No, I'm afraid once you beat the youngster, you'll have to restart to get Mew.

Trade Kadabra to another version and it'll evolve. Trade back and you'll have an Alakazam.

darkboarder_77 answered:

Evolve Kadabra by trading him. He doesn't need to be holding anything.

hieione answered:

First of all ultimate cheaterits not the gamble that you have to beat its the person in the water in the second Gym and it is the youngster but you cant beat him at all I haven't beaten him yet this works to catch hole bunch of pokemon, each trianer has a diffrent pokemon and somethings you might get the same one like two three times I got a gangar this way and the only way that I found to get kadabra to evole is to Trade it I haven't found one through the cheat to get a hole bunch of pokemon and I caught a level 7 mewtwo and trianed it to level 100 with out and rarecandy same with mew.

darkboarder_77 answered:

There are six ways in the game to get Mew... You don't have to restart the game. On the other hand, I'm a little too lazy right now to make another one of my famous collosal Submissions on this... If you want to see of some alternate ways to get Mew, visit my Pokemon Blue forum in the Message Boards.

nintendo_dude answered:

Don't beat the Youngster or you won't encounter Mew.
To evolve Kadabra Trade him to a different game and trade him back. This way he will evolve into Alakazaam.

darkboarder_77 answered:

Nintendo_Dude is wrong... Like I said, there are 6 ways to get Mew. In Cerulean City, one of the Swimmers in Misty's Gym will result in a Mew if you do the Mew Glitch with that Trainer instead. This is the backup Trainer if you accidentally have beaten the Youngster with the Slowpoke.

Hey darkboarder_77 can you help,
I did the Mew Glitch in Cerulean successfully and have now progressed through the game to Victory Road. I however don't have muliple versions (I have Red) and obviously wanna catch 'em all! I have just come across the special stats variation of the Mew Glitch involving Ditto, to get any Pokemon (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about).
Unfortunately I have already beaten the gambler you glitch in order to do this, please tell me there's another way.
Like, can I reuse the Cerulean trainers and fly to Ditto's area and do it that way? All guides say they have to be adjacent towns, is that true?
Fingers crossed you know what I'm on about at least!
Cheers Smile
