I've just been asked to head back to my ship, but the main elevator broke down, I've broken into the room to the left, but thers no exit there either, how can I get back?

I found out now, I got into the room on the right (srry, lol, I'm not very good with rights and lefts, I forgot to use my fingers the first time) shot a few power bombs, then shot some misssiles, there was one spot the missile just went right through, so I turned into morph ball and...yay.
