How do I make a sim go on a twenty-four hour fishathon?

How do I get a sim to do the twenty-four hour fishathon? It is a task and it won't let me skip it. I can't even get sim to visit the park. I really need help. This is frustrating!

Tap on the Park once you are there cluck on a sim and with the whistle call it to the park then go to the dock and cluck on the Fishing pole and it should give you that option.
