Introduction 2. Version History 3. Controls 4. Using the Travel Guide 5. Conclusion --------------- 1. Introduction --------------- Hi, and welcome to this quick FAQ for Frogger's Travel Guide. The game is part of a series of non-game titles for the Gameboy. This particular one serves as a database of restauraunts, places to stay, and local sites for many US cities. Unfortunately, the title is pretty much useless now, seeing as half of the restauraunts will have shut down by now, and almost all of the phone numbers you can call to book rooms etc. will all have been changed. As usual, if you've got any comments, need help, or want to request permission to host this file on your site, my email address can be found in the conclusion of this short guide. ------------------ 2. Version History ------------------ Version 1.00 - 13th August 2007 - 5kb ------------------------------------- First public version of this FAQ. Probably the only version I'll write, but who knows. ----------- 3. Controls ----------- Directional pad - Choose between all the available options A button - Make your selection B button - Go back to the previous screen START + SELECT - Not used in this title The controls aren't the most sensative, so be prepared for some frustrating button mashing to reach the option you're aiming for. ------------------------- 4. Using the Travel Guide ------------------------- When you turn on the game, you'll be allowed to choose between a list of cities and a list of telephone numbers. The list of telephone numbers will list all 200 of the different venues in alphabetical order, should you be looking for a specific place. The list if cities is far more complicated, so it is this that I shall be explaining in this section. Use the up and down directional buttons to choose between the list of cities. For the purpose of this FAQ, I'm going to use Honolulu. Press A to confirm your selected city. You'll now need to choose from the following: EMERGANCY INFO - This will give you the phone numbers and locations of police stations etc. HOTELS - Select this option for booking numbers and locations of the hotels in your chosen city. RESTAURANTS - Like the HOTELS option, this will show you what the restaurants are and where they are found. There is a submenu that allows you to select which type of restaurant you're looking for, whether it be seafood or Indian cuisine. SIGHTS - This lists all of the tourist attractions. For Honolulu, there are subsections for: - ARCHITECTURE - HISTORIC SIGHTS - MUSEUMS/GALLERIES - PARKS/BEACHES - TOURS - ZOOS & THEME PARKS ARTS/NIGHTLIFE - Included here, are lists of all the nightclubs, as well as more indepth information such as the exact type of club, and more phone numbers. SHOPPING - It lists all the good department stores, Shopping Malls and even speciality stores. TRANSPORTATION - Here you can find taxi numbers, and details of all the airlines flying to your chosen city. SPORTS - Select 'SPORTS' for information on golf courses, swimming pools and other sporting activities. GENERAL INFO - You can find the address for the Government offices in this section, as well as miscellaneous places of interest, such as the 'Hawaii Visitors Bureau'. That's pretty much everything there is to know about this title. If you need any more information, or have some to provide, email me (contact details are found below). ------------- 5.
