My name is Kambel and I enjoy creating guides and walkthroughs that help other succeed in playing various games. Now, I would like to thank you for choosing my walkthrough as your how-to guide. I'me very pleased. Before we start on the game's step-by-step, I would like to mention that this game is highly addictive. If you do not wish to be hooked on this game, feel free to delete the app. If you are brave enough to try it, then welcome to the awesome Strategy game known as Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North. Starting a game [Walk3.2]------ ---------------- Remember, once you start the game, you will be under Beginner's Protection, this will last for 7 days or until your Castle reches level 5. I would not upgrade my Castle to level 5 until a few minutes before your Beginner's Protect runs out. This way you will be given 7 days to build your city before you are vulnerable to attacks. But we will discuss this later on. Now to start a game, you will have to follow the in-game tutorial. You can turn off the tutorial later on. Once you have finished the tutorial, the first thing you should do is to give yourself a new name. To change your screen name, you must click the "Level/Might/Name" button found on the city screen in the top left-hand corner. Once you have opened it up, a new screen will appear. This creen will have three tabs. The tabs are "Details" "Cities" and "World". The main screen will have the "Details" tab open. The other two tabs we will discuss later on. If you look near the bottom of this screen, you should see a white bar. Click on this. Now insert the screen name you wish to use for yourself. Once done, press the "Use" button. Congrats, you have just changed your name. Now, the next thing we need to do is build some Cottages for your townspeople. To do so, click on an empty lot anywhere in the city. Now click on "Cottages" and now click on "Build". You are going to need at least 4 Cottages. Level up those Cottages to level 2. Leveling up your buildings [walk3.3]------ -------------------------- To level up your buildings to a higher level, simply tap on a House or a Barrack or any building of your choice. If you have the correct amount of resources and you meet the proper requirements, a blue button will appear. It will say "Upgrade" on it. Tap it to upgrade your building. After you have upgraded your Cottages to level 2, you should go build some ressource farms. To access your ressource fields, you can tap on the little button found in the bottom left-hand side of the screen. You are going to want more ressource buildings. First, upgrade your "Farm" to level 5. Once you have a level 5 farm, you will be able to build stables. Next build 3 more farms in the empty lots next to your first farm. The next thing you are going to wanna do is to build a couple of Sawmills Once you have finished, scroll the menu bar, found at bottom of the screen (it will show "Shop", "Quest", "Alliance" and "Mail"). Scroll the menu bar to the left. You will now see 4 new menus. The one we are going to need is "Settings". Once you have opened the "Settings" menu, click on the "Kabam ID". Next, click on "Create a new Kabam ID account". You will need to register this game with an email and password. Doing this will allow you to save your game progress and be able to participate in in-game events. You will also be able to continue your game on a different device, should you decide to. Once you have finished registering, return to the city screen. By now you should be a Level 3 player. If your not a Level 3 player yet, simply continue to build and upgrade your buildings until you have leveled up. Now, the next task is to build yourself an Embassy. This will only take you 15 seconds. When you have built your Embassy, you will be able to Create or Join an Alliance. To join or create an alliance, scroll the menu bar to the right, if you haven't already done so. Now I recommend Joining an alliance for now. This is the biggest challenge you must overcome... Choosing the right alliance to join. Choosing the right alliance can be very difficult. Each alliance has their own set of rules and have some requirements that must be matched before anyone can join. You are going to need an Active and helpful alliance, one that can also help you by donating extra resources for you so as you won't go dry while you are building your city. Finding one Alliance that matches these demands out of many can be frustrating. You don't wanna go joining one because they have a name that you like, that can sometimes in itself lead to danger. Choosing the right Alliance [walk3.4]------ --------------------------- When choosing an alliance, you will need to make sure that they can meet your needs. To choose the best alliance, it may be wise to send a message to their Regent or any other player within the guild. When sending the message, it would be best to ask them some of the following questions, as to make sure that your making the right decision. Remember, they have to be willing to help you through and through. The questions you should ask are: You must search for an alliance that is as active as your going to be, so your first question should be: 1. How active is your alliance? Next, you will need members who will