After you pick the starter you want and help prof.Birch he'll give you the Pokemon you choose then trade it on to a FireRed/LeafGreen Ruby/Sapphire or Emerald then restart game choose a different starter then once again he'll give it to you then trade it to the other game your using then restart again (yes again) the choose the last starter he'll give it to you and then trade the other two you had traded back to emerald and presto you have all three starters
