Equip the googles at the start of the game as they will enable you to see easier through sandstorms and the first one appears a few seconds into the first level.

You will be able to run faster when you have 'Pair of Boots' equipped, you will though need to maneuver quicker around groups of mummies so you avoid getting hit.

Crossbow

Don't neglect to use the crossbow, although primitive looking this weapon is both effective and fast-loading.

The shotgun can easily clear a path directly in front of you with one powerful shot. Always use the shotgun if you want your shot to pack power.

If you are confronted by a large group of mummies the machine gun will be the most effective weapon for clearing a path as it holds plenty of ammunition.

When selecting the weapons loadout the best options are the machine gun and the shotgun.