be willing to help you grow strong and powerful, so your next question should be: 2. Would your alliance be able to provide me with help whenever I am in need, no matter what the issue may be? You are going to need an alliance that will have your back when your in trouble, so you need to ask: 3. If I get attacked by someone, depending on how big the attacker and his troops may be, would you be willing to reinforce me or at least attack him back, should the occasion ever arise? Next, you need to make sure that they can supply you with adequate resources so your next question aught to be: 4. If I run out of resources while I'm building or Training, would your alliance be willing to supply me with an adequate amount? You need to know if an alliance is at war with any other alliances, so you'll want to ask: 5. Is your alliance currently at war with two or more alliances? Now the following will be categories on which you may have to make a preference on when it comes to choosing an alliance. 1. Do I wanna be a might hugger or do I wanna use my powerful army to attack other players? 2. Do I care about being a top ranked player, if so do I need to be in a Top 10 allliance? 3. Do I want an alliance that's always chatting about in the chat room or do I want an alliance that will sit back and take action over peace ? Remember, when choosing an alliance that's right for you, they have to meet your criteria. Never forget that each player is different, so their views on what a perfect alliance for them will always be different. Now the next section I will cover will be how to train Troops and grow your might. Building Might [Walk3.5]------ -------------- First off, ask yourself this: "What is Might?" The answer "Might is the total calculation of how many troops you have at your disposal. Might is an indicator of how powerful you are. Might will determine who will win in an all out war or in a one-on-one battle royale. Might is your friend. When building might, you first must have the following requirements: - You must have at least 4 barracks built. The more barracks you have, the faster your troop training will be. Also, the more barracks you have built, will allow you to train more troop sequences. For example, if I have a total of 5 barracks built, i can set up a queue of 5 different troops to be trained all at once. - One of those barracks must be at least level 4 or higher. You only need 1 barrack to be a high level. The higher the level, the better the troops you can train. There are 3 Tiers of troops. To train the 1st tier, you need at least a Level 1-4 barrack. to train the Tier 2 troop set, your barracks need to be at least s level 4 - 6 barrack and to train a Tier 3 troop set, you will reuire a level 7-10 barrack. How the more barracks you have built thing works is: If you have 1 level 9 barrack and 3 level 1 barracks, then using the level 1 barracks you can still train any of the 3 different Tier troops. - You will need to have the following reserches at level 4 or higher: - Geometry; Metal Alloys; Featherweight Powder, Alloy Horseshoes; Fletching and Posioned Edge. - You will require to have a Wall built to build Wall Defenses. However, I would not recommend building any kind of Wall Defenses. They may be the fastest to build, but they are the easiest to lose. Troops [walk3.6]------ ------ Your troops are used to: - Protect your city from attack; - Attack other players; - Conquer wilds; - Attack Pictish Camps. Each troop type has a Might value that contributes to your overall Might score. Increase your Might to show others you are the strongest leaedr in Camelot. Unit Types and Modifiers: ------------------------- Remember, there are 4 different types of Troops per Tier. There are 4 distinct classes of units: Foot, Ranged, Mounted, and Supply. Each class is divided into three tiers: - Foot: Militiamen; Swordsmen; battering rams; - Ranged: Archers; Ballistae; Catapults; - Mounted: Light Calvary; Cavalry; Heavy Cavalry; - Supply: Supply Troops; Supply Carts; Supply Wagons; Supply troops have no attacking power; Ranged troops have bonus against Foot troops; Foot troops have bonus against Mounted Troops; Mounted troops have bonus agaisnt Ranged troops. Higher-tier troops will defeat lower-tier troops even if they are weak against the opposing troop class. Troop Statistics ---------------- Each unit in the game has statistics that reflect its strength. Statistics for regular units can be viewed by going to the Barracks, selecting 'Train Troops' and tapping the troop type. Statistics for Wall Defenses can be viewed by going to the wall and selecting 'Train Defenses' followed by the defense type. Troop statistics are: Attack: How much damage the unit deals in battle; Life: How much damage the unit can absorb before it is destroyed; Speed: How quickly the unit can march on the map; Load: How much loot (Gold or resources) the unit can carry. Knights and Research ------------------- The level of your Knights and research can also impact the outcome of a battle. Specifically, the higher the level of the Knight assigned to march, and the level of your Poisoned Edge and Healing Potions research, the better your chance of victory. Hide Troop option ----------------- The Hide Troop feature is located inside