I feel like the luckyest guy alive

Guest answered:

First you can paralize, poisened or burn it will make it easy to catch it. Use a ultra ball to catch it.
