You will have more success getting wickets if you bowl to your player's strength, if the player is a precise bowler then line and length over and over again will get wickets. A brute can pitch it in short, and with the right perks, can get wickets by sheer pace, and short ball/full ball tactics. Above all you need to be patient, find an area where the batsman isn't particularly comfortable and start hitting that spot repeatedly using swing/seam consistently. Then you bring one back in/out randomly or you change the pace.