your Castle. Hidden troops cannot fight to defend your city, but they cannot be killed by attackers either. Defending troops can significantly increase your defensive capabilities, but they can be destroyed by a superior attacker. The troops you lose might be more valuable than the resssources that can be looted. **The Life, and Attacks of the different troops will be added in a later update. Sorry for this inconveniance. Buildings [walk3.7]------ --------- In this section I will we will be discussing the different type of buildings you will be using during your game-play. We will start with the most important building of the game, that is the Keep. Castle ---- The Castle is the heart of your city. Upgrade to unlock more field resource plots and Wilds. Tax Rate and Happiness ---------------------- Gold is required for a variety of in-game activities including research and paying salaries to Knights assigned to roles at the Knight's Hall. Your Gold income depents on your tax rate and your Population. Raising the tasx rate decreases Happiness, which can lead to a drop in Population (See Population Help under home) Hide Troop Option ----------------- The hide troops feature is located inside your Castle. Beginner's Protection --------------------- Every new player is granted Beginner's Protection. Beginners cannot be attacked or scouted by other players for their first 7 days or until their Castle reaches level 5, whichever comes first. Use this period to build up your city and troops to prepare for the battles to come! While under Beginner's Protection, you may still put your troops to the test by attacking Pictish Camps and unoccupied Wilds. You may opt out of Beginner's Protection by attacking another player before the 7 days are up. Once your beginner's protection has expired, your cities can be attacked by other players. Cities can be defended by troops and Wall Defenses. You may extend your Beginner's Protection or declare peace at any time by purchasing Protection Rune items from the Shop. Storehouse ---------- The Storehouse protects your Food, Wood, Stone, and Ore from being plundered. Resources --------- Resources are used to upgrade buildings, build troops and complete research. THere are five main resources: Food, Wood, Stone, Ore and Gold. Food, Wood, Stone, and Ore are produced by Farms, Sawmills, Quarries, and Mines, respectively. Your Resource production can be increased by: -Building more Field plots; -Conquering Wilds; -Appointing a Knight to the Steward position; -Conducting Research; -Using production Boost items. All of the above resources (except Gold) can be protected by your store- house. The higher level the Storehouse, the higher the protection limit. Gold is produced by Taxing your Population, increasing the number and level of Cottages can help lead to more Gold. You may adjust your Tax rate in your Castle. Resources can be transferred to Alliance members, or between your own cities. Embassy ------- The Embassy allows you to join or create alliances, and also houses reinforcing armies from your allies. Alliances --------- Alliances play an important role in Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North. Join an Alliance to share resources, coordinate attacks, socialize, and share tips and tricks on how to play more successfully. Protect yourself from the perils of Camelot by joining an Alliance today! Join ---- To join an Alliance, simply tap on the Alliance tab and then on the Find an Alliance button. You'll see all Alliances listed in order of Might. You will see a red dot with a White "X" and a Green Dot with a white checkmark next to some of the Alliances names. They are used to help indicate if you meet the Alliances set requirements to join or not. The red dot with the "X" indicates that you cannot join that teams alliance. You need to search for ones with a green dot and a Checkmark next to the name to qualify. Or simply have an alliance send you a request by posting a message in the Global Chat room. Tap the envelope icon to send a request to join. You will be notified via in-game messages if you are accepted into an Alliance. Create an Alliance ------------------ You may want to create your own alliance, become Chancellor and climb up the Alliance rankings by acquiring new members and working with them to defeat others! Reinforcements -------------- You can only reinforce and be reinforced by players from your own alliance. You can receive a number of reinforcing armies up to the level of your Embassy. In other words, if you have a Level 5 Embassy, you can receive five reinforcing armies, each with an unlimited number of troops. Remember, all troops reinforcing your city will consume Food. Reports ------- As a member of an Alliance, you can view all the scout and march reports for every member in that alliance. However, if a player has deleted a march report in their own Reports folder, it will also be deleted in the Alliance Reports folder. Alliance Chat ------------- One of the biggest advantages of being a member of an Alliance is the ability to socialize and coordinate with your fellow Alliance members. To view alliance chat, tap on the chat bart and then the Alliance tab on the top. Alliance Messaging ------------------ Alliance officers can send