Try rotating the baby's bed and maybe your Sims will be able to get to it. The blue feet means something is blocking them. If you're desperate, put it in the middle of a room with nothing around it and see if your sims can get to it. Also, make sure they can get into the room that the baby is in.

Try having the adult/parent sim 'entertain' the baby first. Then, try feeding the baby. My male parent (dad) did not want to 'cuddle' his baby until he entertained her first.

It works!
Guest answered:

I'm not exactly sure about the blue feet, but I know from personal experience that moving it WILL NOT help. Try waiting until the the baby's needs are all red, then perform the action. All actions (except having a birthday) will help fill up one of it's meters.

I had the same problem till I moved the cot from against the wall
Guest answered:

If moving the cot doesn't work; Try having the baby's birthday. After a while the sim might not want to take care of the baby and it may be time for the baby to become a toddler.

Guest answered:

Don't put the baby bed against the wall put it one step away from the wall

I tried going out of the house to the town view, collected some XPs then went into a different house then back to the first house with the baby and now her Mom will tend to her. I don't know why the Mom would not take care of her baby for a while.

If the blue feet appear then turn the crib around

Had the same problem but moved the crib so there is space either side of the crib and the sims will start to feed the baby just tried it it worked yipeee!!

Guest answered:

You have to get another crib

Lol no he doesn't need another crib
Guest answered:

The baby needs to be facing the correct way in crib. If head is not on pillow sim will not interact. Go to town than back in and see if baby changed position

Guest answered:

IT HAPPENED TO ME TOO BUT NOTHING IS BLOCKING IT THE baby IS IN A CRIB AND WHEN I TELL THE MOTHER OR FATHER TO TAKE CARE OF IT THEY don't WANT TO WHAT SHOULD I DO 😩😭😭😭

How come the sims won't do the needs for the baby
Guest said: 28th Jan 2015 | REPORT
Try putting the baby in the middle of the room in works for me. Make sure you have a good amount of space
Guest answered:

You should try making them go right next to the crib and then tap .
I got the same problem.

Guest answered:

If your Sim will not take care of their baby it is because they are problay not married make sure your Sims are married.

I woohoo-ed with a married man, so I can’t marry him
Guest answered:

Your sim needs to have access to the BACK of the highchair in order to be able to put the baby in. If the back of your highchair is against a wall or object, blue footprints will show up on top of your sim

Guest answered:

Why won't my sim take care of it's baby every time I do it the blue feet come up and I try to get other sima to do it but the same thing happens

Guest answered:

Also, make sure your baby's room has a door.... Mine didn't and that was the problem.

Guest answered:

The back of the crib is probably in the front. Try turning or move the crib.

Guest answered:

Same, even when I make her walk to the exact same room, she still will not do it, and my baby is getting worse and worse. I might have to call a sim over and see if they will take care of someone else's baby!

Guest answered:

What worked for me is changing the direction of the hood so it's toward the wall. Haven't had any problems since.
