How to get them to read for book club?

I am about to pursue this.

First you will need to have a book shelf. (bookshelf will offer option "read pulp novel")
Second, have five Sims that belong to you that you control. (not neighbor sims.)

I have a bookshelf in one Sims house. I am going to send all of my sims there and have all five of them read "a pulp novel" at the same time. I am pretty sure that this is what we are supposed to do. Good luck and I'll let you know how this works.

Ok I had such a hard time with this task you don't need 5 bookshelves or to read pulp novels the trick to having 5 Sims read a book from the book club is to have 5 sims read fine literature at the same time and no worries you don't have to waste 12 hours letting them read it after you've completed the task you can simply cancel the action and continue onto your next task

Ok so I had five Sims go to house with bookshelf and clicked to bookshelf once per sim for pulp novel and once they were all reading task was complete. Have no idea about the fine lit deal but that didn't work at all.

Just have them read pulp novel at the same time. It work.

You must have all 5 people at the same residence read a pulp novel from the same bookcase at the same time.