mass messages to all Alliance members by tapping Alliance and then the Message Everyone button on the Info tab. Diplomacy --------- Alliance officers can set diplomacy for other alliances in the world. The three options for diplomacy are: Hostile, Friendly, and Neutral. All Freindly settings must be reciprocated. In other words, if Alliance A marks Alliance B as Friendly, Alliance B must reciprocate with the same setting for Alliance A for the official Diplomacy setting of Friendly to take effect. A Hostile setting will take effect immediately and does not require reciprocation. Relief Station -------------- The Relief Station helps your troops' Speed when you're moving between your own cities and allies' cities. Upgrade to improve Speed. The Relief Station increases your troops' march speed between your cities and to your allie's cities. This means a decrease in the amount of time it takes them to transport, reinforce or be reassigned. The more you up- grade the Relief Station, the faster they will march. Watch Tower ----------- The Watch Tower is used to send early warnings for invasions. The higher its level, the more detailed information you gain. Levels ------ You will be provided information on incoming attacks based on the level of your Watch Tower: Level 1: Warns you of an impending attack Level 2: Increases your scouting efficiency Level 3: Tells you the time until arrival of an impending attack Level 4: Tells you the level and alliance of the player attacking you. Level 5: Tells you the estimated number of troops involved in the attack. Level 6: Tells you the troop types involved in the attack. Level 7: Tells you the estimated number of each troop type involved in the attack. Level 8: Tells you the exact number of each troop type invoved in the attack. Level 9: Tells you the level of the Knight leading the attack. Level 10: Tells you the exact Research levels of the player sending the attack. Incoming Attack --------------- If you are in the game and have an incoming attack on your city or wilds, you will be notified by a red icon with cross swords appearing on the top left of the game window. To see the details of that incoming attack, tap on the icon, or the Watch Tower and then the Incoming Attacks tab. On the preceeding Screen, tap the ">" button to see the details of a specific attack. The information provided will be based on the level of your Watch Tower. PLease note that if the attack is targeting an occupied wild, information will be provided based on the Watch Tower level of the City that occupes that wild. Mists of Avalon --------------- If you want to prevent enemies from scouting you, you could buy the Mist of Avalon item in the Watch Tower, this item lasts for 24 hours. City Wall --------- Walls protect your City. Your Defensive units are built on your Wall. Upgrade to build better Defensive Units. Defense Troops in Wall ---------------------- Wall Defenses are used to Defend your City from incoming attacks. Building up your Wall Defenses is a good way to defend your city, boost your Power and intimidate other players in the game. These Defenses are not Troops, but they do have their own Might Values. Unlike Troops these Defenses cannot be set to 'Hide' or 'Defend;' they are always 'active.' Similar to troops in your Barracks, Wall Defenses are divided into 3 different types: * Ground (Caltrops, Spiked Barrier, Persian Sulfer) * Artillery (Traps, Boiling Oil, Greek Fire) * Horse (Wall-mounted Crossbows, Defensive Trebuchet, Hellfire Thrower) The same modifiers apply in combat: 1. Artillery Defenses have bonus against Ground Troops; 2. Ground Defenses have bonus against Cavalry Troops; 3. Cavalry Defenses have bonus gaianst Artillery Troops. Cottages -------- Cottages provide a place for your subjects to live. Upgrade to provide better cottages, and raise your Population. Population ---------- Population consits of the people in your city. Building Cottages adds to the population Limit, which is the maximum number of people a player is able to have in their city at one time. The happier the Population, the closer the Population value will come to the population limit. You can boost your Population to the limit temporarily by using the "Fertile Winds" item. Idle Population is the number of people available to put to work in Fields and to train for Troops. Idle Population still contributes to tax income. Barracks -------- Train your troops in the Barracks. Stronger troops require a higher Barracks level. Build more Barracks to speed up training. Units/Troops ------------ Your Troops are used to protect your City from being plundered, and for attacking Wilds, Pict Camps as well as other Players. Each Troop has a Might Value that contributes to your overall 'Might' in the game. Increase your Might to show others that you are the strongest and mightiest Knight in the North! Unit Stats ---------- Each unit in the game has stats that you can see by opening the Barracks. Here is what they mean: * Attack: This is how much damage each unit can deal * Life: This is how much damage each unit can absorb beforee it is destroyed * Speed: This stat determines how long it takes that unit to march to another point on the map * Load: This is how much resource or gold each unit can take back