So I bought Pokémon Silver and found out it didn't save. I then replaced the battery and found out it saved fine. But whenever I put it down, it will delete the save. At first I thought it was because I was missing the screw, because I lost it. But when that didn't work, I had no clue. I tried on a Gameboy Advanced SP and a Gameboy Color and have the same results. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I would recommend getting a new game that actually works. It seems to me that the game you have is broke. It would be far easier to just get another game cartridge.
Hope this helps!
This happens to me too, all the time with my Gold version, I'll tell you it is not the battery but it is the cartridge, the Gold/Silver/Crystal games were made in the year 2000, they are old and probably withering away, causing the game to delete the save a lot.
