Got a cheat or hot tip for this game? Found a secret, or a strategy for success?

Optimize Your Inventory

The first thing you should use your Nook Miles on at the Nook Stop is to unlock the maximum inventory capacity of 40 item slots so you get more room in your pockets. With the extra inventory space you will be able to keep plenty of crafting items with you at all times which will enaable you to craft something you need immediately without having to look for the materials. Several items stack, but once you get 30 pieces of something like wood, it will automatically start using a new inventory slot.

Use Fruit to Move Trees Around

Eating a piece of fruit in Animal Crossing: New Horizon will not only give you the super power to hit a rock with your shovel or stone axe and break it but also enable you to move trees around without having to chop them up and replant them like in previous Animal Crossing games. Once you have activated your fruit-eating powers in Animal Crossing: New Horizon you will be able to use your shovel to dig up a tree which will then get stashed inside your pocket for easy planting.

How to Craft Faster

You can speed up the process of having to wait through the animations every time you craft something new by pressing the A button on your controller several times in quick succession. Don't forget to do this as it will save you a lot of time.

Shake Every Tree on Mystery Island Tours

Make sure when you do a Mystery Island Tour you shake all the trees there. The reasons you should do this is because there is always a piece of furniture hiding in one of them. You must be careful though as there is also always one wasp nest that will also fall so you need to have your net ready in order to catch the wasps before they attack. To do this you need to quickly tap the A button on your controller as you face them.

Time Cheat

By adjusting the time and date settings of your console you can cheat time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Manipulating time will help you to do things like quickly finish building upgrades, give you more fossils to find, and reset your daily tasks. The downside to tampering with the time is that it can cause your relationships with your villagers to deteriorate and you might mess up your ability to participate in special events since they won't begin unless you are synced up to the internet.

The following steps will advance your game by one day.

1) Save your game by pressing the minus button on your left Joy-Con.
2) Close Animal Crossing: New Horizon by pressing the Home button and then pressing X.
3) Go to the system settings menu and scroll down to 'System', then scroll to 'Date & Time'.
4) Uncheck the box that syncs your Switch's internal clock to the internet. Then move the date forward exactly one day.
5) Reopen Animal Crossing: New Horizon and start the game, then save again.
6) Repeat steps 1 to 3, but this time check the box that syncs your in-game clock to the internet.

Note: Keep in mind when you advance your game that it will rot turnips.