to your city if an attackk is successful. Units are divided into 5 tiers, troops in higher tiers have stronger stats and are more powerful. * Tier 1 (Militiamen, Archers, Light Cavalry, Supply Troops) * Tier 2 (Swordsmen, Ballistae, Cavalry, Supply Carts) * Tier 3 (Battering Rams' Catapults, Heavy Cavalry, Supply Wagons) * Tier 4 (No Data yet available) * Tier 5 (No data yet available) Unit Types and Modifiers ------------------------ There are 4 distinct types of units in each tier, each tier has 1 troop from each combat type: * Ground (Militiamen, Swordsmen, Battering Ram) * Artillery (Archers, Ballistae, Catapults) * Cavalry (Light Cavalry, Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry) * Supply (Supply Troop, Supply Cart, Supply Wagon) The unit types all have specified strengths and weaknesses against each other (with the exception of Supply troops which have no attacking power). Artillery Troops have bonus against Ground Troops; Ground Troops have bonus against Cavalry Troops; Cavalry Troops have bonus against Artillery Troops. Higher tier troops will defeat lower tier troops even if they are weak against the opposing troop type. Knights and Research -------------------- The level of your Knights and research can also impact the outcome of a battle. Specifically, the higher the level of the Knight assigned to march and the level of your Poisoned Edged and Healing Potions, the better your chance of winning. Hide Troop Option ----------------- The Hide Troops feature is located inside your Castle. You can turn on Hide Troops if you would like to avoid losing Troop when you are under attack, this allows you to build up your Troops and fight another day. Defending with troops can significantly increase your defensive capabilities, but it is a risky strategy because troops defending can be destroyed by a superior attacker, and because the value of your troops might be greater than the value of the resources that could be looted. Rally Point ----------- Assemble your troops at the Rally Point to Attack enemies, Reinforce allies, or Transport resources. Upgrade to send more troops. March ----- Marches are how you move around on the World Map. There are 3 types of Marches: Attack, Reinforce, and Transport. Attack: You can attack Wilds, Pict Camps as well as other Players. Each Attack must be led by a Knight. The amount of Troops that you can send and the number of simultaneous marches are determined by the level of your Rally Point. Reinforce: You can reinforce Wilds that you own as well as cities of Alliance members. Remember, reinforced troops will consume food resource when in Alliance cities. The number of armies allowed to reinforce an Alliance city is determined by the level of the Embassy in that city. Transport: Show some love and support an Alliance member by transporting resources to them. Transport marches do not require a Knight. Scout ----- Helps you learn vital information about locations on the Map. Scouting is free, but you are limited to launching one Scout at a time and it does take time for information to be collected. Research higher levels of Eagle Eyes to yield more information on each Scout. Alternately, you can purchase Instant Scout with Gems, which produces Scout reports with information equivalent to level 10 Eagle Eyes. Map --- The World Map is where the action is at. Attack and conquer wilds, loot Pict Camps, and attack enemies or help friends. Using the World Map: Swipe your finger to move around the World Map. Tap on an individual tile to bring up that tile's details, tap the tile again to close the details pop-up. Tap with two fingers to toggle on/off indivi- dual tile levels. The buttons at the top of the screen allow you to (from left): Center the map on your city, open your saved Bookmarks, and jump to specific coordinates on the map. There are three types of map tiles on the World Map: Wilds, Pict Camps, and Cities. Wilds help boost your resource production. Different wilds boost different resources, for example, owning a level 6 Grassland will boost your food production by 30%. To own a Wild, you must attack it and win the battle. You can only own a limited number of Wilds, upgrade your Castle to own more. You can abandon a Wild that you own by going to the Castle. Pict Camps are owned by the evil King Drust. Attack them and return home with valuable resources! Higher level Pict Camps are harder to beat, but also hold more resources. You cannot own a Pict Camp. Cities represent other users in the game. If you are in an Alliance, your Alliance cities will be displayed with a blue flag, hostile alliances will have a red flag displayed. Combat Mechanics ---------------- In Battle for the North, players can train troops and use them to attack Wilds, Pict Camps, and other players. Conquering Wilds can help boost your resource production, while attacking Pict Camps and other players can be a good source of additional resources. Attack and Scout ---------------- How to send out an attack: 1. Find your target in the map view 2. Tap on that tile 3. Tap 'Attack' 4. Choose the Knight you would like to use 5. Choose the type and amount of troops that you would like to March 6. Select Use or Buy combat boost items if desired 7. Tap 'Attack' 8. You may tap on Speed Up, Instant Finish March or wait for your troops to reach the target. 