How do I get more than 1 eevee in Pokemon gold?

I want more eeveelutions.

The best way I know is to get a Ditto and put the Eevee (or whatever you evolved it into) and the Ditto in the Pokemon Daycare on Route 34. Then bike/run until you notice an old man standing outside the daycare. He should be in the gate with the Pokemon. Then talk to him and he should offer you an egg. Take it and bike/run some more until it hatches. There'll be an Eevee in the egg if you put the Ditto and Eevee in.
