Welcome to another FAQ of mine. This one covers the GameBoy game Bionic
Battler, a rather unique game; in fact, the first I've played of its type.
Running through a labyrinth, facing robots in a first-person view... Never
played such a game.
But now is as good a time to start as any. Enjoy.

~~ D-Pad : Move around; cycle through menus.
~~ A Button : Punch; confirm choice. Note that, to punch, you must be next
to the enemy on the map.
~~ B Button : Hold and release to use missiles (hit up to three tiles
away).
~~ Start Button : Begin game; pause/unpause game.
~~ Select Button: N/A.
~~ L/R Buttons : These only have functions on the GBA SP and GameBoy Player
ways of playing the game. They will widen/narrow the screen,
respectively. Otherwise, N/A.

The Game Screen

We'll cover things in a clockwise motion, starting the top-left.
At the top-left, you'll find your radar. The closer you are to an enemy, the
more it fills.
At the top-center, that's ... what you see.
At the top-right, your energy. This is your health, of sorts, which only will
decrease over time. It runs out, the game is over.
At the bottom-right, your vitality (true health/HP) (V) and missile (M) charge
meters. Vitality will decrease as you are physically damaged. The missile gauge
will fill as you hold the B Button for longer; the more filled the missile
meter, the farther the missile will fly, up to three tiles. If your vitality
empties, you lose. (Yes, you only get one life.)
At the bottom-center, a 2D overhead map of the level. You're the triangle-thing
and anything else is a question mark (?). The thin lines are walls.
At the bottom-left, enemy vitality (V) and missile (M) meters.

Now, granted, there is no possibility for a true walkthrough, okay? The best
anyone can probably do is mention the levels and some tips. I would do more,
but given that each level is defined, all of the enemies are the same, and the
game is real-time...
Each level is actually its own playthrough. Seriously. I don't know who came up
with that concept and just didn't say "Difficulty", but whatever. Each level
will have it's own number of robots:
~~ Level 1: 3 robots.
~~ Level 2: 4 robots.
~~ Level 3: 5 robots.
~~ Level 4: 6 robots.
~~ Level 5: 7 robots.
There is one almost-foolproof strategy to winning this game. Remember that
radar in the top-left corner of the screen? Watch it and move around until it
is less than half-filled. While you move around, hold B and continue to keep
the radar bar low until you it the missile bar (M in the lower-right) is fully
filled. Head to an enemy and, when you can see it (do NOT get right next to
it), release the missiles, then punch it into submission.
Rinse and repeat. That is all it takes on any level. With a bit of practice,
you'll be blazing through levels without being damaged!