9. After the troops are done fighting, you will receive a battle report inside your Mail, under Report. You may also choose to first scout and better learn about your target before attack. Scout reports are placed inside your Mail, under Reports, remeber, you can gather more information by researching higher levels of Eagle Eyes. Alchemy Lab ----------- The Alchemy Lab is where to research new and better Technologies. Upgrading allows you to engage in more complicated research. Research -------- In Battle for the North, you can Research Technologies in the Alchemy Lab to advance Resource production, increase your effectiveness in Combat, decrease Construction time and more! Blacksmith ---------- The Blacksmith creates all the metal weapons and armor for your troops. Upgrade for more advanced weaponry and armor. Workshop -------- The Workshop is necessary to build Siege Weapons, such as Ballistae, Trebuchet, and Catapults. Knight's Hall ------------- The Knights' Hall is where you manage your Knights' roles and experience. Upgrade to unlock more Knights. Knights ------- Knights lead your armies and give valuable boosts to your troops and city. To recruit more knights, upgrade your Knight's Hall. Knights earn more ex- perience points (needed to level up) from battle and via items in the shop You can also assign your Knights to a position within your city. As long as the Knight is assigned to a position, they will provide boosts to your City, however, they require gold for their salary and will not be available for marches. Stables ------- Stables are necessary for Cavalry. Upgrade Stables to research higher levels of Alloy Horseshoes. Round Tower ----------- The Round Tower holds Crests. Find Crests by attacking Pict Camps. Finish Crest sets to earn special items. Round Tower ----------- The Round Tower is where you store your Crests, and where you can combine them into useful items such as Second City Deeds. Upgrading your Round Tower increases your chance of discovering Relics when you attack Pictish Camps. Farm ---- Farms produce Food, important for buildings and for feeding your troops. Higher levels produce more Food. Resources --------- Resources are used to upgrade Buildings, build Troops and complete Research. There are five main resources: Food, Wood, Stone, Ore, and Gold. Food, Wood, Stone, and Ore are produced by Farms, Sawmills, Quarries, and Mines, respectively. Your Resource production can be increased by building more Field Plots, conquering Wilds, appointing a Knight to the Steward position, conducting Research, and also by using Production Boost items. All of the Above resources (except Gold) can be protected by your Store- house. The higher level the Storehouse, the higher the protection limit. Gold is produced by Taxing your Population, increasing the number and level of Cottages can help lead to more Gold. You may adjust your Tax rate in your Castle. Resources can be transfered to Alliance members, or between your own cities. Sawmill ------- Sawmills provide wood, necessary for buildings and for training troops. The Game Screen (City and Field view) [Walk3.8]------ ------------------------------------- The following is a text-view screen shot of the game's main City and Field view screens. There will also be a legend associated with the image. '-------------------------------------------------------------------------' Alliance diplomacy and settings [walk3.16]----- ------------------------------- One of the biggest rules about being in an alliance is to know how to read the flags found on the map. There are two color flags: blue and red. As you may have already guessed, a red flag indicates a tile that is being occupied by an enemy of an alliance whose diplomacy is set to hostile against your alliance. Those occupying a red flag, are an imediate threat to you and to your allies. These players must be attacked without warning and without permission from your alliance leaders. As for the tiles that are marked with a blue flag, these are players are belonging to an alliance whose diplomacy is set to Friendly against your alliance. Blue Flags also indicate the location of a city or wild that is being occupied by one of your alliance members. Remember, an easier way to find out who you are friendly and hostile with, tap on the 'Alliance' tab found at the bottom of the screen, then tap on the 'Your Diplomacy with other Alliances' button that is found on the main window that appears. Now look at the list of all the alliances that you are Firendly or Hostile with. Finding your enemies [walk3.17]----- -------------------- There are many ways to find out the location of your enemy's City or Wild. One of the best ways that I prefer for doing this, is to access the map database found online at http://kocbattle.weezeewig.com and select your world. Now once you have access to the map, enter "user:" followed by the name of the player you are looking for, ex "user:Luchia" into the Search box. Now select "Serach". If all goes well, youy should see a list or a cluster of the user's current city and conquered wilds locations in relation to its position on the map. Another way is to wait for them to attack you, then read the