Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC. Take a look at our cheats and tips to get help in the game.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a Japanese-Style 2D side-scrolling action role-playing game where you explore a labyrinthine series of rooms presented as a platform game. The game combines adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town's rise from the ashes. Drawn by lenses and other treasure in the nearby Runebarrows, our heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they will resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don't think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they'll learn more about each other's reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should complete all the quests and why it is important to rest in town. As well as these hints and tips, we also have a Beginners Guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:
To begin with in Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising there will only be one quest available you need to complete to progress the story. Eventually as you progress through the game things will begin to open up more. In order to have the best character possible you need to make sure you do every quest. It is recommended that you plan expeditions around quests to save time travelling around the map. For example, when entering the forest, finish every quest there before moving on. Completing quests will produce stamps, and once enough are collected, the village will level up and offer new opportunities.
In Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising you have two types of bags that you can use to collect the items you find in dungeons, and it is important that you understand how they work. Your stowbag has slots which can be used to equip items like healing potions. To begin with you will only have a few slots but once the item has been used you will be able to equip the empty slot again at the dungeon entrance or in town.
The other bag you have is the resource bag and this is used to gather crafting materials. To begin with you will only be able to hold 50 items. Make sure whenever you reach a new signpost you travel back to the entrance, empty your resource bag, and then warp back to continue your adventure.
Even though Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising is not a hard game it is inevitable that your character will take damage, this means it is important that you don't forget to rest up in your house in town to recover and also save your progress. Keep in mind whenever you do this you will reset the world, including the monsters and resources, and it will remove any buffs you have. Later in the game you will be able to build an Inn where you will be able to bathe to temporarily increase your stats.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is similar to a Metroidvania game in that you will need to unlock new equipment and skills to explore further. You will get access to the forest and quarry areas early in the campaign, and it will take a while before they are fully opened up. To get through certain areas you will need specific progression tools. These include a pickaxe to mine for ore and Garoo's sword which can break through rock.