Attack Report to see who attacked you, where they attacked you and where the attack came from in relation to the map, i.e. the Coordinates. One last way of finding your enemies is to thoroughly checdk each section and segment of the map by hand. Doing this last one, will take about 6-8 hours, if doine non-stop. I wouldn't recommend it. The Global and Alliance ChatRoom [walk3.18]----- -------------------------------- There exists currently twoi types of Chatrooms in the game, one is known as 'Global' and the other as 'Alliance'. If you have not yet figured it out, the Global chat room allows you to connect and communicate with all players from around the globe, whereas the Alliance chatroom only allows you to comunicate with players in realtime sho belong to your alliance. Using these chatrooms, you can obtain massive information about all the players and some will even occasionally spill secrets through whisper fails. To whisper someone, there are two ways of doing so, one is to click on the player's name, then tap on the Whisper button. Another way is to type in the user's name like this: "@TwilightGoddess" or like "\TwilightGoddess". Whispering someone is a way of communicating messages in chat that are not visable to the other players. As you may have already guessed, my in-game name is TwilightGoddess. How to 'Farm' another Player [walk3.25]----- ---------------------------- It is important to know how to Farm. Farming is the term we like to use when you are sending troops to another Player's Cities to obtain their loot. To Farm someone, you must first have at least 100 T1 troops and at least 10 Supply Carts or Supply Wagons. You also must take into fact, the level and power of the player's city you wish to farm. It is recommended that you attack a player who is no more than 100k might more powerful than you. If you wish to succeed at obtaining the player's loot, you must also send a high leveled Knight to lead the attack. The higher the level of the Knight, the higher the chances you will succeed in battle. There are two ways to farm someone. The first is to manually hunt for your target via the map. If you know the location x,y of your target, then you will want to insert them manually at the top of the map screen. Now tap on your target city. Now click on attack. Select your Knight, if any are available then select the troops you wish to send. Once that is done, tap on send attack to finish the proccess. If you are successful, you will be rewarded with your target's loot, if they had extra in the first place. Sometimes your attack will be successful, but you won't receive any loot. This is normal, so do not panic or worry. The second way to send an attack, is via the Rally Point. It is not recommended that you use the Rally Point when sending attacks, as it can take a little longer to perform than it would using the map. The First thing you do with the Rally Point, is to select 'March Troops. Then you will want to select 'Attack' from the list of options found below. Now, at the top you will see two blank text boxes, insert coordinates x,y and then tap on 'Next.' Now choose the Knight you want to lead the attack. Once that is complete, tap once again on 'Next'. Now select the amount of troops you wish to send. Now tap on 'Send'. Now you know how to attack/ Farm someone. These techniques can be transferred for Reinforcing, transporting and reassigning troops and resources to other cities. You can also use these techniques to attack and conquer Wilds and Pictish Camps. Do not attack Bogs as they cannot be attacked in the first place. Push Notifications [walk3.33]----- ------------------ Push Notifications are optional for use of the game, but they are turned on by default. You can turn them off by selecting 'Settings' tab found on the second section of the main Menu, also known as Hidden Menu mentioned above. I don't know how to describe the use and definition of the Push Notifications , so I will try my best and if I cannot succeed in giving you the proper in- formation, then I will remove this section from the walkthrough in one of the next updates. Push Notifications, when turned "on" inform the player that a particular project has been completed, such as Building finished being constructed, Research finished being researched, incoming attacks and incoming mail. Some of these features work, but others don't. If you have the Push Notifications turned on, you will be notified on the 'Lock Screen' or via a banner on your iOS device. There are currently three Push Notification options: City, March and Mail. The Mail Notification is very buggy so 99.9% of the time, you will NOT be notified of incoming mail. As for the City Notifications, Kabam, INC. has removed notifications of incoming attacks from the game as itr was causing some major technical difficulties for the development team when they we're making the game Android and Mobile compatible. As for the rest of the City notifications, you will be informed when you have successfully finished building, researching and when you have finished training Troops, and you will even be notified when your City has run out of Food. Very Handy, eh? Now for the 'March Notifications', you will be notified when you have finished sending an attack, reassigning troops, or finished transporting resources. Push Notifications are a great way to keep yourself informed about anything that goes on in you're City. In my opinion, you should keep the Push Notifications turned on at all Times. Kabam ID [Walk3.34]------ -------- In order to participate in In-Game events and contests, you must first, if you haven't already done so, create a Kabam account. By creating an account, you will be able to save your game progress, be eligiable for in-game contest and special offers. But the most important factor of creating a Kabam account is you will earn an instant 75 Gems, free of charge. Game Center [Walk3.35]------ ----------- The Game Center feature is only availble on iOS devices. This feature allows the user to connect their current game account to their Game Center account in order to achieve certain pre-set achievement goals. These Achievement goals can be found in the next section of this Walkthrough. Once an account has been synched with the game, it cannot be undone. Please choose this option carefully. To sync your kabam game account with your Apple Game Center account, please follow these picture instructions below. 1. Locate your main menu at the bottom of your screen. One of the most commonly used methods is the "v-mail." The "V-mail" is similar to the e-mail we use in our everyday lives. This is very simple to use. The following figures will highlight how to use v-mail as to better understand it yourself. To access the v-mail, simply click on the "Mail" tab found on the Main Menu bar found at the bottom of the screen. The main Menu bar looks like this: |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| Regular Menu Hidden Menu |----------------------------------------|__________________________________. |.----. | | ||view|Items Quests Alliance Mail Chance Train Rsrch Rank setting share Gear| |'----' |__________________________________| '----------------------------------------' figure 3.37a First I would like to point out that there are 3 sections to the v-mail messaging systems. These are: a. Mail: The Mail folder contains all of your in-coming messages from the Game Developpers, your Alliance messages and mail sent to you from other Players in the game. It also contains all the Invites you receive asking if you want to join an Alliance. The Mail folder can hold and store up to 1,000 messages. Any new messages after that, an older one will be deleted. b. Reports: The Reports folder is used specifically for holding all of your In-coming and Out-going Scouts, Attack data, transportation and re-assignment of your Troops information. Additionally, your Reports folder can only hold up to 1,000 Reports. For every new Report that comes in, an older Report will automatically be deleted. c. Sent: The Sent folder contains a copy of all the mail you have sent to other players within the game. The sent folder also holds up to 1,000 messages. The following figure shows us the Main Mail Screen. .--------------------------------------------. | .------. .------..------.| | | home | Mail | stgs || Edit || | '------' '------''------'| | .----------. .-------------. .-----------. | | | Mail | | Reports | | Sent | | |-------v------------------------------------| |____________________________________________| | Feb 15, 20:17 PM | | Kingdoms of Camelot \ | | Welcome to Battle for the North / | |____________________________________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |____________________________________________| | .-----------. .----------.| | 1 Messages | Empty | | Compose || | 0 New '-----------' '----------'| '--------------------------------------------' Figure 3.37a ______________________________________ | Click on the 'Empty' button to delete| | every message you have in the box you| | currently have open. | |________________ ___________________| |________________________| /_________________| __________________________ | .-----|/----. .----------._| Click on the 'Compose' | | 1 Messages | Empty | | Compose <_ button to create a new | | 0 New '-----------' '----------'|| message. | '--------------------------------------------'|__________________________| Figure 3.37b .--------------------------------------------. | .------. .------.| | | Back | | Send || | '------' '------_|______________________ | ________________________________________/ Insert the name of the | | | / Player you wish to | | |_______________________________________\ message here. | | \________________________| | .----------------------------------------. |_________________________ | | |/ Insert the title subject | | '----------------------------------------'\ of your messafe here. | | .----------------------------------------. \_________________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ________|_|_________________ | | / Insert your message here | | | \____________________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | '----------------------------------------' | '--------------------------------------------' Figure 3.37c Notes: This game requires the use of standard ASCII lettering, such as the letters A-Z, 1-9+0 and standard side text, such as: !@#$%&*()-_=+^ Any other text or emoticons will not work and therefore cannot be seen during anypart of the game.
